If a so-called "custom" stereo shop is telling you they can't put 8's in your doors and some 6x9's would sound better anyways, I think I would shop elswhere. And not to sound like an a$$, but IMO that 6x9 job they did in the back there looks really cheap. I could see if you did it by...
I would definetly go sealed. Ported and bandpass can be VERY tricky to tune just right, especially if you don't have much experience with the subject. Main thing: keep it AIR TIGHT. Go with 3/4" MDF board, wood screws, and liquid nails on all the joints. Goodluck.
That's exactly what I thought. Thank god this world isn't all morons. And don't bother with JJay, it's a waste of time. I think he fell out of a tree and bumped his head on the ignorant riceboy rock...;)
Ummmmm, I thought this thread was about "roof scoops".:confused:How in the world did it evolve into a "performance VS. non-performance" argument and then again into a "list your mods" kinda deal???Back on topic maybe?
They will only work with no cat. It's pretty risky doing it though. There's a number of kits available online if you do a search..I would ask whoever makes one (or sells it) a few questions first.
I don't know exactly, but I'm sure it's low. When I replaced my HU, I cut the factory amp completley out....it sounded as good if not better than with it. It's a tough situation though, being you've got 3 sets of speakers and most aftermarket HU's are only made for 2. Your best bet is to...
Get an aftermarket cd player. You can easily pick one up for $100-$200 on eBay and it will blow the stock one away. IMO, a new cd player is always the first step in builidng a system...being that is the "brain" of everything. No sense in having a nice sub, amps, or speakers if you don't have...
Be sure to clean whatever you're painting first though. You can use a wire brush and somekind of solvent.4-5 coats of paint and you're set to go. You really don't even need the clear coat. I've never heard of anyone using that on their brakes.

A stock '92 Esi would be very lucky to run a 16, I would think 17's...possibly high 16's...would be more likely. Plus Honda obviously makes a more dependable car.
People are willing to do anything to make their car more dangerous these days.:rolleyes:I know the last time I was in an accident, my cd player was ripped from the dash and the amplifier in my trunk ended up cracking me in the back of my head (yes, it was screwed down). I'd hate to see...
Oh I see now, I thought you meant your sub/amp setup was fugged. Didn't realize it was your actual speakers. If you bought the deck recently, just take it back. Otherwise check out eBay for a new one and remind your friend he owes you.;)
Well, there's a number of things it could be...so I'd just go down a checklist until something works.Check to see if your amp powers up. If it doesn't...your amp is either fried or you have a loose connection somewhere, or you have blown the fuse.So your amp powers up...
It could be...
Subs??? 6x9's aren't "subs". More like full range speakers. I'd suggest getting a nice 6.5 component system up front and a small amp....it will sound much better. Rear fill=:barf:
Basically it's making a skeleton out of MDF board, you cover that tightly with a fabric that has a large soaking capacity (ie, fleece)....paint on fiberglass resin until the fabric is soaked. Then you let it dry. After that you can cover it with fiberglass to make it stronger and then...
I currently have a single 15" audiobahn in my spyder. Ported enclosure, 600w rms. They're great subs for the money. Very loud, but not the best in the SQ department. There will always be better, just expect to pay alot more also.Try and stay away from Audiobahn's lower end stuff. 10's...
I've always used Greyhound Buslines for large body parts. You will have to take it to your local Greyhound station and the buyer will have to pick it up at theirs, but it's cheap & quick. I paid about $30 to ship a rear bumper and it was delievered in about 3 days. They can insure your...
