Stock.... trust me 420a's do not sound great at all in their N/T form with an open exhaust. When I had my 95 ESi, that was my first "mod". Reverting back to a stock exhaust from a horrible 3.5" exhaust. Sounded 10000% better and even gained some TQ on the lower RPM band. :)

Buuummeeer!! I was on a search for a Evo III 5th gear for the longest time. I took a Hiatus from tuners for a few weeks and I've missed out lol :(

If it is the disc, I'm leaning more towards a defective unit batch, as I've run a Advanced Auto Parts brand one for 4 years now, 1 1/2 years the car was AWD and didn't have any issues.

Keep in mind you did add quite a few extra pounds with the AWD swap, not to mention the spyder is pretty heavy already ;)This is your second clutch, and sounds like this is the issue. Gonna be time to move away from part store clutches and upgrade to a nice south bend or at least ACT...

So far, in blacksburg there are 3 DSM's that I know. Myself being included lol. I have seen 2 Non-Turbo ESi's. Clean ones too.

Necro-Revive-Update on this thread. Four years later, alternator is still running like a champ with no issues. One of the best mods I've done along side getting ECMlink.

Coming from a 420a owner, the above posts are good advice on saving up for a 4G63 platform for a car to mod. Fix up the 420a, do full maintenance including but not limited to timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, acc belts, ect. Then enjoy a nice DD, while repeating the benefits of great MPG's...

I actually liked the Evo-V12's when I first started using them. However, I was disappointed on how quickly they wore out compared to my previous Bridgestones. Even with proper tire rotation and a recent alignment. Not to mention they got quite loud.

They both bolt up, but here is a quick read:Exhaust Manifold differences between 1st and 2nd gensNot too sure on the 6-bolt coolant lines for the turbo however. On the 7-Bolts, you can slightly bend to make work for a 14b/16g setup.

The turbo you are probably referring to is the 13G Turbo which came with the auto 1st generation dsms's. Swapping it back to the T-25 shouldn't be too difficult. Swap the 1G exhaust manifold for you 2G one, built the turbo up, and the only modification you'll probably need to make is probably...

Drove 100 miles to pick up my spyder. Used a 2WD dolly as well.

I run PR's FMIC, and I don't have any issue's. average temps are roughly 186-193 at the very highest on a super hot day.As said, proper ducting, shielding, and maintaining your cooling system will keep your temps in check.

As most said. Ducting is going to be key for you. I ran into constant battles with trying to retain my A/C with my FMIC. Proper heat shields, fans, and ducting will all be huge factors on a car that can blast A/C all day without any over heating issue's.If you can, I suggest trying to keep...
