By not allowing comments you only allow one end of the spectrum while not allowing the other. At least allow a broken heart. Decent business plan for selling though.
When I first got into cars I was doing a turbo swap and needed to drill the pan for an oil return line. After I sent the pan to get welded I realized that the high pressure fuel line had to be released by starting the car. I took off the gas cap and cycled the car until it died. (Maybe 5...
Have a spare 1g manual transmission Im willing to part ways with. Recently replaced the side cover. Ive only bolted up the transmission and filled it with fluid. Never ran the engine to understand the condition of the transmission internals. Was bought from someone who said there was roughly 90k...
The sky is blue.So you criticize me but then you agree with me... Your way of thinking is astonishing. Nonetheless Ill take the high road and tell you that you are free to your opinion...whatever that may be...I could really care less. Good luck at the races.
Negative, was a shell I picked up. Everything powers just no voltage to the starter signal switch. To shinzon:
Unplugging the clutch switch takes this out of the equation. I just find it weird that the MPI relay clicks however nothing happens. Ill be picking up new leads tomorrow for the...
Wanted to get everyones opinion. Im about done throwing my car together and Im running into an issue for a no crank no start. This means when I go to start the car, I turn the key to start and all I hear is a click coming from behind the radio. I believe it to be the mpi relay.Knowing this I...
I agree, change to BR7ES and gap them lower. I typically run anywhere from 0.019-0.025 depending on the amount of boost.Glad to hear your problem may be solved.
This is what I was pointing out, all opinion based. Some other people with ego problems look past this.Anyways, glad to hear you are staying with MAF, you'll enjoy it a lot more when the seasons start changing. Happy tuning!
For all out performance I never said it wasnt true. So I would like to thank you for putting words in my mouth. Makes. you. look. even. smarter....
Also, I would not consider a DSM at 500hp "all out performance". Maybe you do because thats all you can make? Who knows.
Per your post, the reasons why its bad:
Its "garbage" (no examples given.)
Its "inconsistent" (no examples given.)
They are "handicap" (again no reasons)
Theres no power threshold where SD makes less/more power (Opinion based, no reasons)SD is fad, get over it.
I also like how you dont...
Your points and end result contradict each other. In what cases would you want to have a boost leak? In what case would you want a sharp angle in air flow? And why would you put a band-aid on them by switching to SD?
Also, the amount of power you would lose below the threshold I spoke about is...
$100 for piece of mind.
Typically Ill reuse a set once, after that, Ill just buy a new set.
Also, please never reuse a head gasket. You'll only be asking for trouble
What would happen if you installed them and they were already into the elastic deformation of the material, yet they didnt break on install? The first time the engine sees higher cylinder pressures it could snap the stud/bolt. Yes you may argue that the other bolts may not be into the elastic...
I was speaking to arps. Not oem.
Oem specs are as followed
cold - 65-72 ft.lbs
hot - 72-80 ft.lbsARP I believe calls out 80 ft.lbs on their sheet that comes with the studs. This is with using the moly lube. If you dont have moly lube you can use oil and bump up the tq ~10-15 ft.lbsThis is...
Sounds like the car jumped timing.
Very odd to see all rockers off, but nothing amazes me anymore. Its what happens when you stay around DSM far too long. :)
What could have caused this? If timing is jumped for a longer period then a few teeth. (Multiple rotations of the cam)
This would point...
^Aliens^I know understand your predicament.
Chances are those numbers are serial numbers. Could always call FIC to understand. Or if you want to be a real O-G, you start plugging numbers into ecuflash by what you think they are. Then read logs to understand what they are not.
If you can pull it and upload it, then change it...What are we missing? You are unsure about the values you are inputting? If so those values are a ballpark. It will get it running enough to get it to a shop. Itll either start and run or nothing. If you change it and upload it and it doesnt...
If you dont want to get it trailered then input latency and injector scaling for that particular injector as mentioned. If you dont know how to pull roms and upload them, you should really consider taking it to a shop. aka trailer. Its a pain when you lock the ecu.Below you will see roughly...
Depends if there is other cracks along with the missing pieces. If that was the only thing that happened, Id still run it, but be gentle with it. Do weekly compression checks etc.
Now if you want to push power through it...I would recommend replacing.
That center bolt holds the timing sprocket on the crank. It does not hold on the pulley.
Lightly hit the pulley 180 degs apart and work it off.
Worst case, get a puller. Using a puller could break off portions of the backside of they pulley though. (Know from xp)
Those limits suck, I think its time to move to a free state :)
High HC levels tells us that there is unburnt fuel in your exhaust. Anything to optimize the burn would help. New plugs, wires, etc. Ive also read that changing the oil can help as well. Due to the gas leaking past the rings into the...
Looking at the cover of the patent it does not state any extension dates and it, as stated above, is 23 years old.
Id call them back and have them prove to you that the patent is still valid being that it is over the 20 years and it was never extended.
If that cant, tell them to piss off.
