Finally made it to the dyne, I've had the 30r on for over a year running low boost
6-bolt
HKS 272
JMF Street SMIM
FP Manifold
Punishment recirc o2
Garrett GT3076R
Walbro 255
Many other mods
Put down 375/322m on a dynocom, couldn't push over 25psi without the knock sensor going crazy
I haven't been able to find anyone who has run this coil over on a 2g, does anyone have experience with this product? The ISC suspension basic or N1 setuphttp://www.maximalperformance.com/isc-coilovers-2g-dsmI spoke with a rep at the company today and she was saying they do offer this but it...
I'm about 20k deep into my build, its sexy for sure but if I was asked to do it again I would laugh. The v6 and 4cyl mounts are completely different, you'd need the engine wiring harness from the 420a, ecu, trans, axles.Nothing from the 3/S platform for engine is going to work or bolt on to...
so you want a 420a avenger? scrap yours and buy one they got for $1500 on a good day. You could do a long block 3.0 swap and be content or if you want a fast avenger then I'll sell you mine
After searching through a few sites and matching the part numbers I came up with the following vehicles that have the same booster as the 00-05 eclipse99-04 Mitsubishi Galant01-05 Chrysler Sebring01-05 Dodge StratusI can't physically verify that I have seen them in these cars, maybe...
Daren I have no ideas on numbers yet, Im waiting on a bigger intercooler core and it needs to be retuned. I'm not in Buffalo anymore and all the work I do now is out in a parking lot.MJBean420: it was a fair amount of work with the engine being on the opposite side like said above. Then doing...
Just a few shots of the 30r, Unlike you actual DSM owners I have a lot more room between the turbo and the fan to work with something like an extra 1.5-2" of space. So far I feel like I lost just a bit of drivability for a daily compared to the quick spool of the 16g but the top end is a lot...
I have v3 but I used V2.5 and a palm pilot logger to make mine ready for inspection when I lived in new york. Don't really have to much info about it other than that.
It wasn't bad, I really haven't noticed a horrible low end loss, and I see 17-19psi by about 35-3600 anyway. Still trying to button up a few things. It hurts feelings and shocks people at the track. Someday I'll stop dumping money into that stupid thing
I've been told its a sleeper, but I think the loud exhaust, evo wheels and intercooler give it away…..Just switched to a 30r from an E3 16GI enjoy it for a daily driver
Yeah, my camera guy was telling me a lot of people were talking smack, then once it launched they shut their mouths. I had the eve for most of the track but he really came up fast at the end!
Did a final street night/ TNT, only made 3 passes don't much care to beat on like this but it was fun for a night. Set out to be in the 12's for the night and I made on the first pass. I know there is more left in the car and a lot more room for improvement with the driver :rocks: This is also...
Just so I am clear on your intent with all of this, getting the knuckles so you don't have to grind any of the brembo calipers which you stated you did not want to do...cost to much, but a new set of wheels and tires is within the budget for this mod? If thats all good then why not also look...
http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/galant-knuckles-for-brembos.484320/#post-153464500I'm not entirely sure it gets any easier than this, for $350 shipped and all you have to do is paypal fees, All of your bracket problems go away. The member selling them even posted in here.I didn't see...
There was a member on here not to long ago selling the knuckles for I think $350 shipped, not sure what your budget is or if thats pricey. I payed a lot more than that a few years back and it made the install so much easier. I had the brackets to bolt them on to the dsm knuckle but opted out...
Thanks Dayo, I also had camera problems the first run. If I don't turn it on before staging I just forget about it completely. That vette didn't really know what happened. You were gone before he could! The AWD launches from these two cars is the "wow" factor for anyone watching or not...
It ended up being something crappy like an 8.3-8.4, but pretty consistent 85mph hour passes, he was about the same as well, hundreds maybe thousands of a second difference. I think this run we both even got out of the hole a little slower
Back in August another member Colt4g63 also and myself found each other at the weekly grudge drags and decided to do some runs. Don't get to excited its only an 1/8th mile track, Hopefully he will put up the videos he took as well.My vehicle 1998 Dodge Avenger awd, 6 bolt, E3 16g and...
Keep that thing out of the NY salty winters! Nice looking spyder though and good luck with your build. Had to look up "Walden" to see where the heck that was
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/drivetrain-tech/247093-awd-conversion-swap-guys-enter-here-advanced-merged-2-07-a-19.htmlThis thread should help you with any more of the awd conversion questions you might have along the process as well.
Has anyone had an issue with the connector on a 2g leaking after they re installed it? I just took my car for a shake down run and when I put it on the lift I had a good amount of fuel that was collecting on the bottom of the tank.
I can't give you a for sure answer, but I know when I was swapping the wiper and headlight controls from my avenger to eclipse, the way the wiper mounted into the bracket was slightly different. It slid into the bracket fine the problem was the holes for the screws were not lining up. It...
I just ordered a heater core from rock auto, everything was the same between the non turbo and the turbo, it was also same for my avenger/sebring platform. I always cross reference the 4 cars just to see if somehow I can save a buck haha
What is hard about this swap?strip one car, strip the donor car. Swap the subframe in the front, figure out something to do with your cross member because it will come up short on an avenger. Fab 3 out of the 4 mounts, maybe work the frame rail a little bit so your pulleys clear.Rip out...
ehhh....it's not so bad. I've just had bad luck with parts failing one after another. I put 50 miles on it before the 7 bolt crank walked and now I have a build 6 bolt in the works. It just becomes difficult to finish when your 900 miles away and the only time to work on it is during leave. But...
I agree with brobo, same symptoms happened to me. It would stall when I went to shift into neutral and it would stall completely out everytime. Same thing at idle, drop down below 500 rpms and then just die out. Turns out I had record play in the crank, wouldn't hurt to check and best case is...
There is a guy in Tonawanda and he is on here I think his name is Colt 4G63, I know he works on a lot of 1g's but not sure about welding. I haven't lived in Tonawanda in 2 years so I dont really know who does what anymore but its worth a shot
Good luck man, I know a lot of the northtowns area people who still troll the boards but are inactive in the scene. A couple years ago yeah but these days not to many left.
