Just updating the Thread. Installed some new factory Recaro seats from a Suzuki Swift I found in a junkyard for $25 for the pair. We also used the car as a dyno sign up, dyno results, guess the HP of the metro game, and free art at a local Toyota / Lexus Meet and had some interesting results...

Can I use the 1g power steering pump and bracket on my 2g 6 bolt swap? I know that I will probably need to either switch the pulley on the 1g power steering pump to the ribbed pulley or change the other pulley with the 1g v/ribbed belt.
There are other and better ways of tuning a car then an egt gauge. Once you have the car tuned you can monitor your egt gauge to see what the temp reading is. At this point it does not matter if it is in the manifold, o2 housing, or at the end of the dp. I dont always have my wideband/laptop in...
Agreed :DI have dsmlink and a techedge wideband to tune. The egt is just there to monitor and if something does go wrong, the temps will rise and fall just as if it was in the manifold. I did not want to tap my dnp manifold so that is why I chose the o2 housing as well. I've got mine taped...
Ya, it took me 4 different gauge before I finally got one that had the needle on 0. Just hang in there and you'll eventually get one. Now another thing...The very first one I got was calibrated right and then a couple of months later it was reading off, which forced me to buy another one and...
power house is fine for the dyno, just dont let them work on your car. If your going to be in tulsa, there is a dyno called tulsa dyno the owner is chris and he is a nice guy. Also, if you want some tuning done, call up before and maybe BJ from BJ's Cylinder next door will come by and help you...
Well for number 1 it could be your isc. Did you run coolant to tb or did you bypass that?? When I bypassed mine, that was what I was experiencing. For number 2 the two solenoids that you are talking about are the (driver side) evaporative emission purge solenoid valve and the other one...
Aweome, thanks guys...I have been tossing back the water injection idea for sometime now and I think I will use it since it would be able to run more boost on pump gas. You'll probably be getting a lot of PMs from me in the near future :D
Bohrn, maybe you can put togeather a Vfaq on that? I for one would be greatly interested. If not, I understand, but it would be great if you can:D Copied your above statement, but I am seriously interested.
Ya, I cant help ya there, I just used the stock return line. But I guess you would cut the fitting off the stock feed line where the fuel filter use to be and run a hose from the fpr to the stock feed line in the engine bay. Then by the fuel tank, where you pushed the stock feed line out of the...
Sounds like you know what your doing... :DEdit, the only stock fitting that is -6an is from the fuel pump. Then you are going to use your aftermarket fuel line, aftermarket fittings, aftermarket fuel filter, then attach to the fuel rail with a -6an adapter right. Are you doing any more...
Yep, the fitting off the fuel pump is a 6an...just any earls or aeromotive fitting will work. It was a b**** to get the hose off of that fitting for me I ended up using some vise grips to get it off, hopefully you'll have better luck. When you do take that fitting off, use those special brake...
I would say no, I have had mine for about 6 months on my daily driver and its starting to get old, in fact it already is. I am either going to get a new o2 housing and route it back or extend the dump tube to the rear of the car following the dp.
Ya, I checked my oil and it had bubbles in it, but that was right after a minute start up I let it sit and checked it again and there were no bubbles its just normal old oil color, I think the color change is only in the catch can.
Sweet...Ya it has been 100% humidity and been raining for the...
I have the roadrace engineering catch can atmosphered and hooked up to both the valve cover vent a my eliminated pvc barb. I finally drained the catch can after about six months and the color of the oil was a greenish tan color. Is that normal?? Before I installed the catch can it was used as a...
Mine wouldnt shut, pissed me off...so I replaced it with another track assembly I got at a salvage yard and the old one was completely mess up. The actual screw/wire things that move the tracks were all stripped. It was pretty easy to replace. If you are having a hard time finding some I know a...
I had one on my neon with their S16G and that smic was always warm to touch, so it didnt seem to work very well, but I am sure it helped. For the same amount of money you can find a supra smic and many people have got those to work. There is even a howto install on the vfaq.com site. I dont have...
My hvac did the same thing. The lights just went out all of a sudden but nothing else did. Then one time while I was driving I changed the temp from cold to hot...kinda in a hurry and the lights turned back on. So, everytime they go out, I give it a good hit and they come back on lol. If its...
Ok, I was recently given a FP Red turbo with the 8cm housing. I currently have an FP Green with the 7cm housing on my car right now. I have had good luck with the green and love it, but there is that part of me that wants more power. The car is a daily driver with occasional trips to the drag...
I have my ipod mounted in the empty hole in the hvac. I bought an in-car charger from a company called sik and it has a an unamplified line out going into my headunit. Here are pics.
I have the defi, but they have some problems...I had to buy 2 boost gauges and return one of them twice before I got one that was not miscalibrated. Once you get a good one, they are nice and pretty :D
I dont have any pics but the way I clean my engine bay for shows is...while the engine is warm spray it down with some tire foam cleaner. Just leave it sit and let the foam do its stuff, then after an hour or so...wipe everything down with a rag... :D
Ive been collecting a bunch of 1/64 models for about a year and now Im start 1/18 and 1/25 because I cant find any more 1/64 that I like. I've got a bunch and just bought the red muscle machines gst, I'll try and get some pics soon. :D
Just the way the front bumper looks because of the no reinforcement thing and the targa top. I know they existed and probably a repost but I havent seen a decent picture of one.

I have defi d-gauges....and love them. They function great so I guess the functionality is
great as well and they look good at night.dont mind the boost gauge reading....i was doing a boost leak test and decided to take some pics while I was waiting. ;)
I had a turbo'd neon (chrysler version of the 420a) with the hrc stage 2 kit before I got my dsm and it was fun and fast. Ran a 13.1 @ 110. But it was also the most unreliable car ever. There was something constantly wrong with it from boost leaks, burning exhaust manifold gaskets, to blowning...
