Does anyone have any specific feedback on these xtra lights? I would like to go HIDs is possible. I had set in my GVR4 in the glass housing. That housing wasnt anywhere near as nice as even the ebay housings and I was VERY happy with the light level and color. It was very nice in foggy weather...
That is a bit aggressive for my taste and it would also be tricky in an area with as much snow as we get. Thank you very much for all your help. Any HID experts in the bmore area let me know.
Hey guys I havent been posting here much recently because I havent had a lot of time to work on my projects. The car in question is a 97 Eagle Talon. Some big pickup truck hit it in a parking lot and screwed up the front bumper cover and one of the headlights along with some bumper support...
I thought I would update this thread sorry for the delay.Mods are as follows:
Magnus 2.3
DSMChips with 650s
Slightly ported head
Evo3 16g
Ebay FMIC with JM Fab piping
etchttp://www.rdrkt.com/images/dyno/galantchart.jpgYou can see the stock cams are really holding it back. The...
Its honestly hard for everyone here to understand that you are this stupid. This has to be the third email I have gotten on this thread. So let me be clear for you. RT has NO effect on your ET. You can stay at the light for 10 mins as was said and this will have NO effect on your ET. The clock...
I'm not sure if you are looking at that in comparison to my other chart but that is approx 50 more hp and 50 more lb ft at 4900 rpm :sneaky: My peak HP normally occurs a bit later than that.
They want too much for it. On top of that Talon's dont have the same resale that a same year GSX would. They are worth at least 2k less. There is no good reason for this other than aesthetics but thats just the way it is.Just as a datapoint I got my mom's black/tan leather 97 TSI with 140k...
My point is I have no idea why you would want to treat anything in the head. Ive never had a head component fail personally and most of the failures I have seen is a valve spring issue.
I shipped a block from Lancaster to Clovis NM which is pretty damn far and it was like 60 bucks. I also had a block shipped from Magnus and it wasn too bad.
Here in PA I can pick up a block for under 100 bucks if I shop around so for me no it wouldnt be worth it. Where you are I have no idea what would be cost effective. That looks cracked enough to me that I would want to scrap it.
What in the world would you want to cryo?On another note. For quite awhile FFWD was contracting all their motor work out to BJs.
I wouldnt use JAM just out of principle although I'm sure they can port a head without screwing anything up.
I have a question for Ludacris. I noticed a lot of guys are using STD correction :nono: My question is what exactly is the purpose of this list? Are we supposed to show what our car does in the real world? Or are we trying to show the biggest number? When I play with my dynojet software I...
Along those lines you should see this. I went the wrong way with my MBC on the dyno WTF All I know is that it pegged the 35lb autometer gauge which I replaced the next day with a Stewart Warner 30-0-40 gauge. The afr was in the low 11s and as you can tell by the chart there was nothing bad...
Previous mom's car was a chipped 1.8t Jetta with divirter valve and filter. She tells me all the time how much she loves the Talon. The only problem she has with it is that kids try to race her all the time. Thank god her exhaust is stock for now because everyone still think the whole car is...

I have a 2.4 in the Talon with a GT40 and it makes 560/500 to the wheels. I have a 2.3 in the Galant with an EVO3 16g from FP. On my Talon you can see the dyno chart and its pretty damn nice. On my Galant in 5th gear at 2k I can smack on it and have 16lbs before 2400 :rocks: I have a couple...
I went through the same dilema when the T25 on my mom's 97 died.Keep in mind right now no one is doing a T28 upgrade. There is a big back order on some piece needed for that swap. So you would be looking at buying a new Big28.From a price perspective a sm16g with install kit that...
I think YOU are missing the point. Have you actually seen a dyno chart from each turbo? Look around a bit you might learn something. You will not see a $700 improvment in powerband. At absolute best you MIGHT see 300rpms difference between an E316g and a GT28rs. Its not like we are comparing a...
Actually my mom's 2g probrably makes more torque to the wheels at 3k then you do at the crank anywhere in the power band :DI was hoping you would have some video of the Rally-X on that site. That would be intresting to see.
It would do it MUCH faster than that. I dont know if you have seen any of the calculators out there that convert your eigth mile et and mph into 0-60 times. But it takes Shepherd a little less than 700 ft and 6 seconds to get to almost 130 mph. I would think the 0-60 is in the 1-2 sec range.
Just recently we did a 6 bolt swap into my mom's 97. I used a link because I didn't want to deal with the misfire issue. Because let me tell you if you are driving along and that code hits you are going to be in a world of hurt. However my buddy used the 97 ECU in my mom's car in another 6...
Pa was 19 bucks and about 7 days wait.I have a Glock 20 which is the largest framed Glock in a CTAC IWB holster and it conceals just fine with a polo shirt overtop. I wear it at about 3 oclock right by my pocket so my arm covers it nicely. I would think that a sub compact would conceal...
Agreed. This is going to be a more common problem as these blocks get scarce. You have to weigh your options. If you cut your crank proper assembly is going to be VERY important. You have to make sure you have someone competent doing the assembly and machine work. As for replacing the crank vs...
