Let me revive this old thread as I'm in the same boat.......every picture I see, the sensor is mounted horizontally requiring angled AN fittings, is this sensor not able to be mounted vertical like inline with the fuel return line after the AFPR?
Hey guys, I've spent the day searching and there seems to hardly every be any pictures posted of what peoples solutions were for downpipes/o2 housings when trying to run a Holset turbo. Now obviously if you're running the DSM flanged BEP housing, nothing too custom was required. This thread is...
I wan't to bring this back up. I was wondering if anybody has street experience with the Competition Clutches triple disc? It is about $1100 less than the Magnus and definitely more in my affordable range. I just sold my single disc setup I planned on using tonight so I gotta pick up something else.
Got my turbo in the mail today. I thought it was gonna be the 18cm housing, I lucked out as it came with the 16cm!!! I'm hoping to prove some TS power!!
Thanks for chiming in. You can disregard my PM on the link forums. That is a t3 housing right? It's a little different than my setup. I see you don't have PS anymore and the whole hood exit thing. I'm hoping I can make it fit with the alternator and PS being up front on my 2G and still a rear...
Hmm this is interesting. I hope he decides to chime in on this, maybe with some pictures of clearances? I refuse to run a BEP housing. I'm utilizing this TS manifold one way or another haha. Paid way to much for it not to.I'm getting mixed responses from people saying you can and can't...
I'm looking to see if anybody has installed an Hx40 utilizing either a 16cm^2 stock housing or 18cm^2 stock housing, T3 frame. I'm going from my Hx35 to the Hx40 and want to continue using the benefits of my overly priced twin scroll manifold lol. I can't seem to find any info of anybody running...
This thread is misleading. I thought these mounts came with shiny new hardware...they do not. Can anybody help me with what size bolts I need? Also why did you guys weld a flat washer on your tab? Mine does not have that.
Wow, you're right. Quite the price difference, Somebody needs to compare the two, especially for longevity. The Magnus setup is claiming to last much longer on a daily and that is something I'd be after.
Wow, I think I really want one of these for my next clutch. I'm currently on a SBC and it has held up but I plan on low 10 second passes with my full weight + 2G. Do they ever go on sale? Lol
Can this be done just as easily on a 2G? I just rebuilt my driveshaft completely less than 200 miles ago and I still have this intermittent thump....:notgood::(:banghead:
Statistically the lowest year for confirmed CW actually. If you post a picture of your bay we can better help you but it sounds like somebody has definitely at the very minimum switched to a 1G CAS.
Well this old thread seemed promising but I contacted the company and they no longer offer anything for our DSMs. I guess people were twisting the rear shafts on hard launches pretty quickly and they can't seem to locate anything stronger.
Wow, it has been a couple of months since I updated this thing. I'm probably skipping a bunch of stuff but here is some recent stuff.July 2013:I needed a 1 piece upper intercooler pipe made. Crazy shops close to me want $225-300 just to cut and weld my own pipes together. I recently...
The fronts with KMV brackets just like everybody else, actually less machining required because they have taller mounting ears. The rears just had to open up the factory mounting holes because they use larger bolts. I've got tons of pics in the Brembo thread.
You know, I hope somebody has the answer to this, I too have never had a constant to my radio, I had to run a wire straight to the battery as already mentioned with a fuse. My interior lights do not work nor does my door ajar beep. Actually my instrument cluster doesn't even say if the door is open.
Not a radiator patch, but I have eliminated my FIAV lines, coolant to turbo lines, and coolant line to factory oil filter housing. I did all of thise with JB weld and short bolts since I am not taking the water pipe off the car anytime soon. Has held up fine for 2 years so far. Zero leakage.
I really appreciate the comments everybody. So here is my CC and intake back from Frontline Fabrication.April 2013 update:I'm shooting for an all around street car that is also fast. Not the type to gut it and drag it only. I like my luxuries, and while I can claim that these brakes are an...
Hey thanks for reading it! I'm glad you liked it. If I only inspire one persons build, that is enough for it to be worth it to me. I still have a bunch of stuff to update. Stay tuned.
April 16th 2013:Houston we have progress! Yeah, I've been lazy all winter and not gotten much done. Since it warmed up I've been back at it. Although there is rarely ever a week where I put in less than 50 hours at work so I'm usually pretty beat down. No excuses! Time to get her going.I...
March 2013:
Well it has been cold here, and haven't been too motivated to work on my car. Been waiting on a couple of parts to come in and I've really only done destruction lol.So after talking with my tuner, we decided that a TS setup would help me reach my goals a lot sooner and easier. I...
I have the extremepsi remote mounting kit. Running off my ffwd forward facing OFH. I'm just trying to determine the best place to mount the actual sensor part. AEM digital oil pressure gauge.
I've got my remote oil pressure kit from Extremepsi installed, but the end runs basically right into the belts or axle. I'm trying to figure out where I can mount this sensor to hook it up to my gauge. I was considering going under the oil pan but was worried about heat from the DP. I'll get...
