I love my ross pistons and my crower rods. It all depends on what power you are wanting. I went with ross/crower because if I want to go bigger I feel that I'm ok as far as my block goes.
The answer to the cam question,yes the 272's would be great to upgrade.I feel you should always go with 272/272 with any turbo upgrade or block work ect. When upgradeing to a gt30r,thats a big turbo that needs your top end to spool it.I stand by hks 272's till the end.IMO.

Ii would go 6bolt everything.head,block.The 2g head is so small on the ports.The 1g is huge.(unless you port the 2g head which can be ported bigger than a 1g)I say stay as far away from the 7bolt as you can.IMO.I hate the 7bolt and will never own a 7bolt.Good luck on the the way you go.

u prob have them out by now but when i worked in a transmission shop we use to take a ball joint spliter(a metal 2 prong fork ------C)and put the axle between the forks and hit the shit out of it with a hammer.1 hit it pops the damn thing right out.2 secs worth of work.
