As Flash said the boost gauge reads from the ecu's guesstimate of sorts. But if you did fry your MAF by cleaning it then it might cause the factory boost gauge to do what you said.
Red and black are both connected to the solenoid. One goes to the gauges signal wire (which is the wire in the middle where it connects to the gauge) and the other goes to the power source from the gauge.Spooling you are correct I am *missing* part of the harness. However, I found that...
I have been messing with this gauge now for over a week trying to get it to run properly. I have it to where it will start up and read boost vacuum, but it gives me ERS which is Solenoid error for not being connected right or being dead. From what I can tell it is working with direct power (it...
TurboMR2 did you ever fix this? If so what was the problem? Mine just started doing this today.ECU+

I bought a replacement EGT probe a while back thinking my mine had went out. I went through the bs of getting a bung welded in for it because the old one was to small. I pulled the probe out to install it and found these connectorsThat is not the actual photo of course, on mine the...
If your going to get a new alternator make sure to ask for the one for the 2g spyder 2.4 liter motor, unlike all the turbo model 2g alternators it is 90 amp, a good upgrade from out 60 amp crap ones. I know it doesn't help this issue much, but mine was under warranty and I took it back in and...
No they do not. some people have went to solid state tensioners with these Kevlar belts. They are great belts but should not be used past the 60k mar even though they say that they can be.through all the research I have done, it seems that these belts are unnecessary unless your going to do...
Wrong, Tom works on this all the time. A new update is just around the corner. The ECU+ is a great product as is, but it gets better the more time goes on. There are plenty of people who still run it. The reason the sales quit is because the price of the electronics went up and Tom didn't...
Mine will do this cruising down the road sometimes. 55 or 65. It will have a dead cylinder I will take it out of gear, put it in 4th then shift back into 5th and its perfect again for 20 - 30 minutes.
Actually I would suggest going to the ECU+ forum there is a guy selling his ECU+ plug and play used for $400 he would probably take a little less than that. It is coming out with boost control here soon and is a great tuner and logger. It has even got the capability to eliminate the PO300 code...
I am replacing my dash gauges with all after market.First, my factory speed and tach are off. Speed by 10, and tach by 500-750 rpm. The ECU+ reads these numbers correctly, in other words the ECU+ has the correct information but my dash isn't displaying it properly (never has). Is it the...
I am having crappy idle problems too. It starts up sometimes with kind of a high idle but then dies down some and some times dies. It also dies sometimes when I have been into low throttle (pulling out of a place and stop putting my foot in the clutch. I have adjusted fuel like crazy (I have...
I am working on a similar project with my 2g. None of my factory gauges work right since my motor swap. My check engine light is always off, my boost and oil pressure gauges were disconnected, my RPM is off by 750rpm, my speedo is off by 10mph and so on. So I am planning to do a full...
Started once, gauge was reading nill oil pressure which is why we tested it the physical way. Everything is hooked up right. And yes the oil pressure was good as the car sits now, we didn't change anything between the oil pressure being good and being bad. three days ago - Car ran fine good...
Indeed, I saw that (The kink) when I was under the car. I will probable use braided all the way for that. And relocate the line to the block. So why would someone relocate the line to the oil filter connector?More importantly though is WHY do I have low oil pressure? All of this stuff...
This is not the same old oil pressure problem. I searched and could not find the answer to my particular issue.I have a 2G with 1G swapAlright so here is the problem. I bought this car setup in this manner and have some issues. First SB said that oil feed to turbo is on the block of the...
Well here is my newest issue, when we drive the car SMOKES really bad. It is white ish smoke and some of it is coming from the engine bay. The car seems to run fine for the most part (it is a little sluggish and has slight miss at idle), it is running on about 6 or 7 pounds of boost, but as soon...
In case anyone does run across this problem again it WAS the Valve locks that caused it. We used a crows foot tool and bent it back so it would hold the rocker to keep the valve springs compressed (cheap $3.00 tool). We used compressed air to hold the valve up in place, but if you don't have a...
Alright, not a lifter problem. Lifter and rocker test came out negative they are both functioning as they are supposed to. Now we have noticed something that is out of place. The valve tip is supposed to be sticking up a little above the spring and retainer right (about 1/4th of an inch)...
Thanks. Like I said, we did bleed them and clean them even though they are new, and the video above shows how depressible they are are. But We will of course do it again.
Yes, several people have commented on possible valve size. But how would that happen?? A manufacturing problem? If it is a height problem, then how would I resolve this problem?
Oh, no blame! many people have jumped to the same conclusion! haha, they see the OBVIOUS problem and skip the rest. Its no big deal, I just hope someone has an idea about what is wrong.
Oh thank God, that guy freaked me out! From all I was told you couldn't get a seal with a messed up valve so there was something else keeping it open in the regular cycle of the engine.
Thats just the thing, something isn't ALLOWING it to seal, I just don't know what. Because it gets perfect compression when the rockers are off. There is no way it would get perfect compression (at least as far as I have been told) if there was something wrong with the sealing part of the...
First, I know what your thinking, he could have found this somewhere else. NO I can't, I have talked to techs at SlowBoy, and David Buscher himself. This problem is not an obvious fix, they had no idea.Second, the posting policy on this site is STUPID. I would like the whole community to...
