ive exchanged my starter at least a million times (or around that) and yes if you remove the battery and tray you should be able to get your hand between the coolant hoses and wiggle it out. be careful as i thought it was lighter than it was and ended up with a smashed finger. and thats no fun...

is all of this on a stock turbo? if you can search around for a evo 3 exhaust mani. it flows better than the 2nd gen and you can save the money from buying a new one if you get an evo 3 16g. I found a steal for 50 bucks with only 800 miles on it.

IMO i would add a MAF translator on that list with a 3" gm maf. although the 2g mafs are pretty free flowing themselves. but maft's can be used to tune also. just a thought if you want close to zero restrictions and you can just run without an intake and vent the bov.

did you put an oem clutch in? Sometimes when you have a racing clutch like an act 2600 clutch setup, the clutch slave rod won't fully engage.Will it just not go in or is it making a grinding noise?

is the 90 a gsx or a gst? the difference is awd or fwd. If its a gsx i say build the 90 and have the 93 as dd. but if its gst the swapping it into the 93 wouldnt be a bad idea (IMO the 93-94 look nicer).

Well, if money isn't a problem why not just get a complete turbo engine swap? Many places carry 90-94 turbo eclipse engines (4g63t). In the long run it'll save you money, time, and hassle to build a turbo engine. It also ends up being much faster in the end :D . After all, thats what i did and...

TOTALLY agree on this one.. I vote no. Mostly BECAUSE its for a girl. (not to be sexist lol). Actualy it was the base model eclipse and the eclipse RS that came with the 4g37 as shown here Model Guide: Eclipse 1Gb - DSMtunersIf it is indeed, a GS, then you are looking at getting the 4g63 non turbo.

actualy you can sometimes get a score on an engine with wiring harness and ecu.. if you DIY it should total around about 2k if you replace fluids seals and pumps usualy.

i actualy got one for free. there was a 91 fwd turbo laser in the same junkyard i got my 93 n/a eclipse in. i just swapped the motors ### the 91 was in horrible condition. the swap cost 700 plus all the seals and fluids and pumps that i replaced. it ended up being like 1100. but it was worth it...

i had to tighten my greddy when the bov fully opened at 3k. i had to dig up a hex key though. but now it works fine. i could see the bov being too loose as a problem to where it wouldnt hold boost.

WOW!! thats an excellent car...ask about it but its definetly a 93-01 impreza. it has 99k miles according to the pictures. im not positive ### theres a greater possibility that its a 93-01 subaru umpreza 2.5rs n/t with a turbo modded or it might have a 22b engine swap which is more practical...

repairing before modding is a very good idea. you can have all the mods in the world but what good does that do u if you car doesnt even run good to begin with.i personaly had a grinding transmission on my 93 and it turned out that my clutch needed to be bled. id say look into tranny problems...

this weekend has been really busy for me but i managed to take a look at it and write it all down and do a rough sketch on paint. this shows the factory harness and the crimp connections to the cd player harness

my car made the clicking noises a while back and i went and double checked the fuses and secured the connection on the starter and one of the connections was loose and went i secured that it started fine. just double check everything

when your car let out black smoke did u hear a "pop" noise? ### that could mean your car is backfiring, its normal for backfiring with cars with exhaust systems without cats. backfiring on a stock exhaust though is usually (to my knowledge) from running too rich
