You need to find a shop that has a scanner that can read your abs module. You have to know what the module is seeing that it does not like in order to know where to start diagnosing your problem. I am a master tech at a Brake Masters I do lots of abs diagnostics.
i went and pulled my old 13g out of the garage and It looks just like the one from my 13g it has the same markings on the side so i would say yes its a td04.
Thats why I said to remove the rocker arms so you are only left with the cams and bearing caps If they still will not turn its a problem with one of the two most likely the bearing caps.
First I would take the rocker arms out and see if the cams are able to turn, if not I would look at a problem with your bearing caps or the cams. If they do turn I would check your valve lifters and make sure they were bled and that there are not shims under them unless your cams require the shims.
I was having the same condition with my 92. I just changed my knock sensor about a week ago and no more problem at all. Just look under the intake manifold with a light and try to see if there is any black goo melting out of it. If so change it.
To check the bearing right shake it up and down not side to side. hold the top of the rim and tire and the bottom then shake. If you do it side to side you are testing the inner and outer tie rod ends.
Camshaft height is this intake cam (m/t turbo) is 1.3974 in. exaust is 1.3858 in. On the (a/t turbo) it is reverse intake is 1.3858 in. exaust is 1.3974. This is why the m/t cams have a little more hp and higher rpm stock and the a/t has a faster spool and torque.:thumb:
Ok I have been thinking about this and would like to see if anyone may have a answer to this question. With a ball and spring type mbc how does the pressure that has passed the ball escape after the ball closes again? Lets say you have your mbc set at about 14 psi and you run your car so it...
I feel it is better to get the right ecm for your car than changing pins to make one work. Here is a great site for ecms www.motoguysgarage.com the sell DSM ecu's they give a week test drive on them and a one year warrenty.
I would go ahead and check all of the basics out even though it seems to be a fuel problem it still might not be. Checking to make sure it has spark is really easy to do. And i know the distributor on the 1.8 do tend to have problems.
I was wondering if i could get a little help in locating the block plug that needs to be removed to check the rear balancer shaft for proper timing? I can not get a good idea of its location from ether my chilton book or alldata that is at my shop. I have had it on the lifts at the shop looking...
