Dude, that's awesome, glad to hear. Yeah I saw on your FB seems like you're doing well man, that's awesome to hear, honestly. ...and well, yeah. The DSM bug has been biting at me for some time, and I finally caved. Started putting some extra money aside so that hopefully by the end of the...
Well, the good news is then I am not going crazy haha. Dude I remember your car was like my inspiration. Always so clean. Good ol' days, how you been bud?
It looks amazing! Brady, your name sounds familiar, feel like we used to talk on FB back when I had my DSM or something. Maybe I'm just losing it. Either way, love the car!
Well, I know the guy with the hatch personally, not a friend, but I do know who he is and have seen that car progress over the years from all motor B series to 1000whp B series, to 1000whp K series, then finally 1100whp AWD. I don't think the car makes 1300 though, I've seen the car get tuned...
Oh those RG3's, they are just fantastic if one could get their hands on them. I loved those wheels since forever. Those Avids look really nice though, the car looks great!
I have quite some experience with ECUFlash but without a log, it's kinda hard or at least being able to see the tune itself to see if you may have missed anything, or if something is out of whack. Very easy to overlook something when you're starting out.
haha she's moving nice. Unless I missed it which in that case I apologize, but how much boost are you at now?...and in regards to the IM, I remember a while ago in my buddies GT35R 1G we switched out the stock IM for a JMF Race and OMG! It was a damn freight train up top hahaha. So much more...
I made 600awhp, and well in the 400's torque wise on a completely stock drivetrain except for clutch kit. I did have solid bushings in and all that. A lot of times worn out old bushings allowing things to move, flex, hop around during a launch is what causes things to break down there. You...
I did nothing to my DSM today because I sold mine a while back. But... but....... the withdrawals are real, and I and hunting for one :) Hopefully will be able to contribute to this thread again, soon :)
That's correct I do my own tuning. Here is the high boost video
Chickens GSX 592AWHP Dyno Stock Block: https://youtu.be/TaWqQDuRE9Q...and the low boost
Chickens GSX 558AWHP Dyno Stock Block: https://youtu.be/lcX3fuemRAE
Thanks guys! I wasn't expecting this much power. Wilderg88 was there with me at the Dyno and we were making bets about how much it'll make. He bet the highest at 540 lol. We both lost HAHA.
Well, did this back on 3/26 of this year, just never got around to posting it. My profile is up to date so if you want to look at my mods, just go there and check it out. Block is a 6 bolt with stock 1G rods and stock 2G pistons.Blue line is my high boost of 33psi, red line is my gate...
Yep, 1600's are a must in Hi Impedance. I've had great success up to 1200's in lo impedance. From there I've jumped to 1600's and trust me, you'll hate them if they are lo impedance.
Glad you got it fixed. Seemed like a bit of a nightmare and shitty luck, but you didn't give up. :)If you need some pointers on tuning SD let me know. I'm know my way around tuning pretty well. Best of luck. :)
I would say minimum 1000's. Out of personal experience, a Walbro 255, and PTE 1200's maxed out for me at 483whp. So you definitely need at least 1000's to be comfortable with that setup. This is all on E85 of course.
Looking good. ...and you can use injector battery latency perfectly fine, then add some dead time if needed but if you get them right, you'll need very minimal dead time.
I still say two sensors going out at once is very strange. I am leaning more towards wiring issue or ECU. Can't seem to comprehend two sensors failing at once, and to further prove that, you have swapped them. As suggested above, maybe grounding issue.
The way my last accident went when I got rear ended in the DSM was like that. My insurance took care of it and they billed the other insurance. Not sure if supposed to be that way or not but it worked LOL.
From looking at the log, you are not getting a MAF reading nor a Front o2 sensor reading. Check the connections, it'll be too much coincidence that both failed at once.
Hmmm, I personally haven't done that but for some reason I did see someone who experimented with it and had no luck, just didn't work good. However, I think some people have actually gotten it to work good. but honestly, you can just tweak your own map. Just do it little by little and be...
That's how things come out the best, do them right. Glad you got it sorted out (or at least it seems so). Keep us posted if any other issues buddy, happy boosting! :thumb:
I have little to no discrepancy at all between link and my gauge. Example, gauge reads 14.7, log reads 14.6 or vice versa. Compared to a wideband on the dyno and they are accurate.
Yes for now just stay away from going WOT. Engine management is key to a DSM if you are modding it dude, one of the best investments ever. Any idea what you are going to get?
Back in the day when people used to tune without widebands it was a bit popular to tune using Front o2 voltage. Now, while I don't support this, at least you have an idea if you are running leaner or richer than you should."O2 voltage is in the .85-.88 range for 1G pistons
or .92-.94 range...
