100 percent stock engine still (beside a K&N filter). I have some money set aside for when a forced induction kit comes out. A couple kits have been in development for a long time now. At this point I'm patiently waiting... Turbokits.com is developing a single turbo kit, NGM is developing a...
I did it into my 96 GST Spyder..... it is easy.It is a 7-Bolt however you will need to swap a few things over like the thermostat housing and make a wiring harness for the CAS, + a few other things but everything is pretty straight forward and shouldn't add more then 15 min to the swap.
I had the same issue with my old 18g..... I ended up gently denting the coolent pipe to make room for the turboI believe there are others that have done the same...
I liked the yellow because the color is exclusive to the 3.8 Track version, not everyone that buys the car can opt for the yellow. In the sun the "Interlagos Yellow" really looks good.
Yeah I'm pretty excited about this car in next month or two there is 2 different supercharger kits coming out and a high output N/A kit. Twin Turbo kit is due this fall. I'm already saving my pennies. :D
I looked at both the 2.0T Track and 3.8 Track and the 3.8 had a lot of options and full leather interior which the 2.0T Track did not. The 100 extra hp helped too. Both engines are great and take mods well.
Its been fun. I sold my 96 GST Spyder a while back and picked up a Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track. Love it so far but I would be lying if I said I didn't miss my DSM.Picture was taken 2 months back.
I bought my Greddy 18g rebuilt off Justin last summer and I must say he did one hell of a job on the rebuild. :thumb: It's still running strong and pulling hard.Sorry for being a little off topic
I can tell you that +43mm will not clear the Evo Brembo Brakes. If I were you I would get a set of Evo 8/9 wheels which are +38mm, they look good and will clear those brakes.
Personally I would first do all the maintenance to make sure your car is running strong, then before you do anything else I would at least throw in a evo 8 or 9 fuel pump, the factory pump won't get you that far power wise. You can pick up one of those pumps for 30 bucks on an evo forum and its...
The other day it was -10F here where I am currently living. Before that day my car ran perfect but that morning when it was so cold my car would not start and it has not been able to start since. I had the starter tested and its good. Battery and Alt are fairly new.I was wondering if it was...
I can put it into any gear and start is no problem. The clutch fork is not bent, I inspected it when the tranny was out. I'm thinking the pivot ball may need to be spaced out with a washer (although I really don't want to drop the transmission AGAIN). I have also bled the system for what seemed...
Its not an adjustment issue,
flywheel is fine, i have the fidanza flywheel and clutch combo it should be fine. I'm thinking the clutch cables might be at fault. I'm going to check it later today. I know TOB is installed correctly as well.
Well my car stopped shifting a little bit ago so I dropped the transmission to find the 5 out of the 6 springs in my fidanza 4.3 clutch had come out. Fidanza sent me a new clutch and flywheel. I installed everything. Pivot ball and clutch fork appeared to be fine and a new TOB was installed...
Hi everyone,About 6 months (4000 miles) ago I purchased a Fidanza 4.3 Clutch Kit for my 96 Spyder GST. I already had the flywheel. All was well until about a 2 weeks ago, I started hearing a grinding noise. I stopped driving it and finally found time to take out the transmission. What I found...
i know alot of people never know where to find these taillights so i thought i would post a link to some i found on ebay.. these are not mine, i jus found them and thought this might help some people out...
You say that your going to upgrade to DSMlink V3 so why don't you get the socketed eprom ECU now. Then get a keydriver chip from Jeff at DSMchips to use as your base tune and go from there. Then you can just buy the DSMlink V3 when it comes out and you will already have the ECU. Since I put my...
Put my Eprom ECU with the keydriver chip and my Denso 720's in today. Car is running great so far, no issues as of now. I'm most likely still replacing that O2 Sensor though, its pretty much shot.
I went to advanced auto today to use the diagnostic tool and here is what I came up with"At idle with the car warm:TPS = .4%
Load = 18%
Coolant = 214
IAT = 126
Timing = 5-6 Degrees Advance
LT FTRM1 = 12.5%
ST FTRM1 = 17.5%
Fuel = Switch between Open/Closed
O2S11 = .02V
O2S12 = bounced around...
Mine did it again tonight, let me know how the timing is. I just got my socketed ecu in the mail, my bigger new injectors are on the way and this week I am ordering my keydriver chip from DSMchips. If that doesn't fix the problem I am going to try seafoam. Maybe there is a carbon build up. lol...
I got a new battery and she runs perfect now. My old battery was almost 2 years old, still had 2 months of warranty left on it from advanced auto, so I took it in and they swapped it out for free for me. Can't beat that. Ill post back in a couple days and let you know if its still holding up fine.
Well it did it again today on the way to work. Maybe the spark plug wires were not the issue. Anyways I have a Perrin Boost Controller in the mail to replace my home depot boost controller. (It needed to be replaced anyways) We will see if that does it.
I am running Bosch Wires. I had them before and they were great for alone time, the replacement set I got were garbage and the new set I got work perfect. Its weird
I got another set of wires again today and also moved my MBC pressure source a little closer to the compressor housing then poooof like magic it was fixed. The car is running great now, def pulls harder and feels like its running strong. I'm guessing the new set of wires I bought before were...
Yes I have an Evo III Engine in mine. I picked mine up from Osaka Motors in montreal Canada. They were great, I got to walk through the warehouse and pick the engine I wanted, luckily I knew what to look for in an Evo III engine such as 7 bolts, black top CAS, injectors turbo, intake manifold...
Evo 3 Longblock (Black top CAS); Spark plug wires are correctly in coil and injector wires are switched at ECU
Greddy 18g Turbo @ 15psi
Evo III Exhaust Manifold,
VooDoo III MBC,
1G BOV,
Prothane Motor Mounts,
SS Auto FMIC

That is very true, although I should get a logger I was trying to save for DSMlink and get that instead. I'm heading back up to NY for July 4th weekend, I have a bunch of extra parts kickin around up there, Im going to bring them back and swap out things 1 at a time to see if any of them fix my...
