that's not turbo I made on this post. On paper the comp turbo was laggy but didnt feel laggy on my car. But motor a little different now. Have Curt brown head and new jmf drag and few other small changes.
This why I'm not concerned. Here is vid of my first 67mm comp Turbo. Here is the log break down of regular 3rd gear pull log.6.5k...4.8psi, at 6.7k...12.64psi, 8k finally hits 29psi = 693whp.2 step 6.8k. let off at 8.5k
I don't see to many dsm/evos running Forced Inductions in the communities. My plan was to switch to them over Comp Turbo in 2016. My spec 72mm compressor with 83/75 turbine in 1.25 ar T4. Still being mocked up at Whalen's Speed R&D in Michigan. Hoping it soon make some serious JAM!!
-Ceramic 3" downpie for topmount,
-straight mandrel bent 3" pipes (vbanded together)
-Vibrant TPV Universal Muffler, 4" Round Straight Cut Tip (3" inlet )
$480 picked up. (Exhaust manifold is not for sale). Buyer pays for shipping.
this is correct. any auto dsm and any dsm on a slick 62.9 limit and a awd manual dsm on a DOT tire is 64.9 limithttp://forums.thefoat.com/ImportFaceOff/sg-forums.thread/th-1352/FORCED INDUCTION SPORT presented by Deatsch Werks/
it was more then scuffing. teeth and gears were breaking prior also. my point is the strength was increased. I didn't go with it because I didn't feel the need to. But The way my car is now. I may have no choice.
I find this amusing. everyone or more know now liberty face plated dogbox trans. But...how many knew that's who did it back then? as in 2008-2009ish. I did.Gears are going to break no matter what but a lot of issues are because of the way people drive on top of the hp. But if he gets the right...
I was about get a straight cut gear 1st ,2nd, 3rd ,4th and syncro 5th and resevere trans from dog Box transmission in 2009. They were going 9.4 in 2007. But all the shops, associates, and friends who go fast as hell said it was a waste. But I knew they were just ignorant. I was going to get the...
Is it a worth it? Well that depends. A better question to figure out is if it's even necessary for your setup. Its not really hp directly that is the limiting factor of the ignition. it is airflow and stock coils and wires have been proven to be good to 750+whp
.
I had that exact ic on my 1g. In 09 I contacted kiggly because I knew he ran this same ic and went 8.99 but he was much much happier with the garret core. I know he keeps compares data and he told me pressure drop was acceptable on the cx racing core but he then stated it didn't cool very...
I personally don't see why you would go from a rotary to a dsm. All you really need access to is a good rotary tuner. Not to mention the two communities are a night and day difference.
this past winter untuned pig rich I was getting 15mpg. I have a new tuner who was very disappointed how the old map looked. so I'm curious how the new tune will end up
My best e85 mpg was on an older tune some years ago. I think my current tune may top it. But driving 122 miles to MOD doing final fine tuning on the driveabilty and doing some wot pulls. Was seeing 26-27mpg.
I stated in a post I made not to long ago It was a boostleak why car only made 693whp at 29psi....but because of the cams it pulled like a freight train and the hp and tq never fell off. So even with the leak the car was still faster then other cars making similar power. The 1/2 mile is a...
Because of the longer stroke I would think any piston would lose compression. so going with 8.5:1 piston would still be closer to 7.5:1 which is way to low. so unless they have higher compressions available not on the site go with the stoker 10:1 or even a 10.5:1. But seeing no one else offers...
M&W ignition wired to stock coils and NGK wires. It does not break up on full boost and pulls like a freight train. It evens sounds different idling. Hope to be hitting the rollers the coming week.
I can't see the logs but UrbanSmoker did you ever find an answer? With my huge King Kams I get 38psi at 6700rpm on my 1.0 a/r t4 comp turbo 6767. Do you have any idea or know how much whp you are making on spoolup to 36.6psi?
Not a gimmick. Just think they updated some of the wheels still calling them hta then decided to change name to htz. But I'm not positive all the wheels were upgraded. I don't see dmers purchasing enough turbos to upgrade all the lineup so It wouldn't be cost effective to do so. Kinda of how pte...
read it for yourself and state what it says LOL.
http://www.forcedperformance.net/PROD/NTFPSUPER94.htmlit may be an updated wheel from the older turbos. 3586 etc. but not the more current ones which came with the updated design. they just changed the name from hta to htz.
There is a difference because it's 2 different size compressor wheels .Not because it has different label. Same compressor wheel size hta to htz there is no difference in design. You can even find the info on their site. Go to super 94 and it states the 67mm compressor wheel is unchanged from...
the htz and hta compressor wheels are the same e.i. 67mm for the 3794r and super 94. The Super 94 just has a larger bearing cartridge, larger turbine wheel, and larger t4s housing
The number of blades is not a big factor compared to the design and pitch of the compressor blades. I have had this specific debate with numerous people. When I got my new 67mm compressor wheel Looking into the compressor housing the newer wheel looks pushed in really really far due to its very...
got car to dyno and ran into ignition issues. arc2 went bad just before the 1st dyno then put on new coils and ngk wires and went back. plugs gapped to 17 car starts off awesome then right after full boost got spark blowout. but the unclean number gives a strong indication of some serious power...
Had the same issues with arc 2. But I ran mines it for years. out of nowhere it just started acting up the day before dyno. went back to stock coils and yielded better results. on stock coils and wires didnt even have any issues until 38psi then got spark blowout. but I was making round 620whp...
I was checking my logs and i'm do a before and after. This vid is an older 2step pull. just want people to see this LOL. Now this log is going to sound a lil crazy and not add up ok LOL. so pay close attention. This is with the older 67mm wheel and leaking intake manifold. At 6.5k...4.8psi, at...
Just had to give my experience on my car breaking up after a hairline crack on intake manifold was fixed. I didn't realize it but It has always had a boost leak on it since i got it polished. so I fianlly get it fixed and I took a vid of the car idling and posted it on Fb. Noticed then how...
This could have been just a manufacturing defect which could happen form time to time on any part. This is what I've found. Most say run Supertech due to the inconel exhaust valve which is great against heat. Specifically Supertech uses Inconel Alloy 751. The thing that confuses me as to the...
No one I know have had issues with the phenolic spacer. These are people who have been running the same forrester manifold since the mid 90's. All have been making 500- 1000whp. A few have been making 1100whp, and one is now knocking on 1200whp. The phenolic spacer not even a new idea. It's...
I spoke to Forrester I can tell you now. He doesn't have any new manifolds. Not at the moment. I sold one of his last ones. But they will be coming so I can let you know when he does if you would like.
I've had a few customers swap to Forrester from JMF street and Magnus street. I'll just say...
It is an awesome time!!! i use to go near you. I drove to drop off and pick up my trans at TRE. Have a close friend building the baddest street scion tc in the nation and we driving to drop his trans off to Jon. He'll be in this event also. Have another boy who has the baddest turbo cobalt in...
you'll get your question answered when you see the vids and if all goes as planned hopefully you'll get a first hand experience in the GA 1/2 mile event ;).
