I haven't pulled the fuel filter yet it's on the to do list as well as all fuel lines. I'm not sure what I want to do yet I like the car and it's a good base to work with to build a nice little street/strip car. So I might go ss lines or russel pro classic or factory idk yet. Any input guys? I...
Well here is the sending unit. She is done for. The tank is in the same shape. Good thing I have a good used one :)
Ill get the tank changed out here soon. Updates to come.
I bought this at the poilce auction last week.
I brought it back to the shop and looked the car over to find a missing starter. It also appers that the clutch was replaced on it at some point in time. I put a starter on it sprayed some brake cleaner in the intake. It fired right up. But not...
I had to weld the lip on mine where it neck downs by the tb mount point. I bored mine out to 60 and it was way to thin so I had to weld it. So when I was at it I welded the egr and old iac holes shut as well. But it was a nice improvement on throttle response.
I no with the snap on modes you can turn off the injectors individualy I have done it before. I'm not familiar with the machine that you have though. Check it out and see if u can do it.
When it's running like crap do cylinder cut outs on all of them. Turn off each fuel injector see if it makes a change if not turn it back on. Do it to all 6. Then do the same with your coil if it has a coil. Idk lol. Could be one of them issues. If not can u shut off sensors with ## scanner? Try...
So I have a dumb question. I have a small 16g and a hc1 holset. I was reading the compound turbo thread and was like hmmmm. I know that the holset would spool up nice with a bep hot side. So would it be a complete waste of time and money to run a compound set up with what I have? Of would it be...
I thought so. I haven't seen one like this before. So am I correct to assume that all true Mitsubishi turbos are only identified by there serial number and not by words like this one has.
I would donate but I just found out the company I work at is closing doors. But I will wish you guys the best of luck. And have you ever heard of the Arnold road rally in Nebraska? You should bring your car to it some time and race.
Ill buy it. Road trip!!!! I have a rear bumber ill give u for FREE just pay shipping. Only reason is just to help out a fellow dsmer who had a shoty day.
I wouldn't mind the 327 3 on the tree 2 door 64 impala. It would fit in my garage nicely but it will go for more then I have. I'm the 2nd owner of my 64 4 door impala I even have all the paper work and window sticker for it. I bought it 10 years ago when I was 15. Ive been working on it ever since.
http://www.vanderbrinkauctions.com/auction_images/135/documents/Inventory.pdfThis is some amazing stuff here guys. Cars with 4-7 original miles never titled. To bad there's nothing I'm interested in.Thought a few of you guys would apperciate the rareity of this.
I'm not a fan of high metallics (I hate painting them) but the car looks good and looks like your bro takes pride in his work. Take car of that beauty. No one ever realizes how much work goes in to a complete paint job. It drives me nuts when plp complain about prices when they want me to paint...
There's been a lot of talk on the local news here that if you don't know the person don't accept a cashiers check. When you cash it you are responsible to pay the money back if it is a counterfeit. I wouldn't do it.
Best answer so far. I do this kind of stuff every day. The glue I use is 3m 8115. It's a 2 part glue requiring a special gun to dispurse the glue. Fiberglass will just crack out. Find an old bumber cover try to get a 2g Dsm to get as close to same material as possible.
Hahaha yeah I HATE them tail lights. They were in the car when I bought it (8 years ago) haven't got around to changing them. I do have a stock set I picked up a few months ago.
Thanks guys. I was going to try to just get an engine in it and drive but the more I looked at it the more I want to replace every nut and bolt. And rebuild and paint everything. If it takes me 10 years to complete so be it the car isn't costing me money sitting in my driveway. I'm hoping to...
I prefer contrasting colors. Dark car light wheels. And you can't go wrong with bronze it's a good color.Off topic but are you painting the wheels yourself?
I bought this car awhile ago with a bad engine. But for $300 I couldn't say no. Right now the car is in sad shape the fenders need replaced, needs seats, well it will be a restoration pretty much everything needs replaced. So this build will take awhile.Oh by the way my 4 year old daughter...
If you use house of color use all there products there paint is made to be used with there clear. They put almost all of there uv protection in the clear other companies do a 50 50 protection in clear and base. I like there products, but dupont is another really good product and has a lot of...
A true chameleon paint job is like 3-7 coats of different paint ( special paint). That evolution looks like a silver base with a custom mid coat (pearl) then clear. You would have to have a mid coat made by your local paint jobber they can add amy color and amount of pearl you want. To get it...
I go in the parts store and ask for a starter for a 350 sbc. Parts guy what's it in. A 64 Impala. That's not the engine that in it they only had a 283 409 or a 6 cylinder in them. Me really!!! So your saying it don't have a 350? Yes that's what it (computer) says.well sir I know its a 350nuts I...
I buy all snap on. I do have a lot of craftsmen which are good tools and s fair price. But I use mine every day so now I only buy from snap on. If you don't use tools every day buy craftsmen good quilty and made in usa. Support american jobs any time possible.
The porting part of your build should be done by an experienced machist. If you have done port work before leave it to a pro. There is only one shop here in Nebraska I would recamend. Its in Lincoln though. So going to Colorado might be closer for you. Good luck on your build. Hope it works out...
Ok so im thinking it might be a cv shaft. I graved the driver side and trued to shake it. No movement. The pass side had movement. Were the shaft goes into the trans. It moves. So could I replace the cv shaft or do I need an output seal swell?
I have a 97 rs (420a) 5 speed. It shakes and vibrates bad at around 65mph. I changed the outer tie rods. Still no help. With the car jacked up no abnormal movement from side to side or top to bottom. I also put another set of tires I have on the car to make sure no broken belt or out of balance...
I thought about tires so I put a different set I had on and same thing. Im at a loss.I still might take to the tire shop Monday and have them checked anyways.I have a 96 talon awd. So I have a turbo already :) if it wasn't illegal id wreck the eclipse to make the talon faster.
My 97 rs (420a) 5 speed. Is having issues at about 65mph the front end shakes and vibrates real bad. I thought Mabye tie rods so I replaced them today (outers). All ball joints and everything looks good and feels fine. With the car jacked up no abnormal movement from side to side or top to...
