Hey all. I just wanted to share the photos I snapped from the Shootout this year. I have a link to them below. I have attached a couple to the page and the rest can be found on the following link. Click Here for the rest of the Gallery.
If you guys wanted to leave a little earlier, we have a good size caravan meeting up in Oberlin, OH pretty close to the track Sunday. We are leaving at 9:30am for Norwalk. There are 3 groups of us gathering there. If you are interested the address for the Walmart is U.S. 20, Oberlin, OH.If...
Hey all, here are some pics from the DSM Shootout from this year. It was a great time and I hope a lot of you were able to make it out! Pictures from the 2012 Buschur Racing DSM/EVO Shootout! « Don Xu Photography
If you can get fittings to fit on it, I don't see why you can't use it. Although a 120psi regulator will be a little overkill, you will have to definitely play with it to be able to figure out where the knob needs to be to find the correct the boost setting.
If the hood is cracking, the resin is probably what you see cracking, most likely its wet carbon which is the way they cure the hood, the resin is probably UV damaged from being in the sun, you can clear coat it, but it may not take away the spidering, it may help it though. Or you can just...
Hey everyone there is a group of us crusin' out Sunday to the DSM Shootout 2010. We are meeting on the at the Stow Wal-mart to leave at 9:30am Sunday the 15th. The Stow wal-mart is on Hudson Drive.
Even though most carbon fiber pieces come with a UV coating to help reduce fade, I would clear coat it. I had my carbon trunk cleared and it looks amazing. It looks much deeper when its cleared and it helps protect it even more.
I'm from Stow/kent area. For anyone interested the Stow Goodyear Gemini that I am working at is hosting a weekly cruise-in starting may 8th at 7pm. We have a good dsm group in Stow, there are actually two of us who work at the Goodyear that have 2gs. If anyone is ever in the area feel free to...
Ok, so I've done some searching and I'm king of confused about this. My last car I ran a FPBigT28 on my stock oil lines for my 2g. Now I have a E316g for my other 2g and I'm getting slightly confused on what I need for the oil line. I know many people say to run oil feed from the head and some...
Your best bet is to take the cambolts with you and have them do it, or have the other spacers with you. Every vehicle is different when it comes to alignment specs and how it has been treated and driven in the past.
In my opinion it isn't going to be as easy as you think. To dye it correctly you are going to need to pull the whole top off the frame, pull the entire window off and dye the stayfast canvas, that is assuming the canvas will even take the dye. I just bought a new top for my spyder from...
Agreed on the possiblity of it coming from the trunk. My buddy had a 2g and it flooded the rear because the drains in the hatch were plugged. You would be surprised where water can sneak up on you from. I would go through and check everything, Pull the carpet.
My buddy had a similar issue with his DSM, it ended up being the front differential. Now if its coming from the crank side, it is very possible it could be something behind the timing cover. I would pull the timing cover and inspect it. Last thing you want is the belt to go. I've seen that...
on the 2g's the line running from the wasgate has a restrictor in it. I got rid of it back in the day when I went to a mbc, and it never seemed to change anything.
My fault I forgot to post the linkYouTube - Bobby Light Dirty Girl Halloween EditionI must have been half awake when i made this postYouTube - Bobby Light Dirty Girl Halloween Edition
Hey all its my day off of work. We got extremely bored during a halloween party over the weekend so we made a Bobby Light video for any of you that watch MTV's Rob & Big.
23 bucks a quart? What type of fluid you puttin in there son? Liquid Gold? Shouldn't cost you that much for tranny fluid. For manual trannys its only like 17 bucks max for good stuff.
Spec does make a good clutch, and is well known in the nissan community. I used to run a fidanza clutch and it was awesome, never had any issues. I just made sure to run the factory throw out bearing. I used to run a fidanza 2.1 with a 14lb fidanza flywheel on a 97 gst close to 300hp, not...
if its a rotational noise it is very possible that the center diff on the tranny is bad. My buddies awd blew the center diff and it sounded like a helicoptor goin down the road. We ended up not being able to pull one of the axles out because it was completely seized up in the center diff.
I've had a buddy with a Godspeed fmic, and it installed with no problems, no fitment issues. seems to work very nicely. so +1 on Godspeed. I'm not positive on the turbos, seems to be hit or miss, but remember Godspeed started off as a eBay company. Some people have had no issues with ebay...
+1 on the punishment kit, a buddy of mine just put it on hi car, quality is great and the price wasn't bad at all either. I have purchased stuff from punishment as well, good people to deal with.On my old 97 GST I ran a Dejon fmic setup, which I think they've discontinued. That was a nice...
is the vehicle making a clicking noise when you turn or is it an all the time issue while your driving? Any weird noise when driving coming from the tranny at all?
The easiest way that I discovered on how to remove that metal bushing is to pack the end of the bushing with grease. get a 6 to 8 inch dowel rod that will fit inside the bushing and take a hammer and hammer the dowel rod in. What it does is force the grease and basically presses it out. I've...
Disconnect the lines going to the factory boost solenoid and just run the vacuum lines to the MBC as stated with your instructions. If you want you can leave the harness plugged into the solenoid, but I don't necessarily know if you have to, I don't believe you throw a code if you don't, but I...
from what I've seen, I've seen people take like the seams on the body of the vehicle, mostly inside the vehicle, after striping out the sound deadening material you get a welder and just run spots of weld where body panels meet. If you look for the joints you'll see them you usually see like 1...
I think if you eliminate the starter plate you may run into issues with alignment on the starter. I guess the only thing to do is try it and find out if it works. someone please correct if i'm wrong.
your project definitely sounds very doable. One thing I would suggest is, if you're trying to strip some weight from the vehicle I would get a hold of some dry ice and put it on the sound deadening material and then chisel it away with a hammer and long screwdriver or chisel. If you have any...
I just bought the Punishment Racing Downpipe, it is sawwweeet. Bolts right up, no issues and it already has cat delete, just bolts right to a catback. If your welding stainless steel you'll need special welding wire.
I agree, its not that bad. You will get used to it and your calf muscle will get huge!!! :hellyeah: I mean, unless your going to be driving in stop go traffic in New York City with no accumulator a 2600 ACT would be just fine. Your leg will thank you when all the ladies check out your mean calf...
You could just get a already made uicp and cut the flang off and weld in another flange for the evo bov, or I'm sure there is some place on ebay selling some type of piping already flanged for an evo bov. I guess it just depends on how good your fabrications skills are and/or if you want to...
