I would love this to be her first car! However the powertrain will more than likey have to find a new chassis by then...to many winter years on this one.
My daughter is a 1 1/2 years old, havent had my laser road worthy for a few years up until now.Its time she gets to see it alive for the first time in her life!
Ive got 41k miles on my act 2600 now. 20k miles of that was on a sprung street disk before it was wore out and began to slip. The next 21k was on a sprung 6 puck and that is also ready to be changed.Pressure plate is still the original. Its seen more launches and wot pulls than i can count and...
I noticed you didnt mention if the car feels like its low on power from lack of boost. Is your boost gauge reading accurately or has the line gotten clogged with something or a hole in it.
Many people, myself included, have have had great success with the standard mitsu composite.Saves on machining if not nessesary and can take the power of most typical dsm builds. GSXvsTSI is correct about the headstuds, they will be necessary for whatever gasket you choose if you plan to make...
Exactly this.Good chance youll get it back together just to have it fail again.Dig deeper to find a reason it failed to begin with.Unfortunatly thats always easier said than done.
The "switch" by the pedals your referring to is the clutch safety switch, this will not allow the car to start without it pushed in.What you can do and what most people do is simply unplug it.That will eliminate a future problem and will allow you to start the car without pushing in the...

I would highly suggest you do some looking into using the evo LSD. You can get them for a fraction of the cost of the aftermarket ones and its lock up is very effective.
I would assume a professionaly built anitlag system would also have the hot parts go through a(or several) metal treatment process to increase longevity.Turbine wheel,manifold,chra,ect..
Do you have a manual boost controller? If so take it apart and clean it.The ball may be stuck and not allowing pressure to reach the actuator diaphram. Or if you think the actuator diaphram is bad test it by putting compressed air to it and see if the rod moves.
Back to the backing out converter bolt issue, have you ever considered running safety wire through them like aircraft fasteners have? Or is there simply no room to work it in there?
As far as the lsd goes theres no difference in lock up between the 3 and 4 bolt. They both use the same viscous unit.Strength would be the only upgrade going from 3 to 4 bolt.I personally have a evo 8 diff with the clutches rearranged using the evo inner axle cups with the dsm 4bolt shafts and...
Was the replacement a used one? If so ya gotta remember all these parts roughly the same age and have wear and tear on them. Someone correct me if im wrong, i believe the ecu sends signal to the transistor, so there would have to be a bad/high voltage problem in the ecu to fry the transistor if...
Ive had the badlands 3.5'' for over three years and its worked great.Im just now havin to replace finally from it getting physically beat up from rally cross, running over snow banks and such.I belive i paid about 200 bucks on ebay for it with the cutout and y-pipe included.
I had a belt break on me at that speed once upon a time.Bend all 16 valves enough to crack the guides, i was lucky enough that the pistons didnt get damaged.Put a new head on like nothin ever happend. However i know others have not been as lucky and valves are embeded into pistons. Its always a...
Either the pump stayed powered or you got unlucky and experienced "syphoning" if i rememeber the correct term, its been some years since i used water/meth.Google "water/meth injection syphoning effect" or somethin like that.
Thats the reason for the solenoids and all the fancy jazz they want...
Where are you guys finding the information for the clearances, endplays, how to perform these checks, ect. Read through many threads saying its in the FSM, i have it, and nowhere in it does it go into that much detail. All the links i came across are so old they no longer work. I'd like to do a...
Gotta put that 4x4 to work!:hellyeah:Danm! that pics a couple years old now.I should have taken some pics this spring when me and my buddys talon did a tow off in his dirt driveway, those would have been some good ones for the contest. Here's a few more old boggin pics[/IMG]...
