So I just got the twindisc in the dsm..
I drove it around the block and it engages almost all the way off the floor. It's slipping really bad and just revs once it starts to boost.
I adjusted the rod by the pedal assembly and it is still engaging really far off the floor. The other thing...
So it slowly got harder and harder to shift on my car. I have a 2g tranny in it and a 2600. Well one day it got to where I had to use alot of force to get it into gear. Next day, it locked me out completely. I was at a stop light, and I had to start it in gear... and it wanted to lunge forward...
For sure.. As things have been slowly getting better for me, more things will come for the car :) It's hard cause I kinda wanna keep both of them! Esp after seeing the new 16g FP came out with LOLBut yuh, I got the red sent out.. FP said it looked like something went thru the turbo, enough to...
Well it'll hopefully see the track this year.. then over the winter I'm going to finih it up the way I want it :)
It was really hard on me getting divorced.. I'll just leave it at that, so I'm just now starting back on it.How would you check the feed pres?
The oil return line looked fine when I pulled the turbo off. It did seem to leak oil from it before the turbo started to smoke.
You think maybe just replace the return line?
So the red only has around 5000 miles on it, and recently started smoking. When i was able to pull over, oil was POURING out the exhaust and dump. I added oil, got it home, and noticed when it gets in boost, it sprays oil out the BOV. I pulled it off, and sent it out to get a rebuild, but I'd...
Lol.. thanks :)I can't wait to have all my shit together and back at the drag strip!! After throwing the FPred on the silver car, it turned into an awful DD. Mainly had too high of oil pressure and blew the seal. So thinking maybe it was the oil housing or restricter that had something to do...
Wow.. been a rough couple of months :)
Got a divorce, put the dsm down for now, just got my laptop back today..Life's been nutty lolBut got some big plans for the silver car. Unfortunately, I'm ###### going to sell the black cherryBut just figured I'd stop in and say hi!!This...
Anyone had any experience with doing this?I have some tan seats I'm wanting to do black. They are in good condition without cracks. Is there still prep work before applying the dye?Just curious results/ brand recommendations/ what to stay away from? Also, since the seats in the back...
Yuh that's just my guess, since the act2600 is 2+ years old and had many track days on it. Doesn't really feel like it's slipping though. I would assume that if it's that far done, it would slip? Maybe I don't notice it compared to driving the 6puck daily.
Just curious, has anyone ever heard of a clutch getting so worn down that it starts to chatter, and after engaging, the chatter will be picked up by the knock sensor?I enabled phantom knock, but now right after launching or shifting it knocks. It gets really bad esp after doing a WOT 1st...
Good luck with finding the right car, hope to see you get the 1g!An aftermarket exhaust wouldn't do a CEL unless it has to do with a ground for the O2 sensor. So I'd be looking into something else. You can get a data logger, and check to see what code it pulls.I would def make sure he has...
Just curious if anyone had pics of the A pillars on the 1g. I was just curious since the US ones have the sliding seat belt, whereas the Canadian ones were stationary. Also, how hard are they to come by?Thanks :)
Ok, so I know a few cam gears have had issues of breaking.. or back off easily.Give me some info on them!!! I'm going to be running FP4r cams. So I really do not know much at all about cam gears... so information please!!! Help educate me!!!I'm looking into AEM, HKS, Fidanza, or...

Depends on how much you have into it. If you think it's worth it and you like the car, go for it! If you really could care less, sell it.I'm sure quite a few people here have dumped unheard amounts of money into their car to fix them up. They probably don't look back on it either.
Putting...
vin will obviously be a bit different since it is in Germany.
Also what we would call a 90-91 is labeled as like a 94 there. Due to it being shipped over, then they marketed it in that year, so it got a later label date.
Just curious, were you there visiting and took it back with you, or did...
There's no way he could run E85 though with those injectorsHe would be looking for gas that would allow him to lean out, not require dumping extra fuel :PDoesn't meth/ nitrous also permit for leaning?
A few people have been able to program the antilag but found the 2step was a better route.I love the program. I tried using link with the sliders and it honestly pissed me off. The 3rd version of link which is alot more similar to the Ostrich/tuner Pro seems really nice.
Burners are about 80-100$ for a good one. Then chips are about 5$ each. You can find the burner on the Moates link I posted previously.Link has Anti-lag, control over ISC and logging that Ostrich does not. Other then that yes it has the same features. The benefit of this over link is...
If your plans are to go turbo, the 1.8 is not a good idea. There have been a few people that turbo'd the 1.8 motor, but I do believe it didn't end well. The 2.0 requires a completely different harness, ecu, tranny, etc.You can find Turbo AWD shells usually for 3-500$
Try checking your local...
