Im looking at putting some newer gm style wheels on my 01 sierra that im building. can someone please help me make a decision buy photoshopping these wheels on this truck. Any help is appreciated.
Haha lol. There is no coolant coming outta those ho's! its a separate core for the trans cooler..... just put regular plugs on them no clamp needed. (no pressure)
you need gorrilla glue. i have repaired a few dashes with it. it holds stong and lasts. use something to clamp down the material until the glue dries. I used vise grips to press together two wrenches (one on top of the dash material and one the backside of the dash) so that i got a good spread...
Ha "what do you want me to do about it?" how about you pull your head outta your ass and put together a decent turbo??? I think that I would probably be going to see them in person to let them know what they can do about it. Im doing a new build now and I will be speaking to the guys at FP very...
Im pretty sure that it has an expansion valve... not an orifice tube. You probably have something plugged up though like jusmx said. You can check the low and high side with the engine off and they should be equal, if you still get no reading on low side then something is clogged, maybe the...
Just replace it anyway.... they are not expensive. If you don't replace it and it has lost its ability to absorb moisture, you will be doing this job again pretty soon.
the accumulator or drier in your case contains a desiccant that removes moisture from the line. it is recommended that you replace it any time it is exposed to atmosphere for an extended amount of time. replace it after leak is fixed before charge. should be next to the condenser.
+1, however a vacuum pump will not do you any good until the leak is fixed. after you find and repair the leak, you can rent a vacuum pump from a parts store to remove moisture that may have built up.
if you dont have freon in the system then you have a leak.... its not normal to lose it overtime, it is a closed system. That being said you need to figure out where the leak is.you can buy freon cans that have dye in them and charge the system. With a uv light you will be able to see where the...
maybe one day the dsm bug will get you too. by the way I really like that you stuck with the KA instead of the over rated SR that everyone else puts in the 240s. Ive seen a lot of sick KAs that made more torque and horsepower than most SR guys.
check for oil in the exhaust system and intake. if you have oil built up there then yes, it is blown and needs a rebuild or upgrade. if there is no oil in the exhaust or intake piping, then I would suggest you take a closer look at the drain. if you had oil in the exhaust your car would smoke...
I ran my daily driver like that for about 6 months because I was too poor to fix it. It will be slow as christmas because the compression is to low to run efficiently w/o boost (especially a 1g since the compression is 7.8-1 instead of the 2g's 8.5-1) It will be fine.
castrol doesn't make nextgen, Valvoline does.... Nextgen oil is also made of 50% used oil. Valvoline claims that it is every bit as good as their regular oil. The fact of the matter is, most conventional oil brands use a percentage of used oil in them. That being said, I dont think that the...
Actually, all the fuses and relays are still being used. The only thing I tossed was the a/c relay box on the driver side near the firewall. of course i got rid of about 50 Ibs of unnecessary wire, plastic wire loom, and electrical tape.
So today I used the diagram I made to start running wires and see how much extra wire, mesh conduit and heat shrink im going to have to buy. I started at the interior harness connectors that attach to the fuse panel next to the driver door. I used the diagram to separate which wires go out the...
idk yet, i have thought about it, but since you cant really see any of the interior wires I cant really find a good reason to mess with all that. I am doing this in order to make the cleanest engine bay I can, I plan on a seam sealer removal / bay shave as well. although Im not looking forward...
Im in the process of building my 91 TSI and since I cant spend any money right now, I am trying to do all the inexpensive but time consuming tasks. I recently started on a wire tuck and fuse box relocation (to console). as I started taking apart the engine wiring harness I decided to make a...
yep shoulda snatched the $5100 but the world is full of suckers so who knows. by the way, you think that is bad, take a look at what i ran across today.....1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 AWD TT
I would love to have a magnus 2.2 stroker kit ideally however its a little too much for my budget. other stroker kits (2.3,2.4) are half the cost. Im wanting to build a 2.2 engine with rod ratio and rpm range in mind but i also don't want to break the bank. I really like magnus products and if I...
As for the oil leak you speak of, get used to it... as soon as you fix it another will become apparent. Its just part of owning a 20 yr old car. As for what you can do first as far as mods go, all i can suggest is to start with VFAQ Site - Visual Frequently Answered Questions for the basics...
well, I have never had a 2g so I don't know a lot about the 2g wiring harness but on a 1g the alternator wire goes directly to the positive terminal so that would mean that you should get the same results either way. The only difference is that the alternator wire goes though a 80amp fuse in the...
Ok well then that's probably what you should have said in the op then..... I also didn't think you wanted handouts, and your post suggests that your car has a "condition". or "situation" and I was simply trying to get you back on the road as soon as possible. good luck
well I can't say that I agree with your style, however it is YOUR car and you shouldn't let other people tell you how it should look but you should know their will be a lot of haters and to some it will look "ricey". I say more power to you and good luck. I also know for a fact that you are...
I used to have a talon back in the day with a crazy universal fmic and the couplers would blow off all the time.... I could not drive it anywhere when that happened because it wouldn't get over 3k.
Instead of trying to get someone to come to your house and fix your car, it would probably be better to explain your cars situation that way you have a broader spectrum of people to help you help yourself. I assure you that there are tons of people on this site that can probably help you solve...
our cars have the mass air flow sensor at the very beginning of the intake after the air filter (if you don't already know that), which means that in order for the air/fuel to be correct, all the air that the maf counts has to make it all the way through all of the intercooler piping/hoses...
I know that when my alternator belt was loose I would have stalling issues and a week battery as well. or if the voltage regulator is going bad, you could be charging, but not enough. I would check the belt and make sure it's tight and then maybe have it load tested. Most auto parts stores can...
if your running w/o a thermostat and it's still getting hot, I hate to say it but there is probably no flow which means that the water pump you put in could be bad..... always use OEM water pumps, pretty much all others are junk. have you checked your oil for coolant or are you losing any coolant?
well just because the fuel pump turns on doesn't mean that it's putting out enough pressure to start and run your car. I think you're on the right track with the fuel pump though. Make sure that it is coming on and then do a pressure Check.
After my wedding in June, I will finally get to start building my long awaited project, my 91 talon and i have really big plans for it. I think its time to start planning everything out so i can get started asap. The car is completely stripped to chassis and the engine is stripped to bare block...
A friend of mine goes to a technical college and they were getting rid of old stuff they had laying around, one of the things happened to be a 4g63 that had been assembled and then displayed but it dont think it was ran even once It still had assembly lube in oil ports on the crankshaft. I did...
Guaranteed to Pass® Emissions Test Formula by CRC - Part 05063 - Advance Auto PartsThis stuff sells at all parts stores. Never used it myself but I have heard good things. For $10, what the hell right? That link i posted has one good user review and no bad ones.
I assume that you have inspected your turbo compressor wheel and checked for abnormal shaft play as well as making sure the wastegate seals all the way right? To me it sounds like your wastegate may be to blame.
Not to sound like a broken record, but that is sick! I love the TMIC too. I think i speak for everyone here when i say that we need more pics of your car!
