When using a GM 3" blow though MAF w/ MAF Translater setup, is there room to mount a filter directly on the turbo?

funny thing is, I'm selling that right now for an FD with a T78 Set-up. Thats why I NEED a daily driver. LOL. Everyone knows how reliable RX7s are.

I'll be purchasing a 1G TSI soon, and of course the first things you do to a turbo car are maintanence, intake, and exhaust. Where can I get a full "Turbo Back" Apex'i 3" exhaust for my 1G? I've searched slowboy, but no luck. Forgive me, I'm new.

okay, just got a suggestion from a mechanic. He said that it was possible that there was valve float and due to worn springs and the valves may have hit the piston (and if that did not bend them, they wouldn't close fast enough to get a high compression reading) It makes sense if you think about it.

no, actually It does not smoke at all. That is what through me off also. But I'm already pulling the head. I ran out of light tonight, but tomorrow I'll finish pulling it, and I'll check the valve seats and head gasket.

Alright thanks for the help so far. I've just done a compression check and it reads as follows 152, 149, 130, 125, on a cold engine seems like its probably the head gasket. Plus I found a large vacuum leak after the maf on the intake so the leaness might of not helped in the situation.

boost creep is the result of the wastegate being to small to flow enough exhaust "around" the turbo as flow increases. So by porting the wastegate it flows better and is no longer a restriction. I hope that makes since to you.

I don't own a DSM, but I know someone that was showing me some of the options they could do with their DsmLink for their 2G Eclipse. He was also using antilag. He tried to explain how it worked but I can't remember exactly what it did? Is it kinda like a 2-step rev limiter?
