Hey guys, i drive a 91 talon tsi awd, I need some help on what this issue may be. My car is in neutral, idles fine, but when i step on clutch, rpm drops and car dies. Usually its a throttle body leak for me but this time its not. Any thoughts on what it may be?
Why are you planning on going with the 2nd gen GM MAF? why not just stick with the 1st gens? What turbo are you planning on running with? Is your turbo a t25, small16g or big 16g?

I'm planning on upgrading my stock brakes to Gsx big brakes on my 91 talon. I was wondering when i'm changing out my old brake system do i have to switch out my proportioning valve? If I do, is that going to be easy or hard?

Thats the thing. I know if I get other upgrades for my brake system I'm going to need bigger rims which I'm not planning on. I just want to stick with my stock rims. Thats why I'm asking which of these brake system would work better for drag racing or street racing. Those two were like the only...
So stick with the big brakes then? I was planning on going with drill slot brakes. Is there really anything different from drill slot brakes then big brakes? I guess what I'm trying to say is that which of these would be better for drag racing, street racing, etc. for braking?

I dont know whats wrong with my car. My car idles/surges when im driving and put it to neutral. But when i come to a complete stop it stops idling/surging. I do not know what the problem/issue is so please help! thanks.
I dont know what happen, but all of a sudden my car just felt like it locked on me. It felt like someone just pulled the e-brake hard as hell. I was just cruising about 45-50 mph and all of a sudden my car started skit. I dont know what the problem can be. NEED HELP!
Whoa! that is crazy. That's a nice exhaust manifold you got there. cracked in half. How long did that exhaust manifold from SBR last your friend for? Are those manifolds your friend got worst then the HAFE Performance cast s.s.?
Hopefully the new HAFE performance Cast S.S. is different and it'll last me for a while. Well, at least someone had experience with them. I guess i'll just have to wait and see. Thanks guys.

Similar problem. I'm pretty sure you probably read about all the leaks but just wanted to give a shot at it. did you check your intake manifold gaskets from tbe to tb and check your throttle cables if its loose? found out i had a leak from my gaskets from intake manifold.
every time when you put into reverse, do you shift straight to reverse or do you shift to 1st then to reverse? sometimes, if you shift straight to reverse it may grind but if you shift over to 1st then reverse, it should not grind while shifting to reverse.what do you mean 2nd gear lurch or...
If your going to run a small 16g or a big 16g, you dont need any mods to support it. i had a big 16g and was boosting 14-15 psi w/out any problems. I also have a manual boost controller but I dont think you need it though. It's really up to you.
I might say that your tranny is going bad. Is your tranny a stock tranny or is it built? If its stock, you should have it checked out cause your not getting any power flow to reverse. your reverse or reverse idler must be worn. cause like you said it grinds once in a while right? your syncros...
