hmm i can see that, i had to grind my 97 mount down to fit, and my 7bolt timing cover hangs up on the water neck assembly where the pulleys go on the water pump, and the 97 style tensioner arm bottom out on one of the water pump bolts i had to grind down the back of the arm to clear. Thats why...

are you sure that a 6bolt pump can even bolt to a 7bolt engine? How can you tell this is not the correct pump? the mount is a 7bolt and the arm is a 7bolt

well, i wouldnt see why it would be directional though its the same as a normal belt. just stronger. because if this is the case the belt is on the wrong way the arrows are pointing in the wrong direction of the way the cams spin. i want to be 100% positive that the belt can go on either way...

problem solved, their wasnt enough tranny fluid. Next issue.. after the car is driven for awhile and the car heats up i notice that when im coming to a stop the transmission drops down into first really hard, i feel a hard jolt before i stop. But if i have overdrive off the car doesnt do it...

its not just reverse though, it does the same thing in drive to. like if it engages i begin to drive then the car just starts to rev and goes no where.

ok well i found that i had one of the tranny plugs hooked up wrong, it was hooked to the o2 sensor. I fixed that but the car still a no go. I get reverse sometimes as well as drive. i can feel it engage then will go right back out again.
