We can rule out the bolts attaching the trans to the engine being loose, because I checked those. Updates still to come when I have finished bleeding the clutch system after the new master cylinder. Bleeding is not going well so far.

This echoes what I was thinking. For my setup, this was a massive overboost. Timing was OBVIOUSLY being pulled because it was hella slow at 22psi, but it seemed like fuel cut should have stepped in.

Exhaust leak.:DIt didnt make things better, but it did keep things from getting worse. You were killing your syncros with those bad cylinders.
