Just tell them what happened at the DMV. There are steps to go through and you can get a new vin plate. Not that hard.If anything, buy another dash and title from someone, swap it, register that, then pull all the other vin numbers off your car.....

The install kit should come with everything you need.Make sure to double check that though. If anything, crush washers can be found at some auto stores, and gaskets can be made...It would suck a lil more, but it should get you home.And like mentioned, no need for a MBC. Just go straight...

Im in the middle of doin mine...But Im getting all the wires stripped where I need them. Then just taping the connecting wires on. Gonna test it, make sure everything works ok. Then when it does, Im gonna go back and solder them together. Then tape as mentioned.Can solder right away...

Ill add this for an easier time to who-ever wants to try this.Dont make the flange by hand...You can order them, or, if your cheap like me, have them water-jetted. Cost about 30 bucks on average. All you need is a computer drawing of it...Though, some people dont have access to it...

Your BOV may be loose on the flange??Ive had it happen many times. Put it back on but its not tight enough or it had a bad gasket. Sounds real high pitched, like an air horn... Or it could be any loose pipe, with similar effects. Id check all that crap first.
