Hey guys and gals, I'm looking to sell my magnus V3 intake as it's just over kill for the build I'm planning on doing so I'm looking to sell it. This manifold is from the first batch ever made and it's still in pristine condition, will come with the adapter flange with heat barrier gasket for...
I leave that shit to the trained professionals as much as do my own work I know my limits too, but hey never hurts to learn if you want to. I know I had a hard time trying to find the splice on my oring job, my machinist is very good at what he does. I've watch a couple videos but they always...
So my train of thought towards the red vs blk is there in the same exhaust housing with the same TW. I know my self good enough that the power I'm looking for would have the red pretty much at full steam shaft speed wise achieving the power I want, may not initially but over time, Yes LOL So...
Sorry mis-read that. Manifold no as it flows great as is, none of the ones I had were ported but it might be worth the money just not something I'd do for my setup. Now the exhaust housing I believe you'd benefit from them porting it, I have one thats ported by them that was on my fp green and...
No that's all that is available. DSM doesn't get the BB option as the evos do only JB which is fine with me. I've ran both and its not something I'm concerned about as to effect the spool. I run good oil so the thrust bearing should be fine when i decide to push the turbo.
I hear ya but the 3065 is in their 9cm housing opposed to the black in the mitsu 8cm housing. I've ran both housings and the 8cm mitsu housing spools quicker then the fp30(9cm) My green was in the 8cm and I ran 11.1@127 in my car weighting 3300 so it makes decent power. For me it's just more...
I have heard good things about the hx-35 and 40 but I'm a creature of habit lol and I usually stick with what I know....and that's been fp for a long time. Just had great luck and those mofos make power!!
We don't have the options the evo 8 9 10 have. I'd have to run complete T4 manifold twin gates T4 turbo ect. I really like the fp housing the evo black comes in if that could work on a dsm I'd rock that.
I really liked that turbo but it still is a bit much for me I'm thinking, but it's definatly more streetable/quicker spooling then your 6262. I'm really considering the dsm black JB turbo, I already have fp ported 8cm exhaust housing that I could use. I'd run external wg off the O2 for boost...
I've looked at that but I'd love to find a 3065 in like new cond, I know they're out there somewhere I hope LOL. I really don't want to buy a new hta3076 if I can avoid it.I've got a 71HTA which is just a 68HTA on my evo8 and man it reminds me of my old fp green I had when I first picked my...
LOL I know I know.....but I'm getting to old and honestly scared to break this god damn new TRE trans. My car was a hoot with a 60mm size turbo so I'm going back to my roots as crazy as that sounds.FYI my past turbos: fp3065 in their fp30 hotside - fp3582 in their fp30 hotside- fp3586 in both...
Looking to start playing with the old pig again. Selling the 6466 and looking for something in the fp3065 range. That's when I enjoyed the car, and the trans wasn't always broke lol.It was good to take some time away, starting to miss her again lolI'll be updating as we get closer to spring...
DSM86HTA is one of the best street/strip setup IMO. I've experienced many different setups in a similar size frame turbo over the years and I really liked the Fp bolton housing the best. Also like the WG placement and how compact the setup is with fp's exh mani.
So the fp3788 is just too much turbo for the street, totally unusable power range and stressed driveline parts more then I'm comfortable with. So I'm going back to a setup that was fun and although I still plan to make 600hp I can only hope there's no trans issues, but there really shouldn't be...
Looks good Vegas! My first DSM was a 92 6/4 Laser AWD, should never of sold it lol but it seen too many Canadian winters that's what drove me to fly to Florida to get the pig I have now. Great thread btw!
Time heals all wounds........lolLike you all might of guessed, I sorta like Mitsubishi and really have a soft spot for dsm's. I couldn't bring myself to strip it down to a shell, the car's to mint to that. I will eventually sell the car to the right person at a power level that is usable on...
Little update for those who might have been following the car, I've still got it and it's not going anywhere anytime soon. I've sold some stuff off the car but nothing too big. Planning on going back to a fp3052 or fp3065 size setup. Maybe even a green as I have an old one I could have rebuilt...
I've been using this for the past year and it's the best I've used for rubber rejuvenation. Actully I find all their stuff top notch.

^^^ Mike Be afraid, very afraid lolI want to paint the 8 WW but its going to be hard the damn silver paint on it's like new. I may get the hood painted, don't like carbon hoods on evo's, but silver looks ok i guess. I'm like you and love white on an evo.
Sorry didn't mean too . Really the transmission parts being discontinued sealed the deal for me, especially the power it was at, it's just a ticking time bomb. Even fully built trans, at the 750 mark you're playing Russian roulette. Also my kids are scared of it, my wifes hates it with a passion...
I'm not quite sure to what you're reffering too. But its normal to have to tighten the cams down equally from side to side so not to bind. You will be opening a couple valves while you're tightening the cams down into their saddles. Hope that makes sense and if not try and clarify what you're...
Thx Mike! I'm having a real hard time NOT buying anything for it, I'm getting a serious urge too . It's a turbo away from 600 wheel, it has all supporting mods. There's an Fp black in my future I think ha ha.I'm not selling the car as of yet and when I get the cage out of it and put it back to...
Thanks. If I never built the eclipse into the unmanageable beast it is today i'd still be driving it and enjoying it but sadly I don't enjoy it at all in its current state. The evo 8 is so much quieter, more room not suffocated by a roll cage, and my god these things handle....it's better then...
For those who care......at least its prestine. 05 gsr ssl 60000miles southern car. This is just how I bought it.I've started to pull the eclipse apart, going to slowly sell the parts off over the summer. I've got a ton of good stuff alot basicly new, Transmission stg 4 tre with all bells...
It's loud, it's power band is NOT street friendly, it's cramped with the roll cage. See the problem is I bought an Evo X couple years ago and I so much rather that now, it's got me spoiled. So the 8 I bought has just under 500hp and a lot of quality parts, Se interior, sunfoof, ac, quiet, just a...
Welp this post isn't gonna bring any likes LOLSad day boys :( bought an evo 8 and I'm going to be parting out my car over the summer. Its just too ignorant and not practical for me anymore, as I'm getting older and at the power level its at I just don t enjoy it.
Now's a good time to part it...
Starting to turn the boost up on this Fp6466, and it's ready to party.....WOW LOLThe new TRE Stg 4 trans is the best shifting transmission I've felt and I've had a few shep boxs. Jons boxes just falls into gear, shifts effortlessly at high rpm, I'm very pleased. Cooler seems to be keeping...
Been a little hesitant to post my most recent mod ha ha. Some serious rice taken place here LOL
So my trans cooler/lubricator has an inline filter on the suction side before it enters the cooler, pump ect.
If the filter is to clog or start to clog it's going to limit fluid output obviously, so...
They're just too small for my liking. With my FF can gone there's all kinds of room. I've already committed on the switch and -10 and -12 an fittings aren't cheap so it's happening lol. I do like those mishimoto cans tho if it was bigger and had a configuration that would work with my -10 I...
Used some loom and 3:1 heat shrink to get the line kit to blend in behind my intake. I hate the look of a bunch of stainless lines run every which way, with the loom they hide pretty good, you can't see them at all.
I'm switching my CC set over to a Calan can with two -10 in and one -12 out, all black fittings and black wrinkle on the can. Here's the Fp intake I actually bought by accident couple years ago, didn't notice the fitting welded on :ohdamn: from the way it was laying in the picture, and bought...
So I'm finally switching my boost controller from a manual to electronic, link controlled boost. So I mounted the Ingersoll valve to a small bracket I fabbed up and a piece of aluminum, to my rad support. It worked out pretty good, as this is where I needed it, nice and close to my WG. I'm...
Thanks ceedawg!Very good point about that and at that point I hadn't bleed the lines yet as I was waiting for the staging brake to come. I did come across that, the different flare, in my research and had to source the right fittings for the master to work with the STM line kit to install the...
Stanced..... you can go **** yourself LOL (jk) I ******* despise those cars/fads. Sorta pisses a guy off to buy coilovers too get the car as low as I'm looking only to have the front slammed and it be higher then the strut/spring combo I removed LOL. I'm certainly not going for the stanced look...
The lines are easy to manipulate just make sure you maintain a large radius when you bend the lines so not to kink them. They're more maleable then I thought too.
I've re-bedded my organic ACT 2600 way back when. Slipped it at the track with my fp3586 and hoosiers. Then started DD and it was good in a couple weeks.
Been wanting one of these for some time now, finally found one lightly used and with the line kit. This will make launching the car so much better IMO.
Above picture was before I installed the staging brake, I'll update it with the staging brake line kit installed later. Also that's blue making...
