I just finished up my holset hx-35 swap. I have a strange issue that just came up. I took the car for a ride up the street and it didn't feel to really be boosting. I went about 1/4 mile in all. Upon pulling back into the garage the car stalled. That is when this starts but will not stay running...

Neat setup. Would have saved me some time. No waterlines for the Holset! Just loop the lines.

Does the fitting thread into the turbo or the oil filter housing? I believe I am using a 4 an feed line but what is the thread pattern of the holset and the oil filre housing.

I have this problem also. I have put about 5000 miles on this clutch and 85% of the time it is light and easy but sometimes it is very hard. I would love to find a solution to this.

I actually found out that I can just check the gnd timing box in dsmlink to check timing. Now I just need a timing light :)

I was looking to verify the base timing on my car. I have a 2g so I cannot adjust the base timing. Do I just look at the dowel pins on the cam gears or should I get a timing light as the vfaq states?

Well I have about 800 miles on mine. I cannot believe how light the pedal is. The only issue I have is bad clatter in 1st gear. Other then that I give it a thumbs up.

Well my car is up and running. I only have about 250 miles on it. I will say my 4:3 has a bit of chatter and is a bit sensitive. I am getting used to driving with it. Pedal pressure is good and from what I can tell it holds well. I will give you an update after the next tank of gas.

I forgot to close this out! I solved this problem yesterday. I went to check the O2 sensor harness side. The wire colors where all wrong. I then looked around and found that the o2 sensor plug was plugged into the cruise control. Needless to say I swapped em and all is good.

Nah the dsmlink isn't it. It runs the same on the stock ecu. I do think it could be a bad ground in the ecu area.

Looks like a good test! I have a brand new front O2. I guess I will just replace it. It got worse when I installed my 95 ecu with dsmlink. The injectors didn't change anything. Just verified another piece of the puzzle. I may have a bad ground in the ecu.

Pull that black piece off. It is just a fancy spade connector. Go pick up a cheap pack of female spade connectors strip and crimp and its hooked back up.

That is what I was thinking after looking at the engine wiring diagram for a while. What are the downfalls of not having this hooked up anymore? I have removed all of the emmissions and blocked the egr. Do I need this hooked up? I ask because it looks like it fell out of the motor somewhere.

It isnt the AC plug as it is already plugged in. It could be the EGR actuator but I am not sure. This comes off the harness directly over the ignition coil. Coming out of the same place is injector #1, A/C, and Coil plugs. The Timing belt has less then a mile on it. as does most of the motor.
