Well I went out, made a few more adjustments and here are my new results. Overall I think its pretty close.Pull a little fuel at 4k rpm, add a little fuel at 5.4-5.5k rpm, pull a little more fuel at around 6.2k rpm. What you guys think?.. Man can't wait to get that wideband in.
Gonna start looking for an IAC as my idle is kinda crappy. Now I just want to know what IAC's will fit on the 2g turbo eclipse.I read all 1g tubo/non-turbo and 2g turbo. Will an IAC from a 420a neon fit?
Alright, I wasn't going to go too low on the afc, it was pretty high to start with -10% across the board. From my understanding the base for 550cc is -15/-18%?.I actually haven't looked at the MAF. I was reading through some threads and thought that maybe that was the reason. I guess I'll go...
That ebay item is expired.. Is this the proper cable?Vag-Com USB Interface KKL 409.1 OBD2 OBD AUDI VW SEAT:eBay Motors (item 170345143900 end time Jul-15-09 20:47:07 PDT)Thanks,

Hey man I though I read somewhere that you picked up an evo8 ecu? Did you end up installing it? If so how did the swap go? Does it run okay?I have a 95 aswell and I am unsure about going to the evo8 ecu with the inverted cas. Is it that big of a problem? Thanks,
Chris.
Can anyone confirm (before I spend money on a cable and the evoscan software) that the program does infact work with 95 Eclipse? If it does infact work, what kind of samples/sec are people getting? I have a pocketlogger ATM but this program looks like it has a lot more to offer in terms of...
I do have an 95 eeprom ecu.. maybe I should just get a chip already, lol. Does anyone know if the .bin file that Ceddy posted in the 2g ecu eprom tuning guide will work on a 95 gst? I know his was for a gsx.. not sure if they are interchangeable. Thanks,
Chris.
I did a boost leak test and it is solid. Not a single leak. Vacuum is good too.All my settings on the lo-settings are positive, and nearly all my settings on the hi-settings are negative. The car runs perfect this way..I dont understand why all the examples given on the RRE site have...
Well I'm not sure either but the only way I can get my fuel trims to zero out is by going positive in the lo-settings. If I go more negative then the trims get even further apart..
The 550's were in the car when I purchased it. I just meant as far as doing mods since I purchased the car. But ya, I guess my settings aren't odd at all really. I was just looking at a few sample settings on the RRE site and one of them is as high as +39 for the 1k rpm lo setting. So I'll just...
One more thing that I am a little confused about. When you say -10% across the board do you mean for the hi or lo settings?I purchased it 3 years ago and the safc was already set-up. I haven't done anything to the car execept for a full 3" turbo back exhaust. The settings that were plugged...
Haha that last post was pretty dumb I already know how to reset the ECU.. stupid quesiton. lol.Anyways, I was thinking about getting a Burn2 chip burner or just ordering a chip from Keydiver, since I have a 95 eeprom ecu. Either way, is it a good idea to get a wideband whether I decide to...
Well I went for a cruise today, just found a nice open stretch of road and set the cruise. I started with the 2k and 3k rpm points. My ltft started around 12% at both points and the stft was around 6%. I adjusted the safc until my stft for both the 2k and 3k rpm points was around -12% to -10%...
Okay I got an SAFC-1 and a pocketlogger and I am trying to go ahead and get my fuel trims zero'd out. The only problems is I am not sure if I am going about it properly. I will give you guys idea of how I am doing it and you can corrent me if I am wrong.I have read a lot of threads and I am...
Is it worth it to get EVOSCAN if you already have a pocketlogger.. this is for a 95 eclipse with eeprom ecu. It says it logs at MUCH slower rates? Does this mean slower than the pocketlogger software would log at?
When you said you got your BEP housing from "them" did you mean from SBR or direct from BEP?As far as wastegating I have read alot of threads about using the manifold and using the o2 housing. Lots of guys are running from the o2 housing with very good results.Initially I was just going...
Ahh thats a vband.. Hmm I wonder what would be better. Weld on a vband flange to my downpipe or weld on a regular flange to the o2 housing. Also this guy has a or best offer option on ebay.. How low have people successfully gotten these for?
Anyone have or try out these recirculated o2 housings on ebay? How does the tial 38mm wastegate fit? How is fitment in general?95-99 Eclipse 2G DSM 38MM WG O2 Housing Dump Pipe 4G63:eBay Motors (item 260428028639 end time Jun-20-09 00:05:05 PDT)Thanks,
Chris.
Bullseye has a listing of turbine housings.Assuming I had an HX35 and running external gate this is the item I will need..TMH1 Mitsu Inlet, Holset CHRA HX-35 ExternalThanks,
Chris.
Alright, and where is everyone getting the BEP housings from? I read a few horror stories about Turbo Trader and some other place.. Where ya'll getting housings from?Cheers,
Chris.
So how is the quality of all these BEP housings DSM flanged? There was a post a couple pages back where a guy had a very poorly crafted item..Is everyoe getting poor quality like this? Thanks,
Chris.
Ya'll i'll put it out and test it, but it seems like it must be the sensor.Thing that sucks the most is that there are no eclipses around my area. I live in Canada and imported the vehicle. And there are very few talons to be had as well. Maybe ebay would be my best bet. Thanks for the...
All my vacuum lines are good. Boost leak test is air tight. 750 in.Hg. at 750rpm.. I did infact mark the sensor in several spots and lined it up exactly as it was.My EGR is blocked off but has been so for awhile now and Ive never had problems with that.I haven't tested the IAC yet, but I...
I just pulled the whole gear shift cable assmebly and sure enough one of the cables is totally seized now.One of the cables is good however.. Do I have to purchase both cables as a single unit?Anyone know of a good/cheap place to purchase one? Thanks,
Chris.
I am having a very hard time shifting through all gears. The shift cables seems like its binding or worn or something..I disconnected the shift cable at the transmission and went through the gears manually and everything was buttery smooth. After hooking the cable back up and trying it is...
I just successfully removed my balance shafts and replaced all the gaskets and seals on the timing belt side of the engine.I just took it for my first drive since and I have noticed two things.1. I seem to be getting serious boost creep now. My MBC is set to 15psi.. and and I'm going up...
I was just wondering what the proper method of installing oil seals are. Mainly the use of RTV with the seal.Where exactly does one place the sealant on the oil seal? I was thinking just on the outside surface of the seal that comes in contact with the block? Could someone please clarify how...
I finally got that damn thing to come loose.. Thanks for the input guys..Just another quick question.. Does the motor mount and the water pump both have to come off to remove the front case cover?
I have the oil pan off and I was thinking about putting something between the crank and the block to keep it from moving. I am just nervous is trying to break this nut loose with a 3' breaker bar going apply to much force to the wedge and damage the block.. Should this be something I need not...
I have an impact gun. The problem is I need to keep the crank from moving when I start to rip the bolt off with the gun. I need to keep this damn sprocket from moving.
I am wits end with the god damn crank sprocket.. Does anyone have any idea how to get this off??First I would like to state that my timing belt is OFF! And I am referring to the crank SPROCKET.. NOT the PULLEY!I have to try and get this thing off without turning the engine over and I am...
Hey I was just wondering what the wires are connection to the oil filter bracket/housing/cooler.. Whatever you want to call it.. I am not sure how the hell to disconnect them from the housing itself.. Becoming a real pain in the ass. Thanks,
Chris.
