I'm posting this up for my friend (tehehodi). So his Auto 2g recently started having problems with the transmission, the car drives forward when in neutral, it roll back a couple inches and then drops out of reverse, and has some bad shifting problems in drive. We tried checking the fluid today...
Remove the end cover off the tranny, pull the vc and 5th gear assembly, and remove the cover behind them and you can take the center diff out. That's the very short and simple version.
The front diff uses a different ring gear on 97-99 cars so in order to get the front wheels and the rear wheels to spin at the same speed the internal gearing in the t-case was changed to match the the front. in order to use an early t-case you need to swap ring gears on the front diff, pinion...
Just posted minutes before you: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/394535-can-i-put-dodge-neon-2-0-my-eclipse-420a-we.html.This information has been covered many times so there is info out there if you look around it shouldn't be to hard to find answers to your questions.I don't...
All neon dohc and sohc 420a blocks are the same as the eclipse, talon, avenger, and sebring 420a except the sohc neon use different pistons. So yes the transmission will bolt up to the neon block but you will have to use your drivers side motor mount off your eclipse with the neon block and your...
I'm running the ETS race fmic with their piping and a JMF race smim, if you reverse the pipe that connects to the throttle elbow it lowers and moves the alignment back so that it may work with the JMF. ETS told me of this solution when I bought the fmic kit.
I had a rear axle slightly pop out of the rear end one time and that car acted like the clutch was slipping due to the VC sending the power to the freewheeling rear end.
Its all going to depend on where your getting the parts from, A junk yard or used is going to obviously going to be cheaper than the dealer. There are also non-oem reproduction parts out there that are going to be cheaper.
Its just a noise filter to keep electrical noise from interfering with other electronics in the car. I know a lot of people are able to get away without running one without adverse affects.
Car wont even start now and nothing has changed. Ordered up a new PT and also found out i need a new CLT sensor ### link is getting no temp readings from it. I'm honestly debating throwing in a CDI and going COP and eliminating the PT and firing the CDI directly from the ecu.
Well I socketed the 2nd EPROM I had and still the same issues. I sat down with the multimeter and buzzed out the ecu and everything with the socket and ic1 & ic2 checked out good. I ran new coils signal wires (Br-R & B-L) from the ecu to the power transistor and also cut and added a new ground...
Tested the CAS wiring
Checked the wb wiring to ECU
Gapped the plugs countless different waysWhat I've noticed are the symptoms are a lot worse when the car has been running for a short period of time and get a lot better when the car has been running for a while. Also the tach jitters/jumps...
I'm still getting really bad misfires and hesitation under 3k rpm and need help figuring out what the problem is because I've done 3 weeks of trouble shooting so far. This is what I've done so far to no avail:replaced plugs
replaced wires
swapped out coils
swapped out ign transistors
ran...
Tested the CAS wiring and I'm getting 12v between the red and black wires, 5v between the blue/white and black wires, and 5v between the blue/black and black wires. This was all tested with the key on and the connector disconnected from the CAS and probing the pins inside it. Are all there...
Just tried gapping my plugs .020 and .034 no change still the same problems with both. The wideband calculates afr off the lambda value, e85 lambda value of 1 = 9.765 and the lambda value of 1 on gasoline = 14.7. The zt-2 is setup to calculate gas afrs from lambda values so you tune for similar...
I'm running br7es' for plugs gapped at .026. I'll try tightening the gap some more and see if it changesWow well you cant really see that very well but my afr's are around 15 cruising on e85
I borrowed a different CAS to see if that was the cause of my hesitation. No change ... so I narrowed it down to be a fuel injector issue now and went down the line unplugging injectors one by one while idling and everyone i'd unplug would make the car stumble until I got to the last one and...
No codes being thrown, and the BOV isn't leaking. I tried running is SD and still had the same hesitation as running on the 2g MAF. The CAS isn't 180 out and its timed at 5 deg BTDC.
I just got the car running for the first time and wanted to do some tuning but I am running into an issue with major hesitation and what seems like misfires while cruising and slowly accelerating. What I've noticed is that when the car is under load and can get into a little bit of boost is...
There are so many threads concerning trans & t-case fluids and I can not find the answer to my question everything seems to be about oem alternatives. I bought 3 qts of diaqueen from Jacks transmissions for my trans and I'm wondering if I can use this in my transfer case also?
To me it almost sounds like a drivers issue. What operating system are you running on the laptop your trying to connect to the car? When you connect the cable to the laptop is the laptop recognizing that there is a new device connected?
You'll need 3 qts and fill it until it is level with the fill hole on the side of the transmission case. Make sure you fill it with the car sitting on level ground and not jacked up.
What jdm car is it out of because i know there is an issue with the ring gear and pinion ratios for the front diff with jdm trannys that doesnt match up with the us vehicles. The case may be that you will hafta swap out the ring gear for a 58 tooth gear, matching pinion, and speed sensor so that...
Only one 5 speed manual available for the 420a eclipse/talon and it is the NV-T350. The clutch in your car is a modular clutch. meaning the flywheel, disc, and pressure plate are sold as an assembly, unless it has been converted in the past by a previous owner.
Those rear quarter windows with the sail panel like that came on late model 2g talon's and eclipse's before production of 2g's ended. I recall seeing other threads on here about those rear quarter windows in the past.
Are you running a cdi box with your spark tech cop? If so a cdi has automatic dwell. If you aren't running a cdi with it then I'd say your best bet for answer about dwell times would be hop on www.MSefi.com • Index page and ask not too many guys on here are familiar with dwell times and...
I believe he is referring to the intake off of the turbo and the MAF is the sensor he is talking about. The only benefit to moving your intake would be to grab cold air front the bumper area, and that would be a negligible benefit, or if you are running turbo with a larger than stock inlet then...
Pretty General question with out hardly any info on what you've actually checked yourself. No one can just tell you for sure if the head gasket is bad over the internet with out you actually doing some troubleshooting yourself. Do a leakdown test. Check your coolant for oil contamination. Check...
It would most definately be in your best interest to replace the valve cover gasket as well as your spark plug gaskets on the vc. It would suck to get you clean freshly painted vc all covered in oil right away just because you didnt want to spend the little bit of money on new gaskets. I say do...
