I tried to remedy this a while back.
After I did a lot of drivetrain work (carriers, rear subframe bushings, twin disk). I tried swapping out the rear end, carrier bearings, motor mounts, figuring something was wrong, but it didn't change.
The car has been making deceleration noises for the past...
Finally have the car together and now trying to get the wiring under way, but haven't been able to find much good information.I'm using my MT wiring harness, I don't have a TCU and I did buy a smart100 from forced four, and also fit a nicer gated shifter in.Kigglys install pic shows the...
Before you buy, make sure you confirm that your connection settings on the laptop are for a 1g
I would email Dave or Tom about the issue before buying another cable.

For a 1g, but it's a good walk through.https://www.google.com
You should probably be reading/researching more, to make wise and informed decisions.
If you base pressure is 43, and you put 40 psi on the vacuum line going into the fpr (bike pump, air line, whatever), then you will see the fpr gauge go to 83psi, providing your pump is on.
Do this with your car off, acc on. You only want the pump on. You could wire it on if you don't have...
A few months ago the car ran great, next time I drove it, it felt like the clutch was slipping (low mileage PTT). RPMs were going up, drivetrain had a bad vibration to it (only when boosting, having symptoms by 10psi), and it was making bad power. Let off the gas and it runs normal.
I took the...
Looks like a good list
Those injectors may be a touch on the small side, but you could bump your fuel pressure up if it were close, and were just looking for a number.
Good luck and let us know after you get it together
Biggest fail ever? Aren't you sitting at your computer spinelessly insulting someone else's work? Sounds pretty legit to me.This thread has had a lot of negative feedback, mostly in the style of adolescent prom queen prima donnas that feel everyone should care about what they think. He asked...
Degree the cam so it opens 0.040" when your engine is at whatever hks specifies. It doesn't matter which direction it's going, you are degreeing them to be in the right position.
Yea, degree them however you want, keeping in mind hks profiles are good at baseline. This is a pretty basic...
Yea man, as long as both surfaces are cleaned real well (sounds like you did), slap them together and go. No need to do the block again (just verify with a quick straight edge). I usually do a round of rubbing alcohol just prior to putting them together. Torque and go.
You want to restrict pressure, not flow. I measure my pressure off the OFH with a T in the line, then would change pressure with relief porting and OFH spring length.
There are no 2000cc low impedance injectors, they are all high imp
The FIC bluemax injectors are the ones you'll look at if you want to stay low imp
It doesn't matter if they are low or high, just that you have enough fuel
Fic has a calculator on their page, 1450s would be enough for you at 80%...
Recently switched my a1000 setup for a 4303
I made this switch because:
-Complete rebuilds available for not much money
-Designed to run all the time, full time, with no step down controller
-Reportedly doesn't heat up fuel
-Higher flow volume
Impression
-Ran it 50 miles on just a few gal of...
Swapped over the winter, finally getting the 366 on the road. Spool has been ~4-500rpm quicker.
10psi in 3rd, 366 is 4500rpm, HX52 5200.
30psi in 3rd, 366 is 5500rpm, HX52 around 5900Only work with the change was switching to the Vband to marmon flange
The turbine wheels are...
You may be pushing on the fingers too much
Do you have an OEM slave or an Isuzu?
+1 for putting a pedal stop in - get the car off the floor and have it stop after the clutch is engaged enough, not too much extra
I recently got bit by this problem.
It ended up being a female end in the plug that goes into the ECU. Try moving the ECU in a few different positions and see if it will let you connect.
Pull the plug out and make sure EACH female port in the plug is tight; I had one that the ECU pin would...
Those are nice - thank you for the link
providing the link is correct, the pattern is
7/16 inch round with 16 spline for anyone that is searching. Thanks for the help fellas
I gutted my doors and have some aluminum skins to put on them.
I went to autozone to pick up some nicer handles, but none of them fit - anyone know which ones are compatible with our cars? Thanks!
They aren't bad at all. The shoulder straps are a bit low (Im 5'11"). I would think these would be more and more irritating the taller you were. I only have a few hours of seat time on them, but I haven't had any comfort issues thus far.I was planning on doing gussets, then looked @ my recaro...
I couldn't find much useful info/pics for installing these, so thought Id share here.
These are Pro Street seats.
What I used: 1x1" square tubing, 3/16 x 1 1/4" flat stock, grade 8 5/16 hardware. The flat stock I brought up in the front around 1.25" and around 2" in the back.
Once the...
just picked up a set of 2000cc fiveOmotorsports injectors. I cut the resistor plug, soldered it, and went to start up. The injectors are not firing at all. Spinning the cam angle sensor, there is no audible noise appreciated. I don't have a extra resistor box tonight to use for testing, but...
1 - You made no mention of gapping them @ .020", only .025", how would I know? Also, if you're actually gapping @ .25", that's still probably your problem.
2 - DA Tables? I would open some logs from other members on Link and see what other members are using for values - this will give some...
Ive been thinking and Ive decided you dont know how to gap your spark plugs. Watch thisYou posted the near same complaint last week then decided to make another thread? I told you to close your gaps, so did Keltalon, followed by another reminder. You are seriously not going to bother? If...
So it idles fine now, just your RPMs dropped when when you used the seafoam? Because you are introducing all that extra cleaner that isnt air or fuel into the combustion chamber, you cant expect it to run the same.
I had a problem with this too - the rack is presumably worn to death where its been used the most, but as soon as you get outside of that part on the rack, that steering is good - so your pinion is good. I replaced the rack and havent had an issue since.
Dowel pins came to mind first, I had a similar problem a few years back. You didnt remove the trans - did someone else about the time you bought it? You could maybe loosen all the trans-engine bolts and try to rotate the trans clockwise/counterclockwise -> snug it up -> crank it and assess...
Did you drop the driveshaft when you filled them or not? If not, the driveshaft was sagging in the carrier and it's formed that way as well as possibly half torqued like Jack said. Climb underneath with a small level (or an iphone level app) and measure all 3 segments of the shaft; add washers...
I guess you could argue 760mmHg (sea level) - 480mmHg (car vacuum) = 280mmHg, which is still positive, but this is absolute #, not a practical gauge value. Since a boost gauge reads in gauge pressure/vacuume, Id think it would have to have a "-" before it to be technically correct, however, it...
c-clip stays in place, dont worry about it.
Get under and the car and put something between the axle cup and the trans housing. If you need further directions, you're in trouble.
Take a flat head screw driver in (you dont want to mangle the seal) then just twist the screwdriver 90 degrees and it'll loosen right up - make sure the other end is unbound and ready to go so that you arent fighting against it.** Hammering that driver in isnt necessary as I remember, just...
-16mmHg is high (rather less negative than you would expect), your car should be pulling 20+ if everything is stock and healthy. Is it running poorly or were you just checking to check?
To add: I installed the poly rear bushings from tuners nation on my 1g a year or so back and there was incredible noise on decel from the rear diff. I actually hunted 2 others diffs down to compare with and had the same results, so dont be surprised if its still bangin' on decel with new...
Rebuild - sure, Im on your side. Let it do its thing.10.5 is rich, I tune for mid 11s, I keep away from anything leaner than that. Its up to you - boost, timing, load, knock (most importantly) will determine whats safe and whats not.190s arent often reported on here for over-running the...
Thoughts:
-Try gapping them smaller yet, check your ignition timing, base FP -> post a log. Lots of people need to reduce their stock gap when running more than stock boost, because they are blowing out their spark.
-Leave them at .028 and buy a CDI
