For Sale 6 bolt block complete

I have a spare stock 6 bolt block complete and pulled from my car with 60k on it. I built a block and swapped it in my car so this block has been sitting since. It was running fine when pulled with no problems. Has been sitting on a stand covered since. Comes with oil pan and everything...

Posting this up on tuners and link first in hopes that a fellow dsmer will pick this up.I am finally at the time of life to let this one go. This is a built 99 eclipse gsx. I have been into dsms ever since I started driving and I have owned this car for the last 12 years...

DSMLink nitrous controls + meth injection

Alright I have another question. I have everything wired up and installed. But I am not seeing the pump kick on when its supposed to. If I take my signal wire going to the relay and ground it, the pump will turn on. I took my nozzle out and physically watched it activate. So the pump is...

DSMLink nitrous controls + meth injection

Thanks for the link. I read through it but im still quite confused. I have a relay that came with the pump. Obviously I am going to use a relay, but there is all this talk about using a relay with the ground wire because the ecu grounds the fpr/egr wire right? So do I need two relays or...

    Twin scroll hx35 spool results.

Idk, if someone wants to enlighten me Im all ears. It was on e85, sd, and afr 12 at wot a little leaner on spoolup. When it spooled, it spooled fast. It jumped from 5psi to 35 in a heartbeat. But at about 5k.

    Twin scroll hx35 spool results.

I had a true twin scroll setup on a 7 blade hx35. Redjack t3 manifold and dual wastegates off the manifold. All supporting mods and all i could get was 30 psi by 5k. This was on a 12cm housing. And that compressor is rated at 56 lbs/min and all I could muster out of it was 51-52 lbs/min.

Vacuum lines, what to T and what not to T?

I have my BG teed into the FPR. The bov does need a dedicated line. At least on a 1g intake manifold there is a port that was solely for the bov. I would think there should be something similar for a 2g.

    Holset Turbos, PART 9

I went with that turbolab t3 housing. I just got it last week. I could have had the hx35 housing machined but I had the stock 12cm^2 housing on the hx35. I could only get 52 lbs/min out of the 7 blade hx35 and I felt the housing was to blame. I wanted a larger turbine housing so I can the...

New T3 .82 AR Turbine housing alternative for HX40

I just picked up one of these. I bought it monday night and had it by friday. Looks good, has a 3" v band non wastegated housing, my hx40 slid right into it. Cheaper than bep and it says .82 a/r. Its already bolted on the car, i just got to finish fabbing a piece to go from it to my downpipe.

    Holset Turbos, PART 9

I know this thread has been dead awhile but didn't want to start another, so anyway. I just swapped my twin scroll 7 blade hx35 for a 60mm 7 blade hx40. The hx40 has an 18cm^2 housing on it and I tried it out. Man, holy lag. 35 psi by 5500 or something like that. I'm not liking it. I was...

    2G Opinions on hot spots

No it wasn't really giving me much problem. It just didn't want to shift easily at 7-8k. I just pulled it because I'm swapping in a built bottom end. So I'd be alright to run an act street disk with this pressure plate right? Instead of the kevlar disk I have now.

    2G Opinions on hot spots

So, I pulled my motor and tranny out to swap in another block and thus took my clutch assembly off. Once I got it out of there I found 3 nice hot spots on my flywheel and pressure plate. I wasn't expecting this, and am now wondering what was the cause of this. The pressure plate is a...

2G Lifter Advice / Low Compression Issue

Arp recommends like around 90-100 lbs of torque with their moly lube. If using motor oil then the torque value is like 110-120. Just inspect the studs to see if the threads show any signs of galling. http://arpinstructions.com/instructions/207-4701.pdf

2G Lifter Advice / Low Compression Issue

Revised 3g lifters will do the trick. Absolutely no need to fork out a bunch of cash for evo ones. Extremepsi has them for $99 No you do not need new head studs. L19's are a beast and should be able to be reused several times as long as they are not stretched. I doubt this is a lifter or...

ECMlink Stalling problem , log attached

I think I have remedied the problem thus far. Got a tip that it could be my sd table and in fact that has made the biggest difference of anything. As of now the car does not stall at all, idles a bit high at 1100 or so but its much more driveable now than stalling all over the place.

ECMlink Stalling problem , log attached

Hey guys, I have had an idle/stalling problem for quite some time and have been diligently working on it for some time now. I used to run a block off plate on a 1g throttle body with no isc and fiav but the idle and stalling can not be ignorned anymore. Right now I have a brand new isc and I...

2g auto tranny in 1g questions

Ok I am considering the option of installing a 2g tranny in my 1g. I have searched quite a bit but wanted to clear a couple things up. My 1g is just my daily driver. I have a 2g gsx that serves my need for speed. The 1g has a 6 bolt in it and a stock auto tranny. The tranny is a bit rough...

    Hard starting, misfiring and sputtering

Cleaning the injectors didn't do anything. Ecmtuning confirmed that the capacitors were leaking and messing up the board. I should have the ecu back by the end of the week so hopefully that will fix things up.

    Hard starting, misfiring and sputtering

Thanks for the reply. Its been very frustrating the last couple days. I decided to take the injectors out and clean them and see what that does. If that doesn't work then I guess I'll be hunting for an ecu.

I could use some help and or advice guys. I have a 1g that's my dd. Its all stock 2.0 nt AT. I just painted it a few weeks ago and it was sitting for a couple weeks while I worked on it. Anyway, it used to fire right up as soon as I cranked it. Now its gotten harder to start. At first it...

    Advice on no-start

Final update: Talked to a local mechanic today. After explaining everything, his suggestion was to check the battery. I know the battery was putting out 12.5 volts while sitting. His suggested that the battery could not put out proper voltage while under a load. Anyway I put the battery...

    Advice on no-start

Another update. I pulled out the starter to test it myself by the manual. The pinion moves out when its told, and moves in when its told. The motor also spins freely. IE it runs. So the starter is good. I bolted it back in the car and hooked everything up. I started it up and the starter...

    Advice on no-start

When I was referring to the ground wire, I was referring to the ground wire on the starter mounting bolt (on the tranny side) And if the clutch switch is functioning, then that rules something else out. Thanks for the input.

    Advice on no-start

Ok, update to the thread. I got the starter rebuilt by a local shop. I hooked everything back up and just like before with the other starter, I go to start it and it doesnt do anything. Once the key moves from on to start, everything just dies. All the lights, everything. If I take the key...

    Advice on no-start

Ok, I pulled out the starter relay and tested it; it seemed fine to me. I then tried to connect the pos terminal with the relay out of the car and the same thing occurred. I sparked a good bit and after a couple seconds the starter started to spin. So, then I just unhooked the starter all...

    Advice on no-start

Ok, here is the scenario. The car died on the way to class a couple weeks ago. I pinpointed the problem to the car not getting fuel. I tested the fuel pump relay and it tested good. I checked the hot wire going into the top of the fuel pump harness on top of the assembly and it was getting...

Where to route this oil feed line? (PICS)

I dont know if the 180 bend would be a good idea or not. FWIW, I think the stainless line would be able to take a lot of abuse as far as holding up to heat. Mine is running to the turbo right under the manifold like yours. I think the oil passing through would have enough flow/pressure in the...

Picking up Paint soon, give me some BLACK options

After some thought, I just went with the stock black. I ended up going local to get the painting supplies, primer, basecoat, and clear. I purchased everything from a local keystone automotive. The paint is made by wanda. I was skeptical about this paint at first, but of course I googled it...

Is it possible my wideband isn't working correctly?

It could be possible if there is a leak anywhere in between the turbo outlet and the wideband. Check to make sure all your bolts are tight and give it a once over. Also from what your describing, maybe check out the spark plugs and see what they look like.

Oil pressure light on with normal oil pressure?

Down on your oil filter housing there is a stock oil pressure sender, for the stock oil pressure gauge, and an oil pressure swith which activates the light on the dash.
