have you scanned the cel to see what codes come up?? Sounds to me like the car may be running rich, this could be caused by a bad maf.. Its hard to tell over the internet by ## discription of the problem, id have to see it in person.. but first scan the cel for codes..

You fill up the coolent front the thermostat housing cap..Check coolent, make sure its there is no air in the system and check the fans to make sure there running...To me it sounds like the car is being air cooled instead of fan cooled lol..
