I'm about to order a set of these for my wife's 2gb eclipse. I'll test fit them to my 2gb Talon bumper first to see if they work as is. If they do, I'll snag a 2nd set so I don't have to remove the high beam on the passenger headlight for a ram intake, nice product.
So you are using a hardly accurate VD to compare a car that has an efficient setup, to one that has mismatched parts?I can't be the only one that finds this comparison absolutely useless.
Super happy to see you back Glenn, one of the few people on the site I'd trust knowledge from without a second thought. It's good to hear things are going better. If you find yourself in a situation like that again in the PNW, I'm sure there would be an open door for a DSM'r like yourself.
Turn off fuel cut on deceleration, maybe get you closer to the skittle sound. Waste of fuel though IMO, hearing the turbo spool over a nice quiet exhaust is much better.
The length on the bolt sleeve for the trans mount is too long to slide into the bracket. The sleeve from the stock one is too small around to fill the prothane mount, but naturally the length fine. Is there any reason I just can't cut the sleeve down to the proper length? The inside diameters...
Recommending DSMGraveyard should get people an automatic red chicklet lol. OP, please look up the vendor reviews of DSMGraveyard before ever ordering anything from them.
This is about all I was able to find.

Has anyone used a 2g 5 speed AWD starter on an auto AWD 2g? As far as I know, the only difference is the gear length. Would there be any issues with the extended gear, has anyone done this?
You guys keep using this word, but I don't think you know what it means. If I can go on eBay or CL and own one within a couple minutes with no effort, it isn't rare. This guy saved a 2G from the crusher, let him put whatever motor he wants in it.
Definitely check the alternator fuse. I blew mine last year and the windows didn't work, but turning the headlights on caused the horn to blow until I pulled the battery cable. A new one for a couple dollars at the parts store fixed it.
Why is there a woman in here talking shit to everyone. No one cares how many hours you go to school, or why you feel the need to attack people and be so defensive.Oh hey guys I work exactly 40 hours a week and spend some off time on tuners, I'm super special. I bet none of you can match that. :P
Stage one eh?I don't know what the state law is for California, but in Oregon the plate just has to be viewable from the front of the vehicle. It makes no specification on where it has to be mounted. I've had a few no front plate tickets thrown out because of that. I just keep it in the...
It's about as good as any other "eBay" exhaust manifold. So it would be useful for a doorstop or giant paperweight. If you want a quality upgrade, pick up a cast FP race manifold.
These aren't poster quality or great shots, but I thought I'd post em anyways. Since they are both down for upgrades, it way be a while before I could get anything decent.
You are bitching about a free service. If you don't want to abide by their rules, go somewhere else. Just put in a random phone number from the phone book, I'm sure they don't actually use it for anything.
You can get a spacer to go between the head and the exhaust manifold (probably the easiest thing), or have an angled spacer between the turbo and manifold.I won't comment on the quality of those parts though. :D
Read this. http://store.forcedperformance.net/merchant2/graphics/news/Forced%20Performance%20Recommendations%20for%20Motor%20Oil.pdfVR1 and Rotella T6 are cheap and easy to get locally.
Hi Justin, I have a question about turbine housings for a p-trim wheel. Are there any bolt on housings available that for the p-trim wheel, or some that can be machined to accept the wheel? This is on a BEP 50 trim with a bad turbine housing. Maybe something like an FP30/35 or even a 7cm housing?
The EVO rods are similar to stock 7 bolt rods. The pistons create 8.8:1 in evos because of the smaller combustion chamber in the head, not shortened piston. They will be somewhere around 8.5:1 in a DSM.It's always a good idea to have the rotating assembly checked for balance.
The stock gauge doesn't actually tell you how much pressure you have, it's based on RPMs. Get an actual gauge if you want to know your pressure. If you have no oil reading on the dipstick, it's leaking from somewhere and will obviously cause big problems.
