HKS 272 as a minimum but optimal would be GSC S2's or FP4R's

Have you checked the ecu to make sure that it doesn't have any blown caps? I have a 94 Galant GS that does exactly the same thing and i'm pretty confident that the problem is the ecu because it have a few blown things in there :(

People in here should do their research before they talk about the stock bottom end of an engine, for the record the rods of a 4G64 engine are the same as the ones on a 7 bolt 4G63 turbo engine which means that they've been proven to hold 500+ whp without issues. Also you can swap the internals...

This could also be a great manifold for a 2G head since the ports are similar in size which will keep the porting to a minimum.

We use a spark tech cop setup with bkr8eix (iridium) gapped to .16 at 39psi on e98 and works like a charm

What we thought that was a misfire ended up being valve float so we changed the springs and retainers and solved the problem :)

Unfortunately our dsm88 was a journal bearing unit due to a previous failure we had. Looks like the excessive back pressure and the bearings didn't like the 40psi of boost that we were running

We run e98 fuel and the timing at 16degrees (max) and afr at 11.8 mixture I don't see the tune being super aggressive but Robert at fp did say that having the dsm bolt housing and the boost that we were running was causing a lot of backpressure that was the main reason of why the turbo died. It...

I would like to know who said that our engine has arp rod bolts and/or main studs? The only thing that it has is headstuds and an oem mls headgasket that most people here has, so please before you are going to talk about someone else's setup please make sure to have your facts straight.

Congrats brother it was a rough road to it but we did it, I remember when I told that we were gonna run 145+ mph and everybody called me crazy Haha and here we are with great numbers despite the aweful 60ft. We'll celebrate when i get back to the states :)

Yup that's correct the car will be getting an fp3794 and hopefully will be ready for this weekend races. Also for the record the old turbo was rated at 80lbs/min as well so I hope to see new numbers with the new turbo :)

We used the evo springs and retainers on our 1g project with hks 272 cams and revved the car to 8200 rpms without a single issue.

We torque the head to 95lbs on our stock block project car (ostar motorsports)

the biggest restriction would be choosig the wrong cams for your setup

The weird thing about the clogging is that it is random, I know a few local dsm guys that run e85 and they haven't had any kind of problems. In our case we solved the issue by cleaning the system really good for the last time and switching to e98

have you guys consider using smaller tires? like m/t's 24.5x8

yes the mirage that came with the plastic ecu are reflashable as well and yes you can use them on the 2gs as long as you flash the dsm rom in it
