My friend did an exhaust cut out in his hood and ran a pipe straight out of there to control some of his temp problems that he was having with his honda and top mount set up. I do not know if that is an option for him but he should look into it.
Nah not that much. It can be done professionally for about 2k. Its fairly simple to do but its alot of bolting and unbolting of body panels to make sure everything is lined up.
If you are going to go with cutting the whole front end off then you might as well just tube it out. It would be alot cheaper in the long run. Its not hard to tube it out just takes some time.
Yes it is fixable. I would just completely replace the whole harness. Do you happen to know what caused the fire? It is going to take a lot of work to get it back to where it should be.
What color is the wire that is attached to it? I know that a few of the cars had factory cd changers and factory amps installed. My friend had a plug like that in his factory amp but it was stationed under the seat.
Uhmmm.. I don't know what you are talking about but you do not want to use larger wire. You want to keep it the same gauge due to resistance purposes. I previously did this on my harness and it takes a very very long time to complete. Your best bet if you are not that good at reading wiring...
I would have to agree. I as well do body work for a living and was wondering why all these people are advising a wet sand on primer. Really? Its pointless and unneeded. My body shop never ever wet sands primer. And the paint comes out looking amazing considering we are a dealership and body shop.
Take out your driver seat and pull back the carpet on the driver side. I have seen a lot of dsm's rust under the carpet in that section. Also check the rear wheel wells by the bottom quarter panel.
Well, I coated the under body, wheel wells, and interior area with por-15 and could not have been happier. But, then again my tsi does not have any rust anywhere.
POR-15 is an undercoating. Also its not that expensive. The kit for it is around $45.00. Also, I have used the 3m undercoating and found that I like the Rustoleum Undercoating a lot better. It really should not matter what it looks like unless the car will be a show car in which case he should...
You do not need a custom piping kit for the hks bov. When you order your fmic kit tell them you want it flanged for hks. Also, as far as the maf is concerned you can either run speed density or a gm maf set up. Get rid of the ebay header and go with a fp race manifold. Also what turbo do you...
Get yourself a nice set of Kelford 272's for your head and beehive springs. You will also need titanium retainers. Also have the machine shop do a nice port and polish on the head! Leave your stock crankshaft and Manley makes a nice set of forged pistons.
Yes, my grammar was off just a slight bit. But I could not help it due to a long night last night with the police. Also for tools, get a pry bar!
REALLY??? Chrome wheels??? A Carport and an 80 piece tool set? First off, your clutch wont last until you drive it home because you dont know how to drive it! This is not even close to a car you should be learning on. And 500hp cars off the dealership lot is not even close to what this monster...
That still does not mean you start your build in this thread! Him screwing you over has nothing to do with you taking over this thread. If someone screws you out of something then you leave them feedback under there tuner account.
Ok guys so I have ran into a bit of a problem. I started on my harness and its coming very nicely. Problem is that on the branch that has the windshield wiper plug on it most of that stuff was deleted. Now 2 plugs had 2 wires each running back into the harness instead of going towards the...
I have a set of 2gb eclipse and 2ga talon side skirts all 6 pieces with no busted tabs if anyone is interested. Price is $175 plus shipping. Shipping will be a little steep because of the size of skirts when packaged. If anyone wants them pm me. Thanks
They are still doing the mock up on there 1g. Its still in the r & d phase as well. I have not planned on doing a mass production of this. I have heard alot of bad things about chase bays engine harnesses. Not to mention that they only use 1 size wire for the whole harness.
