+1 Steve.Honestly, this is the best tool for the job. Power Probe 3 with Gold Test Lead Set PP3LS01 2 in 1 | eBay
It will test a plethora of things all at once and find your problem quickly.
If your timing is off it will cause this. Verify that your timing marks are all aligned and that there is proper tension on the timing belt. If everything is good then look at the IAC as stated above. Do a datalog on it and post the log if you can. Other overlooked things are dirty throttle...
Those awd Honda's are pretty rad. There is a few of them here in Portland modded tastefully. Another great wagon to look into is the 98-99 Volvo V70R. It comes stock with awd and 265hp with a MHI turbo.
First off what year is it. There are different fuel systems for those trucks and pending if it has the dual pump set-up or has a carburetor on it. If it is fuel injected look at the coolant temp sensor first. Then when you are done check it again. If ok. Check o2 sensors then fuel pressure...
I saw that turbo on Craigslist and asked the guy for a pic of the front cover. Haha. He insisted that it is real and never sent pics. If you need another ebay turbo for parts when that one breaks hit me up. I have a couple in the garage...
No problem Fitzi. I have encountered this symptom when I was working for Pontiac. It's very common actually. Try this quick/temp fix. Literally kick the kick panel on the driver's side hard but not to hard that you break things. You will/may see your check engine flash but it resets the ABS and...
Did you install the bse bearing that blocks the oil passage correctly? Your pump may be faulty, even with the bearing installed incorrect you should still see some oil to the head not much though. Another thing is the pick up tube could be dumping oil back into the pan if the gasket to the front...
The cylinder heads you would find at Autozone or any other franchise parts store are not that great of quality. I purchased one for 550 a couple of years ago and all the exhaust valve seals started leaking pretty heavy after 4k miles. They would not warranty it out because it needed to be...
Along with the drug testing for welfare. I think if you don't have a job. Volunteering for no less than 6 hours everyday is mandatory and they still must report that they are trying to find a job by having a detailed list of places they applied at and the name of whom they spoke with. Just my...
Nippon Racing pistons are pretty good for the buck. Their piston rings are oem for our cars. They are made in Japan. Not China. All oem waterpumps say Aisan on them and as of the oil pump. I have seen some ebay pumps with nylon gears in them. Oem is steel. And if yours' has steel gears check...
I did the same to mine also. If you hard wire a large capacitor from a washing machine in it you can go up to 1/16th steel and get fairly good penetration on the material for a decent weld. . Welding aluminum is a major no-no with this welder even with a good spoolgun. The wire speeds are very...
I have seen a fuel pump throw a code. P0171 or P0172. However, needless to say it's still pumping fuel. Once the pump gets hot it may cause this issue. It is more common on Chrysler's these days.
Wet sanding then blend the new clear in. I did the same on my engine bay and I used 800 grit to even it and then 2000 to smooth it out and re-shot it and it turned out great.
You really need a scope to check if the cps and the crank sensor are in sync with each other and check for a refernce signal. Other than that check the yellow wire for about 9 volts. If it is not there check that wire for breaks and check your pcm power and grounds since both of those sensors...
You should have a cel once you turn the car on with out cranking. I would look into the coolant temp sensor if you have spark. It could be registering wrong but still be sending a signal to the ecu without triggering the cel to be on....
A tad off topic but my neighbor is by no means a car guy and tells me that there are so much nicer cars to build than a Honduh...... :ohdamn: :banghead:
Your'e right. If the car was a 1g it would make more sense to explain it that way. I don't know about fitment for a 2g though. 1g is difficult to interchange exhaust parts.1g fwd exhaust is literally that. An over axle pipe since it runs above the trailing arms and that area is very narrow for...
Yes and no. The center section is the only thing that will and if fits very crappy and has to be modified to fit to the over axle pipe. Not worth the headache and hassle.
Honestly seeing on how well this car was put together 12k is a great price for it. How many of you guys have a properly built DSM under that price that definitely has potential to break into the 9's? Not many...
Fully remove the throttle body and clean it with a rag soaked with carb cleaner. Remove the iac and clean in that area also. Clean the seat of the iac too. Then disconnect the battery terminals and rub them together to reset the pcm's adaptive memory.
The 98-99 7 bolts are different from the previous years with split washer thrust bearings. I hope I said that right. But yes they will work even an Evo 3 engine is a direct bolt up.
