I am tossing around the idea of buying a 1g auto awd to build a kinda road race car. What all would I need to do to a stock 1g auto to hold say 250-350 whp?
I just sold my twin turbo'd cummins that ran 12.3 with a built auto and im looking to build an AWD DSM with a built auto because I loved run the track under constant boost and quick hard shifts. I still have a lot of cummins parts such as an HX35 that I plan on running in the talon with and...
Well guys I just installed my 14b in my 99 gsx and I am pretty sure I am messed up my 02 sensor when I was trying to bolt my turbo to the 02 housing and I am pretty sure thats what the po125 is coming from so other than running rich will I harm anything for a couple weeks until my new evo III...
so I would be fine running that royal purple 75w90 all around... As for redline I dont really care enough to track it down my tranny has been fine for 100k without it and around my parts its a pain in the butt to track stuff like that down...
I was going to use royal purple max gear 75w90 in the tranny would that be ok to run in the transfer case and rear end? that is about all my local auto store carries.
Ok guys this weekend I am installing my new turbo and changing all the fluids. I have done a search and I am pretty sure I found some answers but not all of them. I have a 99 GSX and I found the tranny hold 2.4 quarts of gear oil. What does the transfer case and rear end hold? Also the coolant...
Well I talked my buddy into removing a broken stud and porting it for me and he ported it first then found out he couldn't get the stud out and we took it to a shop and they wanted 75 to 125 to remove it so I ended up buyin a used housing for $30 so he gets to port another one lol :tease:
I am looking at installing one for the moment to be able to vent my BOV and here within the next couple months be able to run 560 EVO injectors with my new turbo. I shouldn't need a datalogger until I go with bigger injectors should I, it wont be making any corrections.
Yea I know I just conned my buddy into doing it for $40 bucks he has a big compressor die grinder and the carbide bits for grinder and he is off of school right now and does nothing but sit at home so he was more than happy to do it for me...
Right now I just want a little more than the T25 and my brother 1g AWD makes plenty power on his 14b but I hate the boost creep so I figured I would port it to make thinks run cooler and spool faster while trying to get rid of the creep. He ended up finding out the hard way showing off to a...
yea I am swapping everything over from my 2g TB. So I will put the Feeler gauge in between the area I have pictured and like asrdave said do I go with continuity or non continuity it is one or the other I would imagine continuity right?
Yea I was going to port the wastegate and the knock the ring off maybe go a little bigger. I was also going to open up the flapper so it could open all the way because right now it doesn't...
Ok I picked a 14b turbo really cheap and its in awesome shape since its going to be about a week before I get the install kit and gaskets I figured for something to do I could port it out. What kinda porting tips can you guys give me and what would be a good bit to use on my 18v cordless drill...
I would imagine it is the factory downstream o2 sensor. Your AFC neo wont have a harness that it connects to if its anything like my SAFC II you have to tap into the factory harness...
Unless he gave you paperwork showing it was done I would have a shop check the belt out they should be able to tell you for sure unless there a shotty shop then even if it was changed they might try to make a few bucks off of you so make sure its one you trust. I am having mine done in a couple...
I have a 1g TB off a 91 in my garage I am going to swap over this weekend hopefully if I can get a questions cleared up, what is the throttle stop they are referring to in #3?RREs Eclipse 2G Turbo 1G Throttle Body SwapClosed TP Switch and TP Sensor Adjustment [2G]1. Disconnect...
Thanks for your help guys... Its been a long hard road getting back into these things. I have owned a Cummins for last couple years and know a lot about those and what I did know about DSM's 5 years ago is kinda hard to remember today... Its like learning how to ride a bike again lol...
Has anyone used this yet? I just need something to go from my FPR to the fuel rail, will this do it?Slowboy Racing, Inc. :: Mitsubishi :: DSM :: Fuel :: Fuel Line Kits :: FPR Push-Lock Return Line Kit 1G/2G
Man that just seems so hot... I dont understand why all these cars run that way. I always wondered why you cant touch the hood after running these for a while...
sounds like more work then it would be worth, it would be cool to say hey I have an EVO rear end though. Could sell it and buy an LSD rear end from another eclipse so its bolt on...
If you have an aftermarket FPR you should take the stock FPR off the side of your fuel rail thats is what the aftermarket one is replacing. I am pretty sure your only supposed to be running 30 psi at idle...
I would say pull your bumper off and start eyeing everything and figure how you want to mount it. There isnt really a right or wrong way just whatever you come up and whatever works...
Huh I was just paying attention to them on my way home from work and cruising at 65 I was hitting between 1150 and 1200 and idling I was hitting 800... I might have to look into a tubular to add when I put on my evo 3 o2
How did you tap into your fuel rail? What I mean by banjo bolt is the bolt that goes into the top of your fuel filter its called a banjo bolt and I dont have a fuel pressure regulator I had a buddy give me a B&M command flow and I have an EVO pump so I am planning on using that for now and...
