Just ordered one. I tried to the first day Luda started this thread but I did not follow through because I was feeling too lazy to start an account @ the link posted. Checked again today and there is an option to purchase as a guest with no account so I finished my order. I don't think that it...
Double check your order number status on Frontline Fabrications website. It likely says "processing", rather than "processed". If he has your order done and shipped out to you, the status will change from "processing" to "completed", not "processed". You should also get a tracking number sent to...
I spent an hour or so on google trying to find info on what injectors or turbo or power he was making to no avail a couple weeks ago. AWD swap and good rally tires would have been nice. Wish he would have asked for donations during his 7 days of prep before the race.
Nice, good luck. Sounds like someone running 8 1650's with no cage should slap a modified stock gas tank/fuel pump hanger back in and show up too. :aha:
I don't exactly care for the 0.800 top gear for street use, but the rest would be great. I have been planning on ordering a custom ratio PPG gear set for a while now, which will be substantially much more $ than the standard evo1-3/dsm PPG gears offered through our supporting vendors. I just...
I read this entire thread again today for about the fifth time in the last couple of years. I'm still lost :idontknow:. So, :beatentodeath: here goes. In my manual trans blue 1ga Talon I have a 3 bolt non-LSD rear diff. I want to install an Evo VIII rear diff (minus the housing) with a Weir...
Absolutely love "Too Late Frozen", and the entire Bloody Kisses album. On a different note, a buddy at work recently introduced me to a band called Night Flight Orchestra. For a while I kept making him play their song "Domino", pretty catchy song, but I doubt most would care for it, lol.
Hahaha, I missed ErikTande's observant joke too. And that seems so strange to me that someone in their 20's inside the continental U.S. has never seen a 1g in person. Good idea to keep em out of the snow especially in bigger cities that use literally tons of salt on the roads.
Type O Negative, how old are you, lol? I used to be into Type O, but I'm 38. I like a lot of different stuff even including some rap, just not country or mainstream hiphop. I've mellowed out some since my youth though. Jane's Addiction, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Nine Inch Nails, White Zombie...
Not sure if you seen this from his facebook page, but it was written only 4 days ago. I believe you answered your own question, his shop is what's going on with him, nothing more fortunately. Can't blame you for being frustrated from being inconvenienced and wanting your baby back. However, I...
Heres a link to Magnus's 2g dsm Billet Wheel Hub. >>> http://magnusmotorsports.com/products/chassis/magnus-billet-wheel-hub/I would be all about blowing a few grand on billet wheel hubs if they were for a 1G.
On Facebook there is a group titled "1g DSM aluminum Knuckles". I tried...
Ordered the new billet intake on day one, but having second thoughts on the throttle body flange I chose. I was going to run the S90 74mm throttle body, but I am debating on switching to the BBK/Power Plus 5.0L 75/90mm flange in order to use a Boomba 75mm tb that are made for the Evo's. I can...
Come on now, both are just the results of tons of diligent computer engineering and testing for a design that offers the best possible flow and function, so yes they will be similar. Any subtle improvements should be appreciated and welcomed.
Thanks for sharing that compilation video GRNDSM. Loved it. Maybe not exactly what the O.P. was looking for, but a really good way to show the potential of our awd's. Tear up those F-bodies in your little 4g63 powered monster box car, then include a dsm getting the best of you too. Good job bud.
Sorry for causing more confusion/debate, was not my intention. This 1st quote is from the 8th post of this thread by keltalon quoting twicks. It sounds like they are saying the evo1 1st/2nd gears cannot be separated to combine the 2.571 evo1 1st gear and 1.684 evo2/3 2nd gear(also 1.684 dsm 2nd...
Can an awd Dsm 2nd gear be used on the Evo 1 input shaft gear set? Press the Evo 1 2nd gear off and press on the Dsm 2nd gear. The evo 1 uses the weaker large hub/sliders on 3rd 4th gears. Evo II III uses stronger small hub sliders on 3rd 4th gears. Are the 1st and 2nd gear hub/sliders all the...
I feel for the employees. The plant I work at is going downhill fast. I'm getting layed off, permanently more than likely on the 18th. Just 5 years ago we had over 400 production workers, now we are at 200, with about 90 more gone within the year/month. Gonna be rough going from $27.95/hr to...
The benefit of a 2.1 or 2.2 destroker would be a fast reving motor with a very high rpm limit. Sounds great, but running 9500 to 10,500 rpm's is also hard on the transmission/drivetrain/electrical and about impossible to shift a stock manual trans/clutch reving that high. Also need to modify the...
I've personally messaged Bolt Mechanics 2 times in the last 6/8 months with no response, most recently just 2 weeks ago. Please post info on pricing, gear ratio availability, raw materials used if possible.
Hey all, I started a facebook page entitled "285-35-17 tire locator and interest group". Please feel free to join, it is an open group. I did this in hopes of finding a good ultra performance summer tire. They have been made in relatively low numbers over the years, but I can't find any new.I...
Dhan,
.....
Dhan, this is the second time in the last 6 months I've read about someone dealing with a clutch master cylinder that was bolted too tight to the firewall. I've also read about at least one person welding a plate to the firewall's master cylinder mounting surface to stiffen the area...
The bfgoodrich G-force rivals are very good for the $. Just don't go too crazy in rain. Ive ran 2 sets of them 225/45/17's.I'm currently searching for 285/35/17's, but can't find any except for track only tires.
Dsmkauai's oil pan theory is very plausible. I've had a turbo oil return line leak bad enough to completely cover the oil pan from underbody draft/wind which pushed it even further up the firewall than in the op's pic. This was on the stock metal oil return line, the flexible section of it...
I see what your thinking, 2 puller fans attached directly to the back of (fmic) intercooler in between the fmic and the radiator, pulling through the intercooler directly first while pushing through the radiator from a small distance.IMO, anyone is free to disagree, Even if you closed...
Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures of the install in the 1g. Next time i have the chance i will take pics. I did have two puller slim fans with my 2g exhaust manifold/pte6152 and melted the drivers side fan within 50 miles. Then i switched up to pushers with tubular exhaust...
I could not be any happier with my F.A.L. (Flex-a-Lite) FLX-490 reversible fans. A little pricey, yes, I paid $369.95 to my door after a $30 rebate from Summit Racing 2 years ago. But they should perform better than 2 spal 30101504 fans that are only rated at a combined cfm of 2450 that don't...
Appreciate the suggestions guys, and yes it will see a lot of snow and salt here in Ohio. I'll try out the undercoat spray then. Fairly cheap insurance/longevity I would think also. Also avoid getting gas on the coating during install especially while still curing. Thanks for the advise.
Just picked up a 2000 Ford F-150 xlt extended cab 4x4 5.4l triton gasoline v8 with 148k miles for cheap, but the 24 gallon gas tank leaks super bad. I am already getting a brand new replacement for $135 with new straps ($1400 from ford lol), along with a new sending unit and pump for another...
Not sure of what exactly you are trying to accomplish. The difference between 6000k and 8000k, is the perceivable color spectrum. For brighter lights, you would want a higher lumens output.
10w30 and 20w50 Valvoline Synthetic VR1 racing oil is on the shelves everyday at autozone for $9.16 a quart. They also carry Royal purple full synthetic racing oil for a little over $9.00 a quart, but only in 10w30. Walk in and done, no shipping bull chit.
Anyone have pics of a vacuum assisted set-up? I do believe that would be the proper/safer way also. I've looked a little into one way check valves also months ago, but couldn't find one specifically for my application (jmfab catch can with two -10an lines and an air breather on top) for a decent...
Oh ok, sorry to hear about your picky HOA and sucky situation. I have no knowledge on the jmfab fuelcell in a fwd. There are other options like temporary small plastic fuel cells from summit racing etc, but I'm sure you'd rather have an anodized direct factory fitting piece of art from JMF...
rtrocket59... If you are close enough to JNZtuning, why not take it back to them? They absolutely know these cars. I wouldn't trust any local shop with my tranny/clutch issues even if like family, or good friends.
If I do the Miata mod again, I would weld a grease fitting on both ends of the rack for filling/refilling making sure they are accessible without removal from the vehicle. Also the 3 fittings on the housing are at least 2 different sizes, and pipe thread pitched.
Honestly, I can't say I know for sure. I packed the housing full and the tube nearly completely full. Was a bit of a pain and messy packing tube full, but I didn't want to give the teeth on shaft a chance to get dry over time. But again, I don't actually know. Any one?
Oh ya, the bushing does go back in, that'll keep grease in, and contaminates out. Thanx for the likes to my posts guys. Wish I would have made them all big pics instead of thumbpics but they are available for everyone now. Good luck
