Hello,I have a few various items for sale. Let me know if you have any questions.1. 2g 7 pieces motor mounts powder coated black with polyurethane mounts. They look great, but one of the roll stops got a little scuffed when it had to be pressed in. I'd like $150 shipped net of fees.2...
I actually thought about going with a larger throttle body, and it is a little strange since everything else is upgraded. I just didn't feel like it would hold me back from my goals. Although I suppose the header and SMIM and aluminum rods are a little overkill as well.
Ya, it's pretty much vader everything. Since I want to try out road racing sometime, I am hoping this will keep the temperature down a little under the hood.
It has been forever, but I'm just slowly tinkering and getting things together. I wanted to share updates because the engine is close to being done, and I'm very impressed.
Crank the pressure up and I'll be good mounting the pump anywhere? I was asking if the pump should be mounted below the outlet fittings on the tank. So just crank up the pressure? I don't understand.
Ok, but does anyone have any information on my original question? I'm not concerned about beating the flow capabilities of a re wired 044. I'm not going to be doing any drag racing. I also do not have a stock gas tank.I guess I could try to find an awd gas tank at the junk yard and a fuel pump...
Well I guess it's a tank but sort of has a "sump" and I was hoping that pulling from there would help when things were sloshing around. I wasn't sure if this or a surge tank would be best.I've always had the mindset that 475hp would be more than enough, but if I ever get really skilled at...
Hey guys, I just didn't want to start a new thread. I'm thinking of running a single external 044 with -6 an in and out of the pump. I just wanted to ask about mounting the pump, should it be mounted lower than the outlet -6an fittings on the fuel cell? Or is this a pump that can be mounted a...
That looks much better. If you have to get new bumpers and side skirts, let me know if you have to paint them. I'm close by and am willing to help fellow dsmers for free.
I have a set of wheels that are 18x8.5 +45mm offset.I would like to use 235/40/18 tires. After looking at the chart by Wret, I see that I should have alright clearance, but it may be getting a little close to the knuckle. He also said at the top that +40mm seems to be about the sweet...
I see. That makes quite a bit more sense.I completely understand your situation now.Every paint supplier, whether it be DuPont, PPG, or other will have their value lines. Nason for DuPont, Omni for PPG. If you are doing an overall paint job, I see no reason why to not use them. Their...
You threw out quite a few terms there like metallic and pearl. You were also talking about base somewhere, then I heard rattle can the engine bay. This sounds kind of strange to me, because you are talking about high quality job mixed with crap? Then I saw your link to the eastwood paint...
I was able to get the paint on it last night. I think it turned out really well. I really like the color as it was intended instead of my faded dirty old paint. The pictures were taken only a couple hours after the clear coat was applied so it still looks a little wet. Anyways, this will...
I will definitely keep it in mind.White is in the plans, but I am still unsure what to do because I have all the parts to do a 2gb eclipse conversion. I may just convert it to a 2gb eclipse and make it all white. It's more of a down the road decision though. For right now, the engine bay just...
I am trying to clean up my Talon and get it all back together. It has been apart for quite some time now and I'm really going to try and make progress. The progress will be pretty slow because I have to work on it between work and school.I have always wanted to try road racing, and hopefully...
Do the demands for intercooler performance change at all for someone with road race goals? I have seen many companies talk about how much horsepower and 1/4 mile times people have achieved with their cores but do the requirements change if someone were to drive the car hard for an extended...
How early do you guys usually meet? I always work 1-9 on Sundays so I can come by in the morning for a bit. Also I still need to get my motor mounts and some other misc bushings pressed out at Shane's shop.
Ya, I want to press out the motor mounts and suspension bushings for polyurethane mounts and the energy suspension master kit.If I can come by the shop and use it sometime that would be awesome. Just let me know when you are available.
Hi,I was just wondering if this is a reliable place to purchase a set of JDM Galant Front knuckles to mount the Evo brake calipers onto. If anyone has ordered from here before and has had success I'd like to hear about it...
It may need a plate welded in, but I'm not sure. I cut off the branch that goes back to the heater core and the FIAV because I no longer have either and need that hole sealed. If I can't find someone local I'd be willing to ship it up to you.
I was just wondering if you guys know of anyone that could weld shut a hole in my water pipe. It's the one that connects the water pump - lower radiator hose. If you do let me know and that would be awesome. Thanks,Jason
Sounds good. I picked up some 18x8.5 +45 (I'll probably use a 5mm spacer and extended studs) and I really want to run a 235/40/18 tire. I haven't tried to make them fit on the existing setup yet though. It will be lowered 1.5 inches in the rear and 1.9 in the front.
It probably will not work with the engine on because it will be sucking in the water not blowing out. The idea is to pressurize the system without the engine running so that if there is a leak somewhere you will hear air escaping and possibly see exactly where it is if it is blowing the water...
Sometimes problems with the ISC can cause idle surge and other issues with idle. Check out the link below and it shows some videos on how to test the ISC. It's a good place to start along with a boost leak test. The video shows the location and how to test an ISC pretty well...
You're not alone. When I was following your interior build blog until it was discontinued, I was under the impression that you may not re install the center console overlay and leave the base exposed. In that case I think it will be even cooler because you'll actually see it regularly. :rocks:
I was a little bored today, and thought it would be cool to powder coat the base of the shifter. I know others have done this, but I haven't seen too many. Although this part may never be seen, I still thought it was a nice touch. Before it was all stained and crappy looking. This photo was...
This is something that my cousin made for me when we were doing my balance shaft removal. The top of it slid inside the bearing and the outer rim that hadn't been machined catches the rim of the bearing. We just welded a metal piece onto the end and pounded them out.
This is good advice and not enough people follow it. I have friends who break tons of bolts loose with torque wrenches. Not only does it throw off the tools accuracy, no one warranties torque wrenches so it would be in your best interest to follow this advice.
