Mine sounded like a diesel too but it was because the back flange weld on my cat delete broke while going down the highway. That was a fun 5 hour drive home.
I agree with everyone else, axle backs are for cars in the car show biz or parking lot hero kind of thing. Go full cat back if you have the chance, you could even get a muffler shop to run 3" back for a small amount of funds.
Mine did that but the ground ended up being damaged. We had a crx with a semi truck air horn ran with a 5gal. air tank that everyone was daring me to put into my 1g for a quick fix.
My friend's been running one for some time now and he enjoys it,especially the money he saved from not going with a r&d thermal. I'm tempted to step up and order one when taxes come in.
I'm doing some custom turbo back 2.5" exhaust at the local exhaust shop for my 1g tsi AWD and was wanting to go with a nice "stock" looking muffler, any good suggestions or is there even such a thing?
I'm going to get a clutch kit for my 1g tsi AWD and after doing some research I came up with some arguements between an ACT 2100 and a 2600. I have found a stage 3 clutch kit w/ a chromemoly flywheel for a decent price.
