I see a lot of the local honda's with a steel piece down the center of the windshield when they run lexan. Do you know if this is necessary when switching to lexan? As far as I can tell it just needs to be 1/8 inch.
I don't want to spread bad info here, but it sounds to me that if you re used a 7 bolt head that you should be able to run all the stock 2g stuff and be ok. I would try that. That 1g Cas still should run the the car if its wired correctly so I would just double check on the RRE site.Have...
We definitely started on the wrong foot. I wasn't trying to stir the pot...just giving my opinion....just like everyone else here including yourself. Stop acting like gave insight or contributed.....your posts are just as off topic as mine. I felt like defending what I like at least a little...
I think its funny...mostly because it bothers you guys. It worked...it worked great.....it is old news, but so is ds-map right? You and bastarddsm are never going to use ds-map anyways.....why are you here? You guys seem like ignorant ones to me....
dynamic control of timing = sliders? When I said your last paragraph....I meant the last one I quoted. I could care less about a few hackjobs cars. There where def. people that made decent power and where over 40lb/min.When I first signed up....they where on the old code of ds-map.....it...
There is still a lot of hate on ds-map. The reason there was an issue from the beginning is because most of this site promotes link. <---like it or not. When someone asked a question and someone said "oh go check out ds-map its cheaper and better then link"....you had 100 pissed off people...
Recently I have seen two cars 1 being a dsm have a similar problem. The DSM had a shitty cap. The rubber was cracked and was allowing coolant to leak past the cap. Car being to overheat a little, but lost some coolant. When we refilled the coolant it looked just like that. Bubbles seemed like a...
You also need to check resistance across the two heater circuits. A bad heater won't allow the sensor to heat up to operating temp and may give you a skewed reading. Also check for power at the sensor + feed.If you use MAP gas its to induce a high reading. .1 = lean - or not much much fuel...
This threads awesome. Good luck tomorrow, and I know someone mentioned this before. But you should check out this site after you test pneumo's voodoo magic chip. DSMAP | bringing NATIVE Speed Density to 1st Gen DSM's since 2005
Do not quote me, but I believe with ds-map you can run any MAP sensor that has a 0-5 volt reference. The higher the bar the more granularity you will lose in your tune. I ran a 3 bar last season and the car ran smoother and was more responsive then it was stock.
Carrier bearings are the rubber boots around the driveshaft that bolt to the body of the car. There are 2 of them. Its normal for them to move a little, just not excessively. Usually when there bad you will hear a thump under cruise to hard acceleration. The noise you are describing sounds like...
I paid 2600 for my 93. had 90k and was completely stock. Seems like prices for these things went up a bit. I would say 2500-3000 is a reasonable price for it.
I have a 93 gsx and i blew the center diff (surprise!). My question is if i get a used shep 4 spider diff out of a 1992 will it work in my 1993. I read the info on jacks regarding gear set identification. From what i understand my 1993 SHOULD...have the center diff with the slash on the gear...
Your fuel pressure should not be 10 psi. Either your gauge is wrong, your fuel filter is plugged solid, you have a leak, or your fuel pump is on the way out. Your fuel pressure should be about 42-43 psi
My advice would be to first....read....read.....read. Learn the car before you spend money on something that might not help you(venting the BOV without a proper ems).
I personally ran into a similar problem. I installed a new alternator belt, and did not adjust tension on the belt correctly. The belt made a ton of noise, and eventually began to slip so bad my alternator was not charging my battery. The radio and other accessories killed the battery so much...
If you are testing voltage at the battery terminals, and its 11.2-.8 while running your alternator is not charging your battery. It could also be that your battery is junk, or there is a open/high resistance in a wire that controls alternator output. ex. the big red wire that attaches from...
Question. My rpm between my tachometer and logger are different. by ALOT. On the tach at about 5000rpm i am at 6800 on the logger. Which one should i follow to launch at.
There are O-rings around each plug hole. The ring goes in between the valve cover and the cylinder head. Changing these o-rings and the valve cover gasket will most likely take care of your problem.
I have a dyno at school and i was wondering if i could pull the t-case out to dyno it. I know it won't be accurate, but i figure it would be fun to see what it has. Are there any negative effects of doing this?? thanks, Vinny
Hey i was just wondering what cat-back to get for my car. Its a 1gb gsx. I am looking at apexi and thermal cat backs. I also like the RnR catback but i can not seem to find one and i think they went out of business. Feel free to give me your opinion on catbacks. If anyone has pictures of what...
Yea I agree, when i did my water pump I noticed it had been done before, and they used rtv or some sealant around where the pump meets the water pipe that runs behind the turbo. I could see how it would leak there and I think when you do your water pump you will find thats where it's leaking from.
when i replaced my water pump I also replaced the timing belt. I am not 100% sure, but i would say you should take all that junk out of the way. Once you get to the pump it really isn't all that difficult to change. Just as a tip, make sure you unbolt the power steering pump from its bracket...
i got a 1g and i am putting 17 inch wheels from the gsx/3G. The wheels are 7.5 inches wide. I want to keep the speedometer correct. I do not want the widest tires i can put on, but ones that are a little wider than stock without worrying if they will rub or not. I wouldn't mind putting...
I just finished the clutch about 4 days ago....maybe ill try to bleed it. I bled it when i changed my clutch master and slave which was a couple months before i did the clutch. During the clutch job i didn't disconnect any lines, but i guess its possible and definetly easier to do then take the...
Sounds like you have a short to ground. The only way i know how to fix it is to find a wiring diagram of the oil pressure sending unit. Once you have a print out you work your way up the schematic. Since you pulled the connector directly off the oil pressure sending unit you know the short is...
I started a thread yesterday, but no one responded to it..... Anyways my problem is when i begin to let the clutch out almost as soon as it begins to engage a get a wicked vibration. Looking at the engine and transmission when letting the clutch out you can see the engine rock back and forth. I...
Does the car shift into gears with the engine off? When you say the shifter doesn't move at all do you mean you can't move it to the left or right when in neutral, or do you mean 1st to 2nd?
