I don't. Under stand. Why. Anyone would was the idea of a tubular front. End... I honestly like the Judea I just don't have the patience or understanding of how to make that work lol I'm looking forward to seeing the process good lucck
So around noon I was cruisin' around about to help a friend go buy a motor for his GSX starin' down this boosted Nissan 240 and jammin' my air drums along with some All that remains when I go to give the car gas, and it did nothing.. After pushin' the car into an abandon restraunt parking lot I...
I had a friend that gave me rides everywhere as I was piecing my motor together over the timespan of about 8 months, now mines still not doin too good, however, he asked me what was so hard about building a motor so I told him we'd have a race, to see who would build the best motor without...
The flywheel was brand new when the Zoom went in. but for the month I had it I had no real complaint other than a harsh engagement.. What had happened to the clutch was horrendous. The dowel pins holding the clutch together gave out and the springs flew all over the place which is what I assume...
Ok so I've had 2 different clutches in my car in a total of 3 weeks.. So this is gonna be my review as to which two clutches to never in your life buy. EVER!
Clutch #1: ZOOM *purchased through Advanced Auto Parts* clutch used the stage 3 setup *claims to accept over 330 lb-ft of torque and up...
It should be fine, I know when installing my 16g it was likeright there against the front mount however the only part thats gonna move is the actuator rod and the wastegate at the exhaust side. I'd recommend some slim fans if you weren't already planning on them
These are all good ideas man.. I've been in this DSM community for 3 years now and these guys haven't steered me wrong, they've helped me with two DSMs before I finally got the gyst of thigns.. And now that I do I wouldn't go anywhere else for advice than right here, I agree with the last post...
Now I can understand some paint on the VC and the block... HOWEVER when you run around the entire engine bay with rattle cans trying to make everything match you've officially riced yourself out, however, there are some with wire tucks and some decent powdercoating that look pretty nice, but...
Holy jeebus I forgot about this journal.. Time to re-update some of you...
After that trans went in the car ran GREAT until I took it to my buddies house one night before we headed to the track and then i had some seeeeeeerious vaccuum/boost leakeage... After a new FIAV and EGR Valve gasket and...
You may not need to tear into the block, you could be lucky and only have to rebuild the head for the time being, or find a used head on the classifieds, but either way, you could have that thing back on the road for less than 4k, a LOT less than 4k as long as you were willing to learn to do...
As long as you take the internals out I would say the wd40 but if you're not gonna pull the internals out, get the head off and lightly coat it with oil and maybe even spray some rustolium rust preventive paint and most deffinately clear wrap it to prevent moisture.
Joliet.. I almost miss that place, buuuuuutttttttt I'll be fine without bein there bwuahahahaha and DSM 4 lyfe, out here at Advance the brake clean is 1.99 Just went on sale out here beginning of December! Now, just using the brake cleaner what all were you able to clean? I can't really see the...
This makes spyder owners everywhere baffled.. I would LOVE to have an AWD swap, however, I don't believe I'll have the patience for that :P I'd rather by a GSX and peel the top off ahahaha. But congratulations man, freakin' sexy car
Good lookin car sir, I've always been fascinated at the talon tail lights on 2gs they look uuber secksy with the night shade and that exhaust makes me love looking at the back of your car.. Good luck on the build, my buddy turned me over to this acid thats really good for engine bay cleaning, I...
Well I'm tryin to Keep budget in mind, and was thinking about a Fidanza 2.1 set up but if I can't afford the clutch portion I was going to use a stock one I just wanted to see if the stock clutch would hold up to my short term goal of 250whp
Took it to my local transmission guy, he'll have it out tomorrow and tell me for sure what I need... Other than a new starter and probably a new flywheel :( He suggested that a spring retainer in the clutch had broke off and lodged into the fork on the flywheel, however he agreed that the...
The only sizes you need for a engine swap is a 12mm 17mm and the occasional 10 mm... Takes about 3 hours to pull if your like me and struggle to remember to remove the UICP :/ But in all seriousness, I had the exact same problem on the bypass on my way to work and it was Cyl. #4 pulled the...
I'm in the prediciment where I have to replace my clutch/PP and flywheel.. I'm wondering on a Mild 4g63t that I'm shooting for 300 WHp as a DD how much can a new stock Clutch and PP take? Would I be safe running a Fidanza aluminum Flywheel with a stock organic clutch and pressure plate? or...
The only problem is that EVERY bit of that part of the motor was replaced all at the same time.. It is an exedy chromoly flywheel and a ZOOM stage 3 clutch/ PP set up... I could understand that if everything was older, and if it were slowly failing at a more gradual rate but last night the car...
ANOTHER UPDATE! ... This one is bad...
Re-adjusted clutch pedal and CMC rod, drove around for a few hours. It was like sex when I shifted.. Pure extacy.Tragedy struck as I went into first at a red light and stalled out... I did the WTF? looked around and made sure I was in first and as I...
Maybe if the sweat came off the balls of a compound turbo owner... Not pointing any fingers :P But seriously that set up above should get me well over 300 correct?
Ok, I've adjusted the pedel, now when fully disengaged its still making the slight grinding noise... No clue.. I've never had this problem before but then again this is a new to my car trans with 30k on it.... Any other suggestions?
By the way theres at most 1k miles on clutch press. plate and TOB
Sorry I havent been posting much lately I started a new part time job... Anyway I somewhat fixed some problems on the car.. Now my little T25 is pushin' 8.5 lbs which someone told me I might have an Automatic trans. wastegate.. Or another boost leak. My 2 step problem was about 6 destroyed...
New slave cyl in today without the longer slave rod and it seems to be a little better as far as not making the noise, however its disengaging like... Maybe 2 inches off the floor whereas with the longer slave rod is was right in the middle.. How do you adjust the clutch pedal itself and see if...
I know this post is a little old but not that old so I'm hopin ya'll can help me out on this one... As of late and I mean within the past week its been killin' me... It used to act up and not go in gear I'd have to either bleed the system or shut it off to get into gear from a dead stop but...
I've heard that the ecu I have (97) can be flashed? I dunno wether that'd be safe for what I need out of my car or if it would just make a slight difference, I ordered the Fuel lab FPR from extremepsi So I should keep it at the factory 43 PSI until I go for larger injectors and a tune correct...
So the reason I'm finally deciding to go through with a tune is the fact that there is fuel all over my back bumper... Now I thought that with a Wally 255 It would just respond better than factory, however I kept factory fuel rail/injectors, and today I was just thinking about how the injectors...
Ok after doing the 2.4 to the 2.0 Swap I have encountered from what I collect is a very common issue which would be the P1105 FPS code... All the searching I have done has lead me nowhere with solving the issue, I've used about 3 or 4 solenoids that I know to be working and Still throw the code...
My car is nowhere near modified enough lol. HOWEVER if you delete the emissions codes won't that affect the performance of the vehicle? or would it enhance? and would the sections such as catalyst systems and missfire detection as well as the other systems required for the emissions inspection...
