Wow! Really..That's not safe. Of course a bag o' air in your face isn't really either. I didn't even know that 1g's didn't have air bags. Hmm... the stuff you learn..:dsm:
Did your air bags deploy. If so than its probably going to be totaled. Happened to me.http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/hangout/293194-what-happens-when-others-dont-s-t-o-p-my-wreck.html:dsm:
Well, I can't remember what timing belt is on mine, got it with the PartsDinosaur kit, but I want to say it is an S A Gear timing belt. This goes for the balance shaft belt too. I know the water pump is from ITM and tensioners are from PCI. I also have Gates accessory belts (PS, ALT, A/C). I...
I know I have to have it here in Louisiana. Depends on where you live and how hot it is. When mine went out, before I fixed it, I had cut the A/C belt and noticed some more power. It wasn't worth it though. In the rain the windows would fog up really bad and it was an accident waiting to happen...
Looks fine to me too...<a href='http://img54.imageshack.us/my.php?image=spa0574.jpg'><img src='http://img54.imageshack.us/img54/1340/spa0574.jpg' border='0' alt='Image Hosted by ImageShack.us'/></a>Not the best angle but some reference..:dsm:
OMG. I'm not trying to be mean but, dude your wasting your time and money. :heystupid: For $1500, it sounds like all your doing is buying yourslef headaches and heart aches when this leaves you with a torn apart car. I've never once said to anyone on here to just sell their N/T and buy a turbo...
Not immune, just less likely too. It's good though, to go ahead and replace those bearings. Couldn't hurt.^^^+a million to any car being able to crankwalk.:dsm:
I can't tell, but from the looks of it, using CAPS, it looks like the mud guards. It may be the fender liner. Anywho, I think these are the part numbers:
Left - MR162455
Right - MR162456Use JNZtunings OEM site and input the part numbers: JNZ Tuning Online- OEM Mitsubishi Parts:dsm...
Check my profile. I have partsdinosaur's kit, installed by Mitsu themselves, and 8,000+ miles later, still running great and I periodically always check the timing belt and the accessary belts. No overheating as well with ITM's water pump, included in the PD kit. Other's have had great results...
Yep, the zip-tied battery hold down is more ghetto'd. The strut bar is a little on the fat side and I would also worry about arching. At least the PO attempted to help with the electrical tape. Agreed with the cleaner, as well. I do, however, like that Evo IX (?) BOV. :thumb: for that.You...
It's been awhile, I know, but had a question I meant to ask months ago. It's a noob and easy one. When looking at your coolant temp., you look at Coolant Temp Scaled, correct?:dsm:
Back when I had my 97 GS, I had one of these systems. The filter and pipe was fine. If I did it all over again, I would prob. get a new filter as suggested. Pipe and filter, simple as that. Does what it should.:dsm:
You will have to realize that getting New OEM Parts for your car will be hard since a lot of them have been discontinued. Trying a junkyard is one option. You can also give JNZTuning a call.
: JNZ TuningTheir OEM catalog that you can search through:
JNZ Tuning Online- OEM Mitsubishi Parts...
It comes in a spray bottle like Windex for example. You spray it and let it sit for a few seconds and wipe/wash it off. Like with any liquids/fluids, watch around electrical.:dsm:
JNZtuning can get you these. What you want: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-exterior-interior/264937-removal-installation-2g-trim-weatherstrip.htmlSomething else to think about replacing...
I have to hand wash my car. All 3 of my Eclipse's, I had/have to. If I take it through a car wash, and this is on all 3 of them it does/did this, water would leak in from around the driver and passenger side window's, where the side-mirrors are and through the speaker trim. Wish I could bring it...
Yep. If you find the bolt your looking for. I just use CAPS to find what I'm looking for and than I take the part number and paste into JNZTuning's website and buy as many as needed and than I receive the actual OEM bolt/part. I didn't realize the hardware/autoparts stores had "better" quality...
Yep. You install it. It's just an install page that tells you how to install it. I actually installed it here at work, just in case. It's not a "bad" program or link.:dsm:
There is CAPS.Stealth 316 - WINCAPS InstallationThis is what I use. Just got done doing the same thing your doing. I've probably replaced at least 60ish broken, rusted, etc. bolts and screws in the engine bay and interior and some body components with the help of this program, JNZTuning...
Captainredeyes: Ha, wish I would of saw this sooner. That is the same route I went with everything you listed, from partsdinosaur, plus the A/C compressor and drier. It was $772.XX for everything at Mitsubishi. Plus it took a week but that was my fault since ANY and ALL autopart stores don't...
I would go with his suggestion and check this. I had this problem with my 97 GS. Because the bracket was bent ever so slightly it caused the belt to get frayed. Luckily that's all it did and never ate through them. Check to see that it is lined up and straight.:dsm:
Don't feel bad. These meets never do work out. Never. The first meet, the reason this thread was started, only one person showed up. It was me and captainredeyes. The best "meet" I guess was at the Import Face Off. Lots of people. Pretty much will just have to wait for something big like that...
Excess boost pressure...Definitely. LOLJ/K. Maybe you ran over something and sliced it. Not sure but that is nasty. :barf:I guess you could just get a new boot maybe and grease it back up. Not sure as I'm not knowledgeable in the axle field. Anything else look damaged.:dsm:^Woop...
