You should have paid more attention to which one youu have, since you have a 97 you have a black top cam sensor. Changing parts doesn't work all the time if you don't know what the issue is, check resistance and report back.

Coils fire 2-3 and 1-4.Come on people this is a no brainer, check coil for resistance, the wires, then transistor, and last but not least CAS.CAM sensor tells the ecu when to fire injectors and spark, research man, you are sitting on an encyclopaedia of info on this site.

look at it this way, a 95 is 2+2=4 a 97 is 3+1=4 so no matter which component you switch they will not equal to 4 unless they are of the same years(95-95, 97-99).Rear diff ratio stays the same.

My flex section sits next to transfercase and the have clothes sex all day and then because of the halfshaft being bolted to the block it never comes in contact with the transfercase or DP, what is going on there?

95-96 have a cam and crank sensor so they have a different order, thats why we aren't calling them CAS's, the 97 to 99 had a CAS so the firing order stays the same.

did you change the injector firing order at the ecu and did you adjust the BISS screw too so you can raise your idle.

check your starter and make sure its for M/T because automatics are shorter and wont spin the flywheel. If not then you have the wrong flywheel.

You should have towed your car to the machine shop with head off, there is always a guy who fixes those problems, he would use a bearing insert instead of a helicoil, thats what I did and it holds.
