    Strange rich running problem

In the original post I listed everything that I have replaced/swapped with known good parts. Water may be a cause, but it's not a common component issue. I am looking for specific help from someone that has had this particular issue, not just random guesses. As I said, I believe it is in the...

    Strange rich running problem

As stated before, I've swapped the ECU out with 3 other known good ones, as well as the AFC with 3 known good ones. I had been running this setup for over a year as it was and the AFC worked great. I understand about getting things wet, but it has also been sitting for 4 months or more and...

    Strange rich running problem

OK, this issue has me stumped. It's long, so be patient. First off, 93 AWD, 20g , 2g MAF, adj FPR, SMIM, 680cc injectors, stock ecu with S-AFC1. I have been driving this setup for a long time with no issues. Recently I was at the car wash and had washed my car, dried it, and went to take off...

    Electrical problem? Need assistance

All 91-94 AWD 5 speed and FWD 5 speed ECUs will interchange in a 5 speed car, and all 91-94 AWD automatic and FWD automatic ECUs will interchange in an auto car.

    Electrical problem? Need assistance

Definately the problem. Not only are the caps leaking, but I can see burnt diodes as well.

fuel relay not clicking but relay works HELP

The ECU controls the relay. If you have to manually click the relay, more than likely the ECU is bad. Pull it out and check for leaking caps and burnt diodes.

    running really bad

I would check all inter cooler piping. It might not be blown apart, but there may be a loose clamp that when you are under boost it is letting the boost pressure out. Then check timing as suggested.

    Electrical problem? Need assistance

Pretty common symptoms of an ECU going out. Look at the stock boost gauge in the dash when it happens. A lot of times it will jump up to the zero mark when the ECU malfunctions. You can also pull the ECU out and see if the caps are leaking or if any of the diodes look burnt.

Goes mad lean+sputters on low throttle cruising

OK, if you have another MAF as brownfinger suggested, try swapping that. Also look at your MAF and see if any of the honeycomb is damaged, that will disrupt the air flow and can cause problems.

    timing belt change rough idle

When you change the timing belt, a good way to check the cam alignment is to lay a straight edge across the gears. Like a piece of paper or anything with a straight flat edge. All the marks should line up. The 2 on the outside, and the 2 on the inside. Cam alignment can cause rough idle and...

Goes mad lean+sputters on low throttle cruising

Are you running an open BOV? I've had similar problems with it being partially open at cruise and causing sputter and surge. Another question, are you running a 6 bolt swap in a 2g? The ecu can be causing a random misfire code and cutting cylinder fire. There is a pretty common fix for that problem.

New 3Dmotorsports shop drag car build!!

I started out small, and worked my way up. I actually worked out of my home garage for a few years. I was able to find a place within reason to rent. It's a 60x40 building with heat, electric and water. The previous user had set it all up and it works great for me. The best suggestion I can give...
