I am currently selling my DSM, 98 eclipse GSX with 92,xxx original miles 5 speed LSD, has a few minor problems but thats about it. It is one of the cleanest dsms you will see in this area, theres a little surface rust on the hatch and that is it for rust. Done a lot of paint work on it, custom...
Complete piece, theres is a few screws (2 or 3) on the top or the old one and it pulls out then you install and wire your gauges and screw the new one in.
I have there oil pressure, boost and wideband all in the blue digital series, and I have nothing but good things to say about them. Ive had them for about a year and a half and have had no troubles with them. I would reccomend them to anyone who is interested in buying them.
Your link isnt working for some reason, do you have another to something similar. About how much time do you think im looking at in putting these together and making them work. This will be my first retrofit.
Ive read through all the retrofit articles on this website and im just looking for a little help/opinions on what I should do. I have a set a projectors out of a 2007 Cadillac Escalade. Im wondering if these are worth retrofiting or if anyone has used these before. I dont have any pictures of...
Is the motor in the car? Ive always found a razor blade then use head gasket cleaner or acetone with a brillow pad works good. Dont use sand paper or steel wool, seeing as its a greater chance of gettin shavings in the block.
Some cars are pulse width modulated at the pump to control fuel pressure, but others actually have the regulator right after the pump in the fuel tank.
318i came with a 4 banger. The 325i came with a inline 6, and the IX series was actually AWD, kinda hard to find though. The M series was as stated. They also made a diesel version I believe.
They usually say about 36 inches from the turbo, so about 3 feet. The closer to the turbo the more accurate reading your gonna get, but you will lose life on the sensor. Also you will mount it on a slight angle facing down so there is no water build up in the sensor.
I dont think its him selling them, seeing as it says hes from Indiana, and these motors are on Chicago craigslist. Maybe just showing members online if they need a new rotating assembly where they could find one.
Did you break the clutch in at all, or did you beat on it right away when you got it? If you dont break them in for 300-400 miles it will slip right away.
So to get the GM maf to work properly with ceddy mod we need the translator, where as DSMLink you can use there cable and they have a conversion/translator of some sort built into DSMLink? Correct me if im wrong.
What about running a blowthru MAF setup with ceddy mod. We dont have it as easy as the DSMlink v3 guys do we? Do we still need a maf translator for a GM maf to work with Ceddy mod. Any info would be great.
Plastic ECU, which is an H7 not an H8. Also had a MH7203FA chip, came out of a 98 Eclipse GSX. This was unflashable, even though the car had a flashport in it.
Nope they are not all flashable. You got to open the ECU up and look at the PCB code on the ecu. Theres 2 different ones. One IS flashable and one IS NOT flashable. MH7202F is the flashable PCB code.:thumb:http://ceddy.us/h8-ecu-wiki/h8-ecus/ do some research here
Low compression motor + no boost= :notgood:. But as far as your 0-60 times goin down could be from the motor just wearing out over time, low compression boost leaks yada yada yada as everyone else has already said. Just start with the basics and see what kind of numbers/info you find out.
What tubular header are you runnning? Looks like a nice piece. Also what model holset and what boost level do you plan on seeing? I am also wanting to make around 5-600hp so im trying to get an idea of what it takes to get there.
Very nice build, im looking to build a G4CS over summer to drop in during winter. Just curious, what kind of internals are you running, and what kind of power are you looking/hoping for. Very nice job on your build by the way.
Do not do this. The wastegate should have a line of its own and not share a line with anything. The wastegate line should come off the J-pipe, or any pipe right after the turbo directly to the wastegate.
Arent some of the vacuum ports off the intake manifold/throttle body only used for vacuum, they might have a check valve in them that close once it hits boost. Id try hooking it up to another vacuum port.
Sounds like a vacuum and/or boost leak. Have you done a boost leak recently. Also how are the condition of your vacuum hoses. Still have emissions stuff??
Should start out by looking here, there is alot of useful information that can help you with your problem. Your mpi/fuelpump relay will be behind the radio mounted next to a few other relay. Test the relay and confirm that its functioning.DSM Forums - Search Results
Alright I just started tuning with Ecuflash and now have some questions with getting the injectors dialed in. Im have PTE 550's and I took the base setting of ceddys website of 535 flow and add .180 mSec. Now when I do this and start up and drive it is running rich 12.1-13.1. The o2 is also not...
Also I believe he would throw an emissions code due to the 97+ having and different evap system layout. Just all depends on if you have to do emissions or not
If its as clean as it looks I would pay 7000 for it. Its got alot of mods and all the right supporting mods.
I would go look at it, do a compression test on the motor, look over the car and decide from there. Maybe try to talk him down a little bit.
Thanks guys. And its actually gonna be painted black. Dont ask me why he didnt buy a black one to begin with, but that is what he wants. After The total build he will have close to 1/2 a million. That is with a custom one of billet block, performance goodies, and all the body work he is gonna...
I will post pics probably tomorrow. These where from a few weeks ago. The front bumper is alsmost done and the doors are complete and out to get the molds made.Heres just a few photos I had on my phone
Yes, this is just showing the basic shaping of the car out of foam. After this we still lay fiberglass over it, measure both sides to be sure they are symmetrical and bondo and filler the get it perfect. Once complete we send it off to another company that creates molds of the pieces we have...
Heres a little project were doing at work, figured id share the video for all you guys to see. Let me know what you think.:thumb:YouTube - 2010 Camaro SS Custom Wide Body Kit Stopmotion
yes that would be my guess. A 10.5:1 ratio at cruise would cause horrible emissions and cause your cat to glow orange. Also you would probably notice carbon build up around your bumper by the exhaust. 10.5:1 is a little to rich for me. You are prob losing a little power you could have by going...
I think you ment to say when you go WOT open loop is enabled. :thumb:Sounds like its either a burnt chip from Jeff or it is DSMlink. Like said before a picture of the actual chip will help with determining what you have.
Theres about 3 or 4 injector designs that are widely used in cars. There are also others that are used for a 1 time application or on only a few models of car. (new direct injection motors and some other cars). But yes, the stock turbo injectors are 450cc, unless its an automatic, I believe they...
