Thanks for your fast responses on my problem. I have now checked and changed the coil and the PT with no affect, then I did an ohm test on wires from the Pt to the computer, and they checked out good...then I put everything back together and it started right up. I am thinking my connector to my...
About 3 months ago I had a spark issue, I replaced the CAS and that seemed to fix my problem. The car has been sitting a week since the last time I drove it, I went to drive it today and again no spark. So sometimes it will get spark, and sometimes it wont. Has anyone ever encountered this...
I installed a vce, to put mine on a 2 wheel dyno, put down 365hp. It was fun to drive around in fwd mode for a while :) lot of spinning loloh and the vce install is pretty ez btw. good luck
I have a 1g with a Quartermaster twin disk and want to run the 2g clutch accumulator. I am having a hard time finding this part, is there a different name it goes by, or better yet does anyone have a part number. It would be great to get a new one from AutoZone or any local auto part dealer...
ThanksThat crack is in the fuel line fitting for the fuel filter, I had it mounted to the firewall in the stock position. Well come to find out the hard way, I didnt leave enough slack in the fuel line between the rail and the filter, so when the motor rocked forward from getting on it hard...
Looks like I will have to find a different adhesive, its starting to let go now.as far as the rattle there is none that i can hear, but my car is pretty loud to begin with. lolThanks for everyones positive replies about the interior. To make the panel for the rear seat cover I...
Sure bring it on down, im still laid off and have plenty of time on my hands lolI got it from an auto interior shop here in Wichita ks, cant remember the name of it now, but i just did a google search and started calling different places to see who i could order from. It does come in black...
I had a fire also, after draining the water from the oil pan, I removed the motor, tore it a part, cleaned and put back together. I didnt touch the rotating assy.U can see that the intake was melted pretty goodthe cause of it allThis is what the motor looks...
I had the same problem when my talon was stock, exept for the lights flickering...anyways after I changed my injectors the problem was gone. hope this helps
Thanks again for everyones positive feed back, To get the vinyl to stick to the aluminum I first sanded the aluminum with 80 grit and wiped it clean with break clean, then i had to do some experimenting on the procedure of attaching and different types of glues, we ended up using a adhesive...
Thanks for the props for the interior, and I totally understand what you are saying about the seat belts, after getting the interior all done and taking the car out for a drive with those seat belts I soon realized the seats and the seat belts are not a good design, the only reason I used them...
That is a good point, I should take out the sound deadening mat crap, and for the belts and the sheet metal I made the cutout big enough so the belts will not rub at high tension and I do have metal reinforced vinyl trim around the cutouts as well, that crimps on. Thanks a lot.
Since I have been laid off for about 4 months now, I thought this would be a good time to redo my interior, seeing that I have more free time than I know what to do with lol. Here are some pics of the sheet metal work and carpeting. Thanks for looking. Nathan
1993 Talon Tsi Awd, Caged rolling chassis (DSM)I have been trying to sell this car for over a year now, and the price is cheaper than the cage cost to put in. Sorry if this is "trolling" or whatever, but I think this is the only site that someone will see it and want it.
thanks
I had the same problem with my first talon when it was stock, so i changed the injectors and it fixed the problem, try to at least borrow a set of injectors and change them out, it only takes about 20 min and will at least cross that off the list if that is not the problem.
I am having trouble with my AEM EMS.I bought a talon with everything done to it that I wanted on my car, so I pulled the AEM EMS and all the sensors that go with it and even the injectors. After installing the AEM EMS, 5 bar map, RC 1000cc injectors, and AIT, I loaded the startup calibration...
Hey guys,Currently I am running dsmlink with a maft and gm 3.5 maf. Well I have always had problems with tuning this set up and I want to try something more efficient. Can I run a 2g maf with dsmlink on my current set up and not over run the maf?thanks
hey im from wichita ks. that would be cool to get some dsm's together. when you get here the local dsm shop is called fusionworks racing, they work on all cars but dsms seem to be their specialty.
Watching it burn with a new fully built motor waiting on the fire dept.
(FYI) Motor was ok and in new car now, and loaded with fire extinguishers just incase. lol
My car wont idle at 5 deg btdc it will idle slow spudder and die. If I change timing
around 15 deg btdc it will idle fine. I have tried to adjust idle at 5 deg with no help. Thanks
Oh im sorry you are talking about your valve cover breather, I forgot how the pcv valve was set up, i just have mine hooked to a hose that runs down beside the tranny and i plugged the line that went to it from the intake.
Im sure there is a link on this site explaining how to do this check, but if all you are doing is pulling off your turbo intake pipe and capping off the turbo, then pulling off your BOV vac line and inserting your air compresser nozzle into that, then that is correct... well i hope that is...
if you have a A/F gauge, and the means to change fuel mixture, make sure you are not to lean. If the leak you hear sounds like a small leak I would not think that is the main problem, but if the leak sounds really open and free moving then you should fix that first.
