i have dsmlink so i'm ok, and its only in a 2g you got a chek engine light i think... in resume... the big hose from the stock fpr i put it under my afpr, and the hose from the intake manifold go to the afpr for vacuum, and the little hose from the stock fpr i block it? is that right?? thanks!
i have the afpr thats why i want to get those solenoid out because i want to put the afpr at this place, and i still have the canister but i have a walbro 255.... so i dont really know what to do?, how to remove the solenoid? just unplug the hose, block them en remove the black solenoid...
can i remove those Solenoids, someone told me they are useless, i want to install my afpr but didn't find any place on the firewall and when search on the forum i saw a lot of people who put it where those Solenoids are, and they even dont have it anymore so...
is it a good idea to run the car, and then stop the fuel pomp with dsmlink so it will idle and stop by itself and there will be no gas in the fuel systemp so i'll be able to put my afpr and change my injector without problem, is it good???
ok, its now correct, i've made a boost leak tester and make the test, i've got a leak at the j-pipe, the gasket was not in perfect shape, so i've changed it and its now perfect and the car boost so nicely ;):sneaky:
its a rfl(real ####**n loud) just 2-3 psi is enough to get a loud pitshhhhh from it! aniway... i just want to know if its all corect, my other 14b doesnt sound like that, maybe because the seal are dead and have horrible shaft play on it , and now this new turbo is strong and its the normal sound??
its suposed to work now, and i didn't make a boost leak test because i dont have the thing to do it, i'll try to make one boost leak tester... and the blade spin freely and its suposed to get oil, how to be really sure??
i've just changed my blown 14b for a rebuilted one wich have 3k miles on it!the turbo make a strange sound i think... it sound a lot harder then before is it normal or i have a problem somewhere? sounds like a leak but i dont have....take a look :turbo004.flv - Video - Photobucket -...
some people run 12s with stock smic..and 22 psi on the 16g is good but 14 you'll find it anoying not enought boost for that turbo ;) but its depend on your other mods, do you have fuel upgrade to run 22 psi?
yes they are really junk, the stock smic is a lot better! and the starion ic is a lot of fitting to get in place correctlyand if you're not planning to vent your bov, you dont need maft
if the ebrake wire is not connected or grounded the TT will shut of its normalif not connected to ebrake you absolutely need to ground it! and for the ecu click, its strange, i really dont know what you have done wrong when connecting your TT:coy:
get dsmlink, its the best way you can go, a safc is fine but with larger injector it will be really hard to tune correctly and you dont have a lot of possibility like dsmlink!
remove the silencer , you will get a little little bit more air maybe.... and the turbo will sound better :) and dont hack it! its not a good idea, upgrade for a 2g maf.. its a way better but you need safc to reajust because you will run more rich(or lean?? i dont remember)
get a les restrictive down pipe and complete exhaust(custom one is a good choice)like said before get a logger to know what appen.follow all the free and stage 1 mods on this site, dont try to be faster than the upgrade path its not a good idea ;)happy tuning!!
