With compression as low as these motors have, how could you blow the motor with a stock turbo at 15 psi? There is enough injector to handle it and the knock sensor should have told the ECM to pull timing when needed. Is there something more i need to know about these motors before I modify mine?

No that wouldnt have caused the head gasket to blow, you might want to check for other problems.

I have found that on an AWD daily driver, the lightened flywheel can be a bit of a pain. When putting around town you probably arent gonna be shifting quickly thru the gears and you will lose alot of rpms between shifts. I would do what GTM said and try to find someone with a similar setup and...

Yes it is an intermittent problem. It would go back to normal, then back to low boost randomly...all while cruising at freeway speeds. Also wouldnt a boost leak cause a rough idle or other signs as well? I will verify everything is tight and pressure check the intake tract to make sure tho.

well I ended up running both wire and vac line thru the speedo cable grommet, its a tight fit running the wire on that side of the car because the trunk and gas door latch are in the way but I managed to make it without too much fuss.
