just wanted to add that both my brother and I have ecmlink. we both live in N.Y and have no problem with n.y.s inspections. my brother had the same problem at first untill he unlocked it from ecmlink mode.
Found your post. first, running 21psi on the stock bottom should not be a problem. 21 psi on a stock head gasket and stock head bolts may be a problem! if you have a internal waste gate i would say the problem might be with the waste gate not opening properly. thats where i would start.
you...
That sounds like a logical explanation. The head was ported and had 1mm over sized exhaust valves with revised lifters, cams are 264/272 but every thing else was stock.
Any ideas what would have caused the "heads" to come off the valves?
you can download the new version of ecmlink and use that. get it from the ecmlink web site download section. i hope he gave you a user name and password for it or you wont be able to get any support on there forums.your idle could be a couple of things. are the emissions components still...
Thanks! yes traction was an issue at times on street tires but the slower spool of the turbo and the lsd helped. this was all done on stock 2g pistons which i found out afterwards. when i purchased my car it already had the 6bolt swap done with a evo 16g. i was given receipts saying that there...
for anyone else reading this post trying to figure out which connector we are talking about heres a link to one.
Gigaware® 6-ft. USB-A to Serial Cable - RadioShack.com
you will not need a safc if your using dsmlink. all tuning is done thru dsmlink. also i would not go throwing in those injectors untill you get dsmlink hooked up. it sounds like you dont have a serial port on your laptop. am i correct? if not you can go to radio shack and buy a serial x usb...
ok well i tried to load pictures but the system is telling me i need some security token. i dont understand why. i've placed many pictures on this site before so if any one knows why please let me know
ok well let me start off by saying this all happened about a month ago. i was out driving my car and yes i was driving it hard. not beating the piss out of it but i was driving it hard and like so for about 3 miles. after a sharp corner i go to get back on it and poof i hear a popping noise and...
I feel you pain man! i also am/was running an hx35 at 30psi on e85. just had the same exact thing happen to me this week on my way to work. mine only happened in the #1 cylinder. I beleave the cause of mine was a failed lifter seeing as the pivot was laying in my head. I also had a fully built...
I have pte 880's and always read that a good starting point is 330. but, for my set up i found it to be best at 510. it's something you really have to figure out for your self with your set up.
did you remove some of your captured values? i really need to have your iscposition, stft, ltft lo and mid, also you really should set up your wideband to read thru ecmlink it would help a lot!
if you can log those values above and the ones you currently have i can try to help you out. for the...
I realize this. but i was looking for one thats a bit longer. preferably one before you start to drive it. from what i can tell on the log you posted is 1 your airflowperrev seems to be right on target. but you iscposition is off and to me seems to be giving some strange readings. also you have...
If you would just take a step back and realize i'm not trying to fight with you i was actually trying to explain to you that i can personally vouch for his knowledge. like i said if he has some "problem" with you for what ever reason. it's between the two of you. not me. i may have come off rude...
if the fluid is empty you obviously have a leak some where. i would start by checking for fluid by you clutch pedal lever where it goes thru the fire wall. if you find nothing there start checking over the clutch lines and fittings. check for spots of dirt build up on the lines. usually when a...
Look man you obviously know empie1 and i are friends and im not trying to start problems here but for starters we live in Albany N.Y. "which is the capital of N.Y" ... not exactly in the middle of no where! :thumb:beleave it or not he actually knows his shit. and knows what he's talking...
I agree, do you guys know what it is doing to your cars when you drive in snow? ya it's fun to go out and do awd doughnuts in a light coating of snow but anything more than a coating and you basically plowing the roads for the city. also once the city starts laying salt and that salt gets into...
I was hoping you guys could take a look at these logs for me. i don't really have any problems to speak of other than i think i may be over running my stock mas. I don't fully understand maf functions and what i'm looking for because i've always used my stock mas and never really had the need to...
i wasn't trying to make fun of you or be rude. "ok, well maybe i was" but i was actually trying to help you by giving you a link that explains to rec. you bov! and it will cost you next to nothing. :thumb:
look i'm not trying to start problems here but no one is going to agree with you because yesterday you were stressing the fact that you were talking about mostly stock cars.. from a stock stand point your dead wrong! a gsx will kill a gst in the 1/4. it's just a fact.! i agree with others here...
you seem to be stuck on the "power loss". first off, yes. you do lose some power but were not talking anything that is going to make a huge difference. besides, did you know that with 2g awd gearing they have a taller fifth gear anyways. so basically they need less power to go the same speed...
ROFL i really wish you would explain to me how you came to this conclusion. the last time i went to the track i ran high 13's at 124mph. but on the highway on the the way home guys that were running low 12's couldn't even touch me. so i mean if you know something i don't please share the...
i'm also fwd and when I moved up from the e3 16g to the holset it actually helped a little with traction issues. the evo spooled up just to damn quick. "at least for me". with the slower spool of the hx35 it actually helped a bit with traction. don't get me wrong though. if i.m on the highway...
I think you must have misread my post. or maybe the way i wrote it was misleading. i was refering to the fact that the aem uego does not read below 10. so if he was reading 10 chances are that he is actually richer than that.
other than that we agree on the rest.

sorry i did read that but for some reason was thinking injectors. either way though your over running you fuel pressure regulator with that fuel pump. you really should consider putting the old one back in until you can get a adjustable fuel pressure regulator and gauge.
when your a/f is at 10 it is way to rich. "i believe that's where your a/f gauge maxes out. so it's most likely even richer than that" when you floor it people generally aim for 11.1 and when your idling or just driving around normally you want it to read 14.7you really need to get some sort...
c.e.l stands for "check engine light"as far as your fuel goes i don't know much about the n/t's but maybe your stock fpr "fuel pressure regulator" is shot.
Are you saying only one bulb is lit? if so i must have read it wrong i thought you were saying the left front and rear. if it is only one bulb i would check the wiring there has to be a short somewhere
does the starter make a clunk nose when engaged? or any noises at all? I know you said you have checked the wires but you may want to double check your ground. it really is starting to sound like a ground cable issue. you can always try hooking a set of jumper cables to you ground post of you...
dumb questions are ones that are never asked. if your talking about leaving the oil plug out and filter off. i would just go get it all back together and put the oil in it. there is a chance you could have moisture get in there over night. as far as your plugs you can leave them out but make...
did you check you battery connections? are they clean and tight? When you try starting your car turn on your head lights and try to turn it over if they dim when your trying to start it than the battery is your problem. if that is the case make sure you have your alternator checked to make sure...
sounds to me like you have a stuck relay causing it to stay on. i would check that before ripping anything apart. if it's staying on with the key in the off position look into the flasher relay. the flashers obviously have power with out the ignition in the on position. so i would start there.
ok so if your replacing it every other day i'm sure theres a leak somewhere. i would check way up buy the pedal shaft (it's known to leak there). or there has to be a small leak at a fitting or hose. check over your lines and look for dirt build up in a specific area. the fluid will catch all...
