You will need the install kit. J-pipe oil lines etc. If you plan on running 2g stock boost then no you don't necessarily need to upgrade anything unless you plan to increase the boost. If you wish to I would recomend 550's a wally 190 or 255(with a good regulator) and a reliable boost gauge.
Just take off the 17mm bolt that holds the cam gear to the cam then you can take off the gear. There is a hex cast into the cam so you can hold it with a wrench so it does not turn.
if you arent AWD then you don't need to run the intermediate shaft. just get the fwd half shaft. If the intermediate shaft went more than likely it did some damage on your cv joints
